Not like it ever was in the first place! If you read the original bios in question, it never states anything explicitly... it's just that dirty sex-deprived gamers read into it and it became the way things were since the bios were never changed.

At least that is how I saw it.

Not true. I think it would be easy to toss a few of those pieces on as accent to almost any tech-based armor. Of course, the issue I see is the sheer volume of tech pieces this game already has (not that those new ones aren't beautiful).
  3. I find it odd that folks don't have her on ignore...

Of course, even if I didn't... they would still amount to the same thing.

    Swinglines!

Perhaps the solution is to include multiple varieties customization for the "swingline." A web-like one, a normal grappling hook, and a technological device that creates an object at it's endpoint from which to swing. That way, the purists have their Spider-man/Batman and everyone else has a "functional" swingline.

    Am I being too generous?

Indeed... there are certain upsides! Plus Stone Melee looks pretty cool too. In fact, I am tempted to roll one, maybe with a lava/steam type theme.

While that may be, I think it is safe to say that the public at large is made of idiots who would be entertained watching a fat man fart for an hour and a half. That said, there are two glaring examples of problems that made watching Transformers 2 a bit painful for me:
    • One: The twins and their "jokes."
    • Two: The fact that a giant robot was given testicles in the form of wrecking balls. Seriously?

Isn't that a contradiction in terms? I mean, "grind" certainly implies tedium and un-funnes, doesn't it?

    Annoying Players

Wow... just, wow. I basically (with few exceptions) never use IOs... and just earned my 42 Month badge. I wonder if I am simply too dumb to play on that guy's teams? Hopefully, then I wouldn't have to listen to his BS and pretend not to be mad to avoid being kicked.

    Beastial Claws

I am not in favor of a new Claws set being created... but I am very MUCH in favor of having bestial claws somehow be a customization option for the existing Claws set.
  12. I think my favorite is actually the Eidolon! I made an Eidolon myself who is based on rust (who also uses EnA), I called him Rustblight.

  13. To Fight:
I absolutely LOVE fighting Freakshow. They are colorful and fairly easy, but best of all they are NOT monotonous looking clones like the Council. A horde of giant-blade-for-an-arm beats olive drab anyday. And, of course I like the surprise that comes from their somewhat random chance to rez.

    Visually:
I love the look and style of Wyvern. I like the Freaks and Arachnos... but my all-time favorite looking enemy is a Greater/Lesser Devoured. I really wish we could have tentacle beards/faces on PCs.

    Concept:
Conceptually, I think one of my favorite groups is Arachnos. They are a hugely varied group all trying to live up to a survival of the fittest mantra (my favorite Marvel villain is Apocalypse, so this isn't surprising). Also, they are fun to fight and look pretty nifty too.

    Overall:
I really think that Wyvern wins the day for me. I like that they are a 'secret' group funded and founded by Manticore because he thinks other organizations are a bit too wussy. I love their look... and I really love how they got tied into Chimera's missions in Praet via the costumry of the Project Phoenix folks. And, to top it all off, they are one of the few groups to use bow and arrow (and theyhave friggin' quivers!). My only desire is that they appear on blueside and that they appear MORE on redside.

Gotta agree: I very much like that idea too. In fact, I suggested it too you after the most recent arc... and you told me that you had thought of that already and almost did it for THAT arc. What can I say, great minds think alike.

I think good candidates would be Manticore (you could include Wyvern.... one of my favorite groups), Ms. Liberty and some group of Longbow going "rogue" OR you could use Malaise and create a custom group of the Shadow Shard reflections that would appear to be just his Illusions running amok! Or do all three and REALLY pump up the challenge factor by having 3 rogue AVs spread across 4 or 5 missions. Hmmmm, now *I* want to make that arc. Hahaha!

    ATs and Genders

I only play male characters... so no, I do not. And I have played every AT at least once.
  16. Jason and I are both going to visit the fam damily in WI for a few days and so we won't be able to join you guys. Well... technically one or the other of us could, but that might make my mom mad.

    See ya next week!

(By the way, I liked your arc Ny... I just question LR's appearance a bit.)

I didn't quote you for a reason... and was referring to the practice in general. Also, recall the second sentence of my post, which was indeed sympathetic if your problem wasn't that your "bank" got dumped.

    No need to get defensive.

    Emails Gone

IIRC it has been stated that the email system is not intended to be used as a bank. Sucks if you lost stuff before you had an opportunity to claim it though.

  20. I think that Zombie Man fits into about the same category as Arcanaville. Both are very knowledgeable about the areas about which they post, and both have played this game for so long that most forum readers can't remember them NOT being here. On top of that, they are both very professional overall and rarely get involved in some of the petty crap that occurs on the forums. As such, they seem "official." The fact that both are likely the first people ever invited to any given Beta also makes their knowledge seem god-like to those who don't really follow such things.

I think that sums it up... doesn't it?
  21. I just wanted to let everyone know that Jason and I have tickets to the midnight showing of HP on our next evening of RP... soooo we might have to book a tad early (11ish) so that we can get good seats and such.

I dunno how many missions Ny's arc is, so I don't know if that will be an issue or not.
  22. Sounds to me like an error in your perception. Careful time testing would be required to make sure either way... but I can't imagine they are ACTUALLY wearing off too soon.

    Shield Charge

Are you sure the +Dmg buffs transfer to the pseudo-pet that is created by LR and SC? I am not questioning you so much as honestly asking. I know at one time pseudo-pets did not receive such buffs due to the damage not coming directly from the actual caster.

Now THAT is a point with which I can totally agree.
