Something like that was my first thought, but it seems... unsatisfying in some way. *Sigh* Failing other options, I will likely go with something like that.

I have a Demon Summoning Mastermind with a technological bent, that is playing off his Demons as though they are some sort of Solid Hologram. And, ideally, I would like it to appear as though they all have the same name.
Originally, I went with the name Illusion for them all since the I --> L trick can be used in a lot of combinations across all 6 of the pets. However, I don't think that conveys that the pets are actually there... not just pretend. So, I named some of them Solid Hologram and others I suppose, could just be Hologram, but that doesn't make me as happy.
Any ideas for a naming convention that can accomplish this? -

Quote:The problem with your question is that it presupposes folks are okay with PLing. I, for one, am not. I won't do it... period.I just started doing some arcs from Oro that were needed for accolades. They have the low level arcs in a cleaned up version - no being sent to Hollows to talk to a guy, no random missions that are not part of the arc.
For those interested in the story arcs, leveling to get to Oro and then just doing the arcs through there seems much better than trying to get the right contacts, sort through the garbage missions, etc.
Do people use Oro for their content or still do it the old fashioned way?
Were I able to do Ouro arcs without that pre-req? I probably would. -

I think the biggest issue with wanting costume parts like tights and things designed for a bygone era of costumes is that this game is very much set in the modern world... as such, it would seem like some of the art folks won't want to dig into the past for something like tights that are being made now, in the present day. Other past-themed costume sets focus on items that are only available from that setting (but I am likely forgetting stuff).

Quote:I figured that would be your take on it.No Problem. You're just tellin it like it is and I'm not one to be offended by the truth.
I just wanted to make it clear I wasn't calling you a women's cleansing product or anything. I was just pointing out that you, of all posters perhaps, are probably the most equal opportunity as insult flinging goes. -

No, it really isn't. I am under the impression that once you delete a character, it is still associated with your account for a period of time in which only you can have access to it before it is officially "free" to use according to the DB.

Ummm, ITF is not a Level 50 TF. It is a Level 35+ TF.
Quote:I really can't disagree with this more... which I suppose goes to show you how many different kinds of folks play this game.I run the DFB from 1-20 on every new character. Why? Because I have been playing for over 7 years and have done the 1-20 game (yes even the "new"one) far too many times. For me the game comes alive at level 20, before that it seemed like a grind. Yeah, I like the DFB and what it offers.
Level 20 is right about where the vast majority of my new characters stall out. I play maybe 1 DFB every few months... I really can't stand it, due (in part) to how many folks seem to do nothing but that content. When I make a new character, I really like just playing through some early level content, street sweeping, etc. I think the levels come fast and furious and the gains of new powers makes it fun. As you get to 20 and beyond, that slows down a lot. -

Quote:The dude who was the guest was sorta cute though... if you like that sorta thing.Basically an infomercial for the new logitech mouse. It's neat but probably one of the most skippable coffee talks in a while, you're not missing out on much unless you're a really big tech geek for gaming.

As long as it is a Strike Force, and not a Task Force, I am all for it.
Much harder on red to get that badge then on blue. -
Yes.
Once you get a Senior GM you can have an actual conversation usually (through e-mail) and try to have them reverse the decision/situation.
No guarantees though.
Also, sometimes tossing a PM to Zwillinger will get the ball rolling.
Note: Politeness and patience DOES count in this process. -
Quote:The fact that folks are picky is, to me, no problem at all... it's the folks who try one name and give up that get to me.some people insist on pretending imaginary problems are real.
It seems that while the OP is certainly selective in his names, he is also willing to go with any suggestion that fits his needs. The real issue with picking names isn't creativity, or many other issues folks claim... it is adaptability. -
I have a comment: Katana Manipulation is a horrendous name.

As long as there is an "opt out" feature, that pretty much dismisses all the "woes" raised in Bill's post.
I see no issue with this at all. -

When will people stop saying "toon" instead of "character"?
LOL -
Some folks actually are rude, but I am quite sure the "spirit" of the above post you mentioned was to make it easier for folks to help you out. Because, well, that first post doesn't exactly spell out how you want us to assist you in your quest for fun and awesomeness.
