Taunt CAN be useful in some situations, my point was that it's not nearly as useful as IH on a Regen, but it is fair to point out that Taunt isn't utterly useless. I think for general zone play, taunt on Scrappers is fairly useless, and I doubt this guy is going to take his KM/Regen into arena matches.
PS... You probably mean conscience which is the inner sense of what is right or wrong.

Taunt can be pretty useful on a scrapper, it still does -range and in 2v2s or small teams you can taunt the target off of your teammate. -

OK.... the greed has over taken my hording nature.
I still have lots of Sheild Walls for sale.
I ended up putting a bunch of the pans on the market for 2 bill each, so I think I have only 4 of those left.
I do have 2 glad armors left as well (lvl 50) and one lvl 10.
However, I have someone else who is offering to sell some of these IOs as well so I can put you in touch with her if I run out.

I totally understand where you are coming from, in the sense that time spent should have some value. I mean its why we want to know how much our jobs will pay and such.
However, I wonder if since this is a game and pretty much all of us play it for fun if the time spent getting these items really has a value since its really all just play time?
Maybe I'm over simplifying things. Like I said I do understand your point about effort and time having an intrinsic value even if its only to ourself. -
I'm actually curious why there is so much rage (well ok not rage, but indignation) about trading a name for influence.
I have been following this thread, somewhat, and pretty much already expressed my opinion that there is nothing different from people selling SG bases or costume codes than names.
I understand that some people feel that some items hold an 'intrinisic' value but honestly nothing in this game has any real world value (or at least it shouldn't).
Stating that a name is a "free" commodity no more true than any other item in the game IOs drop for free, prestige is free.
I have no strong feelings either way about this honestly, I'm just saying we wouldn't ask an artist to give out free artwork just because the pixels that they used to create the picture were "free" we are willing to pay for their creativity, and this can also translate to people who pay others to build bases for them.
Would it have been nice for the OP to give those names away in a name exchange thread, yes, but should we expect everyone to be that generous, not really.
I actually do agree with ironblade that trading names for inf probably isn't really a 'community service' but it is a service that some people might be willing to trade influence for. -

I would disagree. I understand that some people would (and perhaps rightfully so) upset if these were peoples "global name" as those are unique to each of us, but I think these names are pretty generic names.
People "sell" (really its more trading) a lot of items/services:
I have seen more than one person sell a sg base - which if it was built from the prestige of mulitple players would be a lot 'dirtier' than selling a name.
I've seen people selling "pvp builds"- pretty funny considering you can ask just about any decent pvper and they will share them with you for free.
I have in the past traded with people to build a base, artwork, costume codes, booster packs, even crafting recipes for me.
Asking or telling the OP that he should just give the names way if he isn't going to use it would be the same (in my mind) as telling anyone who is saving hami os or purples or even inf that they should just toss it to a random player.
Is it shady to sell names...maybe if you view that person as a claim jumper. Is it a service...maybe if you view that person as offering this name as a product of their imagination and creativity. -

DC never sought out the limelight or wanted to be seen as a leader but that is exactly how many of us viewed him.
He always impressed me with his knowledge of the game as well as the way he strove to get every last badge possible. While he and I did not always see eye to eye, he has always had my respect and will always be in my mind Victory's "Tank" others may play the AT but I don't think anyone could ever replace "DC".
DC and his family will be in my thoughts and prayers in this very sad time. -

This actually would have been funny if it hadn't already been done (tried) in the champion league.
Thanks for all the fun matches everyone. I was really glad that those nuggets made it through the whole season, I'm sure they would have shown up for the semi and finals if they had known they had more matches.
Hemm really tried to step up and keep Honeybadgers together when the leadership on that team got busy with RL and that was really great to see as well.
I'm glad Philly finally got on a team that appreciated her.
It sucks we didn't get to play Exile again, I think out of all the teams we were the closest matched and those matches were always a lot of fun.
Ware kept things funny and like exile we had a good time playing against them.
Also I was pretty impressed that Zwillinger actually came to almost all (didn't he miss only one?) of CN's matches that was really cool. -

No no... Cy I was comparing pre-A merits to post A merits.
LotG lvl 50 7.5 recharge were selling for about 250 pre A merits, I'm not at home to check the market but I believe they are selling for about 100million now.
Numina were selling for 100-150 pre A merits and now are like 50 mill (for the recipe at least I didn't check crafted yesterday). -
Yeah I have to echo what the rest said, everyone did a great job with their demo's.
I actually don't have much experience making 'really cool costumes' or rping as a character but it was a lot of fun! -
