I've gotten all the badges in one run once or twice... it takes a somewhat knowledgeable group, but it isn't especially unlikely.

One word: Mojo!

Those things you mentioned? They aren't illogical. They are the reason I am still playing after 5 years... not the numbers.

First off, you want to /chanjoin "Justice United" and /chanjoin "Justice For All". Pretty much everything can be formed through there.
As far as times, there are two sorta peak times due to a lot of Aussies on Justice. One is around 8 or 9 pm eastern until midnight or so, earlier and later on weekends, and the othe block is from like 3 am until 7 or 8 am eastern. (I think I have those right).
You will definitely find that DFBs are less popular here than Freedumb and ((Virtue)). Hope that helps, oh... and:
Welcome to Justice!! -
A Capo's what in a bucket?

Bummer? Real life happens. *shrug*
Also, how are you a +4 (which I assume means at least T3ed in several slots and having popped an Ultimate) but not "incarnated enough"? -
Also, using powers as "set mules" really bugs me on some level as well. There is just something about getting bonuses for a power you never use that seems highly illogical. But, I won't even posit a way to "fix" that.
I think these ideas I keep having belonged in Memphis Bill's thread about what you'd do as a Dev to get players to hate you.
Ha! -

Quote:Well... yeah, this is quite the tangent. But nerf herding is a ridiculous term, IMO.I was hoping this topic was going to continue discussing power pools... you know the actual topic of the OP... sadly it seems we've devolved into nerf herding...
Seriously though, I am stoked about the potential things I see coming down the pike for Power Pools! Hopefully Wednesday brings us more news. -
Yes, something tells me that losing up to +37.5% Rech from suddenly exceeding the Rule of Five on Huge Recharge bonuses would cause some huge and unsightly upheaval. So, I think it would likely end up being very bad for the game.
Simultaneously, I believe that it is far too easy to get insane recharge and defense in a build... stats that enable the trivialization of content in a way that set bonuses for Immobilization Resistance will never be capable of. As such, I think that is bad for the game as well.
It is obvious to me which the Devs see as worse. I stand by their decision... hence my "suggestion" (even though it will never happen and I am sorta glad from the aspect of player attrition).
Also, thanks Hopeling for understanding where I was coming from. -
My ability to buy said IO has zero to do with my somewhat tongue-in-cheek suggestion, I have several.
And yes, Rajani Isa, that is precisely what I meant. -
Ummm, that change was made many Issues before Tiitan Weapons existed. So, implying that they should have done that... is well... time dilated? Now to suggest they revisit the power now to "fix" this percieved issue is another matter entirely.
Also, Bill's example is perfectly and totally salient to his point. -
While we are discussing nerfs to Recharge... a great way to fix the IO side of things would be to put the LotG +Rech bonus in the same category of other similar sized bonuses to force it to obey the Rule of 5... and not be in some special category by itself.

[Edit: My post was made -before- the edit above to add the PM comments.] -
You mean Diabolique, not Desdemona.
Also, re: Venture's insane idea to destroy ill-gotten research: So, it is better for people to die in vain at the hands of a madman than to have their unfortunate deaths actually mean something? -
Interesting... I thought Handclap was universally reviled/skipped.

No, you can't slot it into Repel since it doesn't take Damage Enhancements. Also of note, is that Repel doesn't do Knockback at all! It uses the repel mechanic which is not the same thing.

Wow... what a pointless thing to get pissy and need to be right over.
This really is the internet, isn't it? -
Quote:This! To be fair, we should have this expanded both directions. Dual Pistols could use alternate, "boring" animations, and Thugs should get the flashy ones as alternate as well.
One million times.
I would love the option to have more mundane gun shooting animations. Mayhap it will be an option when the timing on DP is adjusted in i24. -
/signed one million times... with as many forged signatures as I need to get this to happen!

I use that power with reckless abandon on my MM, but don't have it at all on my 'Troller. It certainly is a contender in my book!

With everyone going crazy trying to negate pretty much every iota of knockback around... well... I got to wonderin' what one power makes the best use of the knockback mechanic?
This can be defined however you like (fun, utility, etc.), just make sure to let us know which type of "best" you mean.
To me the best use of knockback in a power (in terms of usefulness) is in powers like [Telekinetic Thrust]. It's single target, it does a fair amount of damage, and is used by ATs that are mostly ranged with lowish HP. That means they can still attack the dude as he goes flying, and can maximize the mitigation KB provides since the enemy will need to close to melee (in many cases) again in order to do it's hardest hitting attacks.
What do you folks think?
