Good call on Impale....focusing to much on sets for that. I wanted to keep the rech on SpineBurst so I could get it off twice with buildup (the activation/cast time + rech time lets it work with Hasten going).
I was trying to avoid the ToD/Gaussians b/c two or three out of those sets are well over 15 million each, which blows my imaginary "100 Mil. Influ" budget. Looks like I'll really need the ToD on Lunge to keep the Melee Def up. -
I've been playing around with my spines/fire scrapper who is fully IO'd at 50, but I'm just not happy with his level of defense. I love the idea of having a self heal, but I would rather not need it and just rely on the occasional respite when needed. So I was thinking...what secondary haven't I tried yet...and that's SR. I'm aiming for a build that can be put together for under 100 Million Influence, but still meet softcaps and give decent set bonuses....and this is what I came up with. I have the Numina's and Regen wasting away in an enhancement storage table, so I might as well use them...but they aren't necessary for the build.
By the way, emphasis on +Acc as I *hate* missing. Welcome any and all suggestions!

That Shield Charge recharge time made me cry a little when I saw how cheap the build was...until I noticed that.Here's how I'd do it, on the cheap side. Main sets that the build focuses on is Serendipities for defense and Multi-Strikes for PBAoE's, both sets are cheap and I think even use common salvage making them cheap to make. You'll have to pony up and get the Steadfast Unique, thats gonna cost you, you'd probably have better luck doing some AE missions for tickets and rolling bronze 10-14 bags untill you get one. The Gaussians set is kind of pricey these days as well. Shop smartly though, avoid "buy now" prices and you should be able to come in on a budget.
For power choices I respecced out of Parry, I didn't want it in my attack chain and I hit the softcap easily enough without it. I grabbed Manuevers and then went with the Body Mastery choices to help with endurance issues (since you won't be able to afford the recovery uniques).

Like Jack said, that build will use endurance pretty quickly if you're in steady combat, so I would definitely go for the PerfShifter Chance for Endu if you can in PP and Stamina. -

My super cheap BS/SD (under 60 mil with market patience, easily). Relies on Parry to cap Melee, built without tough/weave....and uses the medicine pool instead (for AidSelf).

Here's my planned build for my BS/SD. The aim was to keep the build under 75million and use the new mastery powers to help offset endu/regen issues. The RT + Reg is in there b/c I got lucky off of a roll....but the build doesn't depend on it. I also didn't want Tough/Weave and wanted a click heal (not dependent on Inspirations). Parry also puts the Melee Def at over 50.
If I enjoy the build, I'll respec into something more expensive with better global set bonuses....but I usually hold off on that until I'm convinced it'll be worth the cash and I really like the toon.

NCSoft/Paragon/Whomever = You've made money off of AE from me, b/c I was able to quickly level multiple characters in the past few months and enjoyed playing on Freedom so much that I actually bought 5 extra character slots for $20. I know others who've done the same thing, and even have alt accounts for that very purpose. I think at the end of the day revenue/income will be lost due to the change, despite how cool my green imps are. -

Haven't I played the game long enough to decide if I want some mindless fighting and levelling for a change of pace, as opposed to going through the same mission arcs and same contacts I have seen for years?
If someone wants to have a stable of 50's that they PL'ed in AE missions, who are you (or the Devs) to tell them they shouldn't? After all, we all pay the same amount of money to play the game. I wasn't aware some people's money granted their concerns a higher level of importance.
To the people that say the game was not "intended" to be played that way. Who are you (or the Devs) to say how the game should be played? Isn't that up to the individual, especially in a game that is built around varying levels of customiztion?
So, please, can someone explain to me what is so wrong about people using the AE system as they choose, other than that it offends your delicate sensibilities.

Here's the kicker, for me....the thing that bugs me the most about it. If the vets who don't like AE would just go do their TF's/Arc without worrying about how someone else is playing the game they both payed for and pay continually to play, then this wouldn't be an issue. I'm not in AE farming 52 maniac slammers hating on those doing the Statesmen TF (which is the only reason to get bonfire, btw xD)....Why is it such an issue for those who don't participate in AE to dictate (by their pissing and moaning) what farmers/power-levelers should be able to do? Just play the game how you want, and leave the others alone. -

How much do you anticipate that build costing? I know the market rises/falls on some enhances, but to my *untrained* eye, that looks like over a billion...easily.

Thanks for all the guidance and discussion so far. Build1 with my F/K has Psy as the Epic choice, and it's fully IO'd with normal enhances (no sets)...I'll get into slotting that down the road when I get a good farming build for influence return.
Build2 is configured as follows so far....I tried doing DeltaThermal's build (without those pricey LoTG's xD) and this is where I'm so far. I also dropped the Basilisks Gaze on Char and went with what you see below. I have noticed that accuracy is an issue for me on this build....wonder how that could be addressed?

That's about 600Mil Influ so far, which is what I had after pooling together all of my other characters money. I hope to make that back up within a week of active playing, though...so I consider it an investment.

Hiya All!
I'm looking to respec my F/K to the stone epic since I keep hearing how nice it is for farming. I have about 200-225MIL saved up and was wondering the best enhances to get for that influence range, with acceptable set bonuses. I'll be soloing 50 bosses (or 52 LT's) so I don't need the be all end all...just something that could survive that.
Also, as a general question....do you guys buy the already crafted IO's, or just get the recipes and do it yourself? Are the recipes generally cheaper substantially cheaper?
Thanks in advance for the help...I've been playing about 6 weeks and I'm pretty addicted! This will be my first attempt at a fully IO'd toon.
