Yellow is for breaking the 4th wall
[/ QUOTE ]
Huh? I never knew the yellow was for breaking the 4th wall.
By the way, that yellow-coloured text hurted my eyes...literally. -
[ QUOTE ]
I agree with Alpha, the game's becoming City of Heroes & Anti-Heroes with all the co-op zones poping up
[/ QUOTE ]
Aye. I would also suggest making the things you do in CoV a little more...evil, y'know. Because real comic book villains would probably laugh in shame at what villains do in CoV. -
[ QUOTE ]
I second Damz vote of Wales, or possibly Scotland
I dunno everyone goes to england and Ireland but leave us poor sods out.
[/ QUOTE ]
Agreed. -
chilliPepper, are you suggesting a sort of "secret identity" thing with the roam areas in disguise suggestion? NC (well Cryptic but it still stands) has said that it's very hard to do such a thing.

1) 6 isn't it, as of the last patch (yesterdays).
[/ QUOTE ]
I was going to say the same...if the stupid form invalid thing didn't strike again.
2) Probably a bug. -
So far, the MA itself is pretty good. The only real problem with the MA designer is that we don't have patrol/talk missions (yes, they're annoying, but I would use them sparringly).
The MA search engine? Not fit. When you're trying to search specific names like um AG (yes that's a real character name) you just get 20+ pages of arcs with a and g in them. Not really good is it.
There's also a bit too many bugs to justify the realase. For example, you can't use brackets (this may apply to all special characters)/colours in nav objectives. If you do, it won't show up on the nav. Which is terribly annoying if you're trying to say (Optional) with the Optional in red text.
Overall, the MA is good, but just has a few blips in the system that doesn't make it reach it's full potential. -
No, you can't change an enhancement. What you can do though is to delete the enhancement and then replace it with the enhancement you want, but it's going to cost you buying the replacement enhancement.
Hope that answered your question. -

So the game is female . . . . . interesting . . . . . .
[/ QUOTE ]
Wait you mean we're all here paying money to have a female on the internet entertain us? Surely that's unheard of
[/ QUOTE ]
Yes, CoX is bisexual and is dating over 100,000 people. -
[ QUOTE ]
there are villains in GC. we know this, we see them and we beat them up despite Hero Corp HQ being there. so why not give the opiton of "real" villains as well ?
[/ QUOTE ]
The enemy groups are NOT villains. They are criminals.
[ QUOTE ]
GC is getting less use these days. AP is the more popular destination.
[/ QUOTE ]
It's still used as a RP destination on Union. I still see a few people go there, sometimes I start my toons there as well.
There are many zones like Boomtown, Dark Astoria, Monster Island etc there are a wasteland, literally. Can't see anybody in there. Galaxy City is a different story compared to them...a place like Dark Astoria would be a much better place for a suggesion like this.
So, /unsigned.
[ QUOTE ]
havent played DC universe online yet. I take it you have and its not very good?
[/ QUOTE ]
Um...he's saying the devs have pointed out that a similar feature will be in DCUO, he never said anything about it being good or bad. -

[ QUOTE ]
But you can be only lvl 1 in Outbreak...does that mean you have to start all over again in the Rogue Isles?
[/ QUOTE ]
No, you can be level 1 in Atlas, Galaxy or Mercy Island too, if you skip the training zone.
[/ QUOTE ]
No. I'm meaning that in Raamon's suggestion, when the villain reaches the co-op zone level cap, Longbow start ambushing you, and if you're defeated you're taken to Breakout. (sorry, I meant Breakout in my earlier post)
You can only be level 1 in Breakout, so for example if the co-op zone level cap was level 8 and you were defeated, you would return to Breakout...as a level 1. So you are basically de-levelling if you're defeated -
[ QUOTE ]
ah, but you could still have low level villains doing low level villainous things.
yes the big scale hero-villain battles as lvl 50s eye each other up would happen. thats what the higher pvp zones are for but you get vazhilok and hellions up to level 5 or 6 in GC so why not villains up to 5 or 6 as well ?
a hero running through GC has to avoid enemies or fight. A villain running through GC would have to avoid police or fight... same thing.
Freedom Corp HQ being in galaxy makes no difference. by that logic there shouldnt be any "evildoers" in the area because Longbow would have them all arrested.
in my original post i said: make Galaxy city a low level co-op / grey area
the low level wasnt a random occurrance. I was thinking levels 1-10 or 1-8.. once you go above the limit you draw the attention of longbow and you start getting ambushed so its in your toons own best intersts to leave, of if defeated he ends up in the zig and has to do breakout anyway.
as for importing prisoners: fair enough, they imprison rogue isle prisoners in the zig but they would also jail paragon city lawbreakers there too. my suggestion was possibly too simplistic but yours makes it sound like the only prisoners come from the rogue isles and that no-one gets arrested in paragon city.
no need to apologise for disagreeing. debate = a good thing and imho its the best way to develope an idea beyond the initial though
[/ QUOTE ]
But...what's the point? Why are the heroes and villains working together in a co-op enviroment? What's happening in Galaxy City that is making villains want to come there too?

I never said they never arrested in Paragon City, and the example of a Hellion in my post > Hellions are in Paragon City too.
Still just doesn't make sense to me. -

I would be happy with another co-op zone
[/ QUOTE ]
Good lord no! Sick fed up of co-op zones being done to ensure that they can fit more bang in for their buck, rather than do too separate areas for heroes and villains.
No to more co-op zones. Yes to separate Hero/Villain stories/areas!
[/ QUOTE ]
^ Agreed.
Server merge: I don't think it would be a really valid option until the population drops down more. While I wouldn't mind a server merge where I could keep all my stuff, there's no urgent need for it.
Allowing all zones: No, no, no, no. Open world PvP is going to turn this game into well... a PvP MMORPG. People pay and expect a normal MMORPG...it's fine and dandy if there's just PvP zones (which theyre already are), but everwhere being PvP would just make many people drop the game - and make possible new players avoid it.
/unsigned to all -

it breaks the "lore of the game" ? what?
I thought the game was about you know, heroes arresting villains and villains tryign to avoid being arrested while they do nefarious things....
so, if anyhting , its actually closer to the core tenet of the game lore
involves PvP (no idea why you put the lol in there) : yes, some people (not me by the way) enjoy pvp. i'm not selfish enough to just consider what I want when I think about an idea, I do try to include others , even if I dont see the appeal in what they want. tbh, i couldnt care less about pvp but for those that do like it, a low level pvp enabled zone might be a nice draw it *might* actually enhance the game by giving them an added sense of danger or purpose as they go about the missions. perhaps a series of PvP specific missions could be devised that are only accessible or do-able with PvP toggled to on ?
out of curiosity: where do you think the rogues of the rogue isles come from? are they born in the zig ? the fact that the ziggurat is based in brickstown would suggest that the villains are arrested in paragon city (or do the paragon authorities import them?) and then, during breakout they escape to the rogue isles...
the galaxy idea, of something like it, would give the option of a non-zig based startup.
I used to love starting in galaxy city but its pretty much dead now, I was just tryign to think of a way to make use of it again
[/ QUOTE ]
It breaks the game lore because the Freedom Corps HQ is in Galaxy, it holds many tributes to fallen heroes. If any villains were to be in there, Longbow would take them out and into the Zig in 10 seconds. And you can't really have a massive hero vs villain fight in a densly populated city of civilians, unless it's a one-off.

[/ QUOTE ]
So, what, do you think that Longbow say to the Hellions, "We can't put you in jail because you're in the Rogue Isles instead of Paragon where the Zig is"? No! Because they are obviously imported.
I'm sorry Raamon, but your suggestion just doesn't make...sense. -

Um...shouldn't this be in Suggestions?
[/ QUOTE ]
No, this is the temporary power in the Magic Booster pack, hopefully available tomorrow
[/ QUOTE ]
Oh...looked like a sort of suggestion to me :S. -
That's funny, my arc work perfectly fine even with <br> tags.
-
I Google'd it, found that Bulldog, AOL, UK Round the Clock and Zen all offer 6 month contracts.
By the way, this should really be in Tech Issues. -

[ QUOTE ]
Well, I don't think it's really anybody else's fault other than yours that you replayed an arc. You might wanna take some time to remember that you've played this before.
[/ QUOTE ]
Why should I have to remember what I've done if one of the search features does that for me, might as well not have the search engine.
[/ QUOTE ]
That's a valid point, but for the simple reason it's not good enough to allow a suggestion like this like I said before. -
[ QUOTE ]
That's true Rock, but unfortunatly, sods law and all, that means either D's(Yay. -.-) or RWZ(also yay -.-) both of which have downsides that tend to steer most people away from RPing there.(Most GG'ers or smart people that is. THose that RP in D's tend to do it in the Redside bar or in the arena in the wee hours if they have much sense.)
[/ QUOTE ]
Actually, there is quite a few in D past 8pm. Although I agree with you, I'm not too fond of blue bar, lot of gods demi-gods supers etc, not enough 'normal' characters, but there seems to be a lot more 'normal' characters in the red bar (I see a lot of criminals, VEATs, etc there) -
[ QUOTE ]
But you can publish 3 at any one time so you can have you two parter or even make a tri, but after they are published you can't touch em for 31 days.
And Xem mate tweaking things isn't that what test is there for?
You can get someone to join you on test to tweak if you want someone else is input, without having to publish.
I normally go for missions on date preference, and put on serarch filter to knock out previous completed missions, I did a mission the other day and got a big case of de ja vu, yep you guessed it somone had unpublished and republished ,thus my search filter has become null and void and ended up repeating someones mission instead of trying someone else's.

Probably those emotional CoV arcs (Wretch, Westin Phipps etc).
-
Yeah, I remember the old days when I was on a trial you could do anything you wanted, now one of the most unique parts of CoX is going to be mostly blocked off to trialers. Very sad.
