  1. I only got three 50s -- I always wished I could've gotten more of them.

I never made a successful Soldier of Arachnos. I had a concept I was really happy with, but he didn't solo well in low levels, and I ended up deleting him.

I wish I'd been better able to figure out good ways to play blasters and controllers. They just never clicked with me, even when I had character designs I liked...

And I wish I'd done more TFs.
  2. I normally try to avoid blogwhoring my stuff, but I wrote this over the weekend and got it posted this morning.

I probably coulda gone on for another dozen paragraphs, but decided I should save some thoughts for further down the line...
  3. Thanks for telling us about Sister Flame way back when. That's still one of my favorite threads, and one of the stories I like to tell to people about how cool the people who play the game are. Best of luck to you and her and your other kids -- I think y'all are awesome.

ALSO: "Takes Care of Pets" is still one of my favorite names for a character ever.
  4. The Paragon Times articles were some of my very favorite things about the early game. Thanks for working on those and making them so awesome.
  5. I'll probably take my favorite characters out for a few final spins around the city, enjoy jumping from one building to the next. I don't think I'll worry very much about getting to 50 or crafting stuff. I'll run the lower-level task forces and try to have fun with 'em.

The settings are so good. I'll go visit some of the cool locations in the city -- that garden on top of the skyscraper in Atlas Park, some of the beautiful remote areas in Talos and Perez, the Yins' store in Faultline, stuff like that.

The characters I've got who had strong ties to specific locations will go visit them again. My zombie scrapper whose family died in Astoria is going to visit the DA echo a few times, I'm sure...

    Holy cheese, that sucks.
  7. I don't know what the devs will decide, but I hope they don't opt for something that actually ends the world -- some disaster that blows up the planet and kills everyone.

I think I'd prefer -- no end at all. The sun rises on another new day just as the servers come down. The Never-Ending Battle never truly ends -- we just won't be around to watch those continuing adventures. There's always a Nemesis plot to foil, always another warehouse full of Clockwork, always a nest of Fifth Column to stop, always another relic stolen from the M.A.G.I. vault, always another mugging to stop.

It'd feel true to the comics.

And ya know what else? I'd like to see Statesman and Sister Psyche resurrected. That'd be true to the comics, too...

    My final thread.

What they said. Thank you. Thank you, thank you, thank you. This is basically the only game I've given a damn about in years. I'll miss flying over the city, I'll miss playing around in the costume creator, I'll miss busting gangsters and giant monsters in the chops. Y'all have given me so much fun and joy over the years.

Thank you, and best of luck to all of y'all.
  9. I need more images of Rularuu doing silly emotes. The more, the better, actually.

Ahh, thanks! I'd assumed you couldn't backtrack once the mission was over.

Still, I'd love to see these set pieces available for use in the Mission Architect. CoH needs more spooky set pieces.
  12. I've loved Halloween since I was a wee tyke, so I love the haunted house in the Dr. Kane trial so very, very much -- but unfortunately, every time I've gone through the trial, everyone has rocketed through much too quickly for me to take in the decor the way I wanted to.

Will the set pieces here be added to the Mission Architect at some point? It'd be great to get to explore it more slowly at some point, or even to set a few new spooky missions there...
  13. I prefer to operate on Comic Book Time. Things change, but no one ever gets older...

    it's patching

Insanely frustrated over here. My ISP konked out yesterday and told me this morning they got no plans to fix me up. So I'm trying to find a new ISP as quickly as possible.
  15. Wasn't Japanese actor Mako the voice of Lord Recluse in one of the trailers?

EDIT: Never mind, it was Roger Jackson, who was the voice of Mojo Jojo. I got the Cartoon Network voice actors mixed up.
  16. Yeah, add me to the "bored with it" group. Three events is too many to have happening at once. It's like watching superhero movies -- once you're adding three villains to the mix, you can't keep track of anything anymore.

I'd rather be able to run some proper missions with proper teams, and that's going to have to wait 'til everyone else gets their precious badges...
  17. I'm supposed to get mine today... and it's not activated yet!

    Want... treatz... soooo... bad...

She was quite disappointed to learn that "Defeat <<Boss Name>> In Dance Contest" would not be a mission creator option.

I now want this more than any other game feature.
  19. I always love hearing news about Sister Flame.

And I never get over the fact that she has a villain named "Takes Care of Pets".
  20. Awesomesauce! Thanks for posting this story, and tell Flame she's doing a great job. Sounds like she's a better player than some folks four or five times her age.
  21. My personal preference would actually be to see only one update a year. Hopefully, it would reduce the paralyzing lag and bug issues that seem to plague each new issue.

Doesn't mean I'm not still plenty anxious for the new issue...

I bumped into War Witch right away (for me, not right away for her, I'm sure). She came at me like a rocket and took me down quickly. I couldn't even hit her (aren't our to-hit calculations supposed to equalize in PvP?).

Actually, I managed to score a critical on Synapse.

    Did a point of damage.

I decided to just try to get some screenshots after that.

How about a reduction in recharge times as well?

I've got an even better idea: Why not just scrap this Enhancement Diversification idea altogether? I haven't yet heard any good reason for it...
