So very much this. It'd be nice if all future trials featured a unique enemy not encountered anywhere else in the game. Something more epic and where 12 or 16 or 24 aren't required to beat down 1 or 2 main enemies.

...The Hamidon! Which one? Who cares! The Hamidon is here under Boomtown and we have to stop it from absorbing the power of the well! But in an ironic twist of fate the only person who could stop it you've already beaten up...Chimera!

...But he's escaped! Where's he gone? He's gone to find Reichsmann's holding cell underneath Boomtown! It's the only thing that can hold the power of the well! But oh no...Hamidon got to him first. So now you have to fight mutated Chimera and Hydra soldiers in the original, partially destroyed Freedom Phalanx base. (This part is the trial - it's called "Heads of Hydra".) But it's cool cause you beat them and then Chimera dies. And you manage to seal the access points to the well deep underneath Boomtown.

...but oh no Boomtown has to stay destroyed to stop people from finding the access point to the well and letting Hamidon take over our planet! SHADES OF GREY MAN! Statesman/Recluse tells you this personally so you can't argue because they're the main character. They give you "Alpha Clearance" credentials in a bid to make you feel important...and hopefully forget that you've changed absolutely nothing.

Yeah that sounds right up your street.
I don't know what you're smoking or what you're on but send me same. Damn!
  3. I really don't like the RUla-Shin or whatever gear. Pass.

I think we shall agree to disagree I don't remember too many comics where turrets downed a man character (other than the Phoenix suicide scenario but that doesn't really count).
  5. Yes but why do we need to saturate the game with one group. I am hoping we get some new groups that we see in a mission once or twice in game that seem more comic book-like. I just don't get a comic book feel from this game. Maybe it's just me but I am not as intrigued or drawn in as I am when I check out various comics. It's the same old and most of the enemies are not too interesting. Not much of a wow factor.
  6. Is it just me or are we a tad saturated with Praetorian content. It is now more than annoying to see most content include Praetorian lore. To me this just is dull and done to death. Most of the material is less than compelling. When can we have something new?! Not the umpteenth appearance of some old villain group but something new, exciting and epic. This is a superhero game! After 7.5 years you would think there'd be way more variety and epic content. Being offed by a turret in a trial is not epic! GAH! If there is a God, I pray he/she/it is watching and will help me here....help me...please...save our game....for the love of mankind...
  7. Yeah that TF is a bit of a head scratcher. Maybe I just missed something. I really don't enjoy running it. Not a fun feel to the whole thing. We get stuck with Praetorian enemies again and pretty blah environment.

Why not make something more epic. Space ships on an alien environment with wild new enemies. This TF lacks a lot of imagination. The main art asset looks like something out of Waterworld.

I've only run this when it was/is the WST.
  8. I hear these were popular a while ago. Does anyone have a more defence/damage oriented build to share?

It kinda is? We're paying $10 for a power set. Then, after we get the said pack, we have to pay more $ for the additional skins to the weapons?? Hopefully that isn't the case and the additional skins can be unlocked in game.

It's too bad nobody asked about revamping the old TFs and SFs. I am hoping that happens soooooooooooooooooooooooooon
  10. I'm not sure if there is a suggestion thread for adding things to the market so here goes (if there is, please forgive me!).

    1) Add the celestial costume set to the Market when it is removed from the vet reward system. It is some of your finest work so let us at it!

    2) Give VIPs a discount to the store. I think we should really get a bit of this (yes, on top of our monthly points).
  11. Ok did I hear this right...they want to sell Titan Weapons and then sell a pack that has additional skins to the Titan Weapons??? Really?? Tell me I'm wrong. This would make me wretch if it is true.
  12. I think I am taking that break. The really slow release of content and repetitive content is no match for the power of the Force.

I do like this game but it has become the same old, same old. Nothing too exciting or wild here. Anyway, I may use the Freemium route but that will depend on how I make out in a galaxy far, far away
  13. Just stumbled upon this at MMORPG. Not a bad deal for free

    http://www.mmorpg.com/giveaways.cfm/...h-America.html
  14. I was hoping for some new innovation to mission types. Maybe open missions or a new wrinkle or mechanic. I hope we don't get the usual zone stuff. We have a lot of that....like...a lot.

It would be nice to see some open missions. Missions that cause zone events and spawn unique giant monsters or invasions.

Despite the trial grind, I really like the trials mechanic. It is different and can be challenging. I just hope it isn't Atlas Park but at level 50+.
  15. Was there any mention/suggestion of something loin cloth-like? I know the Sybils in the ITF aren't possible but what about shorter versions that are the same length as kilt and higher cuts up the side.

You could make variations of it. Barbarian, tech, proper dress.

For a visual example of what I mean:

  16. I'd like to see the loading screens for TFs/SFs give us a short blurb on what exactly is happening in that section of the TF/SF. It beats having to try and read the mission/contact stuff as most teams just fly through content. I know you can get the info elsewhere but it may help solidify the story/theme a bit better.

OP had his version and I have mine I am glad they got melded into one. What the OP wants is a tad different than what I would suggest. Once again: HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Anyway, I am all for a message screen that pops up when you log on directing you to a survey or has some quick questions at the log in part.

I know many of the children that play this game will enter into a nerdrage if they were made to fill out something that would impact the future of this game; I know they would rather rage when things get added that 'nobody' likes. I am sure this is the same thought process that goes through the mind of people who don't bother to vote of just give up and don't even make an effort to cause any change. I am the change I want to see made
  18. [QUOTE=Forbin_Project;3988364][QUOTE=TheJazMan;3988238]Nobody is forcing them It would be a survey that would potentially impact every player. All it would be is: Hey, survey up. Take 5 mins and let us know where you want this game to go. That type of thing. If they want to then great and if not then so be it.
    Quote:

If they have to complete the survey in order to log into the game you are forcing them to do something they don't want to do, and it will drive people away from the game. If it's an option they can ignore then most of them will indeed ignore it which means the entire effort was a waste of time.

Feel free to disagree with whatever you like. The truth is the truth and it won't change just because you disagree with it.

You mean the truth as you see it??? LOL. Where on Earth did ANYONE suggest making it mandatory to take the survey??? I love it when people conveniently add 'facts' to 'support' their position! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! I indeed had a good 'haha' over this. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
  19. Honestly, not much.

I am hoping for a system that provides the said rewards as noted here. I am also hoping the mission style is far more succinct and detailed. Ideally, some new contacts giving us missions that are epic/earth shattering/save the world type stuff. No more fighting giant turrets and NO MORE GOATEE UNIVERSE....AT ALL!!!

So, have a contact and give us mini-trials, solo (or small team TFs) where we battle new, exciting enemies. Hopefully some of these enemies make me feel like I am fighting a comic book foe. Something cool looking with a unique boss. Some more global-scale missions. Original maps as often as possible.

I think it would be cool to have an option of being able to take a team into these solo missions or do it solo/1 toon TF/raid/trial.

I suggested this in the feedback forums. Why waste assets that are already there? Put them all together. It adds variety and a different look. I say bring 'em back

No, this is a horrible idea and would be a complete waste of resources and time.

Many players ignore the site for various reasons. If they are directed to a survey specific section or interface then that may alleviate many concerns (concerns like too many posts, where would I look etc).

I don't see how this would be a waste of resources. Do you think, just maybe, completing the first 3 zones in Praetoria may have been a bigger waste of time? I do. These zones are ghost towns. They were fun for a bit but many simple flaws could have been prevented. So, yeah, I have to completely disagree with your rationale.
  22. Hey David, can you tell us how often you guys will be releasing costume sets? Some are great and must have. Unfortunately, the best set is for VIPs and I really hope you guys offer it in the game store at some point (yes, the celestial pack).

Also, could you talk about the creative process a bit? How do you determine what kind of set will be worked on next? One of the biggest strengths for this game is the costume creator. Some packs have not been for me (actually, most of the packs on sale over the last couple years) and the ascension and celestial stuff is more my taste. I know everyone is different so how do you determine what set is next...

I know that there are a ton of players who don't read, don't post and dont' even know that there are forums. Some of them are new vips, too.

It would be a lot more convenient than coming here, digging through all the muck and trying to find out where to post such things.

My only concern would be that some people might skew the results by answering just haphazardly without even reading the questions.
A lot this. I have posted similar ideas before. I really think the devs are kinda out of touch with what a lot of players want.

Perhaps Going Rogue could have been a much better, all around experience if there was a window directing people to take a survey on the site.

I'm pretty amazed that so many people on this thread are opposed. If you don't want to get involved and provide input, don't complain about the product afterwards. I am quite sure many players never visit the forums or site so having an info window directing them to a survey would be a great idea.

Going Rogue may have been a better experience if we were able to vote on the content. If you go through Praetoria zones today...well...it is a ghost town. This isn't a surprise considering the mechanics of it and separating the players yet again. The art assets from GR could have been put to better use by having unique mission/tf/trial maps. Maybe some exotic maps or some really interesting places. Ah well, dare to dream

Yeah, I guess the Phalanx subscribes to the "evil wins because good is stupid" morality system...
I wonder if Malaise has the ability to shield his mind from her probes? Could that be a possibility? Or he has some form of illusion/deception in place to hide his deepest secrets.

Anyway, I liked part 3 a bit more than the rest. They are not the best missions but not bad. Some of the missions just seem kinda pointless and are in place for no real reason; it didn't feel quite that way in #3.

Furthermore, that WIR list is fairly pointless in my book. You can't trot out a highly selective list and say "look at how bad this is" without giving any sort of contrast.
    This.

Male characters die all over comics (recently Nightcrawler and Human Torch). I completely disagree with the OP.

I think the term 'WIR' is ridiculous. The idea, the name...ridiculous. It seems to be some fanboy's tainted interpretation of the facts. Nothing to see here. Move along.
