I wonder which one it'll be closer to. I'd assume Scrapper APPs, just due to their primary being damage.

You might want to take the Tier 2 ones as well. Going petless MM, except for the big guy is a pain, still grinding to level 12 with my no tier 1 thug MM. And the Tier 2 guys usually last a lot longer than the tier 1 cannonfodder guys.

I chose Mutagen specifically for throwing gas bombs at bad guys. Even picked the Ampules belt so that you could see all the gas bombs. -

Quote:Maybe they're trying to use reverse psychology on the devs.Nope. People have already asked for whips, both regular and fire.
And they want them for blasters.
Yes. They want a hand-held weapon (yes, a long one, but still) for the ranged attack specialist.
Then again, they wanted a projectile weapon for the melee attackers, so I suppose that I shouldn't be surprised.
To be honest, I'd ask for them as blasters anyways, just due to the ranges involved with Mastermind primary attacks. Assuming that they would base it off of what they'd done already, it makes a certain amount of sense for ranged attacks than melee. -
Yeah, the second the official video goes live, I think it'll tip straight into, "Y'know, what would be cool? Fire whips powerset for scrappers."

I'd be willing to accept always full or empty scabbards and holsters just so long as we can have them.

Quote:Could always wait until they shoot at you, if you really want a reason. That reminds me. Why is it okay for me to beat up Legitimate Businessmen on the street just because they happen to be wearing nice suits?
You might as well say the same about the Council. They are just using their right to free speech and assembly. Do the guys listening to the soapbox guys carry guns? -

Quote:Yeah, but they can accomplish the same thing in the Rogue Isles. Areas are still blocked off, it just doesn't look like it until you reach the edge.I find it functionally appealing, myself. Given the relative same-ness of urban environments, it can help a lot, especially for new players. I remember playing MxO and walking into the "bad" part of town (ie, everything was level "I keeel you") more often than I'd like to admit.

Quote:I don't have a huge issue with them, but they do seem like they're only there to establish zones and boundaries. More than anything else, it kind of mars the skyline.I don't really know how I'd feel about the war walls coming down. It would be a big enough change to get some kind of opinion out of me, of course. But I've grown fond of them, and haven't ever seen the issue that other people seem to have with them.
Take Peregrine (or the Rogue)Isle(s) for example. There's no sudden giant wall visually blocking you from the edge(though, the Rogue Isles do have walls that appear when you reach an edge), it looks more open, even though you know there's a boundary, it doesn't readily look like there is.
It's entirely an aesthetic thing to me. -
Quote:That would be nice. I wonder if they're going to just open it up entirely, say the entire north side of Kings Row is the entrance for Galaxy City or still make you find the spot where the tunnel was in order to move between zones. Seems like dropping the walls themselves and leaving some sort of tunnel or gate would be simpler to implement. The thing I found interesting, that I think people might have glanced past... when Positron asked "Can I tell them about no more war walls" and someone told him "no", I don't think he was just talking about Praetoria....
I'm thinking that there might not be an actual reason to have war walls anymore. I mean, the Rikti always get in, and if they set each area to zone you into another zone... there really would be no need for them anymore. -

Yeah, but it sounds like Kin Melee has a little range on it, so probably not as much an issue if you're playing one.

I'm expecting a medium sized arc to get you started.

For Scrappers, Tanks, Brutes, and Stalkers a new powerset called Kinetic Melee was announced. To give you a general iea think of what telekinetic melee combat would look like. The set is very visual and utilizes a ton of knockback and down effects. You'll have greater range than most melee power sets when using it. A video was also shown at the panel, though Paragon Studios will not be distributing it. Fortunately, we managed to grab some shakycam of the clip, look for that later today. -

Dinosaurs and Apes to fight. Also, ape parts in the costume creators.

Quote:Have you ever stopped a radio bank robbery with one of those in the last room?Which is hilarious when the Sky Skiffs DO appear in office maps. I've seen them in rooms that they are just plain not small enough to get through the doors of and it always throws me for a loop.
