I hate rating things in order when I don't care about more than half of them at all. A 'Meh' option or a 'Please Don't' box would have been nice there too. heh.
Other than Costumes and (real not pet) Powers, the only other things I can think of would be a way to invite my other characters to SG, maybe something in the email system. Email a sg invite, the ability to promote people who are not logged in. I have many SG's that are just me, and I like it that way, but it's a real pain to get new toons added.
And I would like things named with words that actually fit what the things are. Like the new POWER ARMOR set. I would like to see more pieces in the /w skin option to have 2 (or more) colors. NO MORE PRETINTING (And remove what is there)! I want to be the one who picks what color I am, not you! And I want the color I pick to be the one that shows on on my toon, not some weird off color version of that color. When I pick my primary color, I want that to be the main color on the piece! That is what Primary means, 1st, main, most important, (...seriously! no, really, look it up). More skin tones would be nice too...
A 3rd color option (dc has 3)! A gold and Silver color option (rather than yellow or grey) in the color pallet would eliminate the need for you to tint things with bronze, gold and the like, maybe a metallic color row, gold, silvers, bronze, etc. or maybe a metallic option for every piece, since even plastic can be painted with metallic paint...
Since the only w/skin options I can think of that have 2 colors are the fire/ice ones, and they don't actually show skin, the only thing I can think of as to why you guys insisted that that those pieces had to have a gold trim rather than a 2nd color like it should have been, is that you use the skin tone as the 2nd color somehow in your programing for that. If that is the case then adding a 3rd color option would allow a 2nd one to be used for that. And if that is NOT the case, then just give us the 2nd color option on all pieces (including the "gloves" like roman/ w/o gloves and barbarian wrist bands), it's really annoying to have the arm bands and all other matching pieces be two toned and the 'gloves' only take one when they are the exact same design. (barbarian wrist match the shoulders, and the roman the with gloves bracers are two tone, and the without gloves version of them is one, when it is the exact same otherwise).
And spread the pieces around, sash for men, and so on, make more pieces avbl in more slots. I want to be able to mix and mach every piece in every combination.
I would like to see Praetoria blow up (or maybe the dimension can just implode), so we don't have to hear anything else about it, ever. It used to be one of the best arc's in the game, now (last 2 years or so) it too has been ruined... and its ruination has been spreading, infecting the rest of the game. About the only good thing out of it was the disappearing contacts, and you don't use it where it would be the most useful, like with States and Psyche-Nee-Chan. If you haven't done the arc, they should still be there, if you have, they should get the new replacements... (and don't change ppl's badges, if you want a new one fine, make a new one, but leave the ones we have alone, and fix the vet badges! they have been broken since freedumb went live).
I would like to see more mission arcs that have contacts that automatically give their number and don't talk forever and a day, and don't give out missions that require me to run around and talk to people, no kill XX missions, just straight forward, go to this instance, and either clear, beat boss or get glowie(s). When you guys try to get creative with the missions arcs, they usually are just annoying.
Oh, and more building missions, less caves. I can''t stand when there is an uneven ceiling, or other things that interfere with my camera angle or when decorations get in between me and my camera (cot caves, and the cave for the save amanda vines mish are good examples of what not to do, the new KoV Japanese style indoor maps are good example of what you should be doing). Speaking of the CoT caves, I would like a way to turn off the ambient lighting effects, like the torches, glowing crystals, and so on, they kill my eyes, and make it so I can't even look at the screen. And no more dark maps, almost all super heroes have ways to see in the dark, I mean come on, heightened senses, 3rd eye, a freaking flashlight! ...the minions in Despicable Me are walking glow sticks! My illusionist uses light based powers (can light up a room, and blind people so badly they will be stunned!), my claws regen guy (and many others) have low light eyes, can see in the dark, My robots/cyborgs have Infra Red and UV and other low light sensors... It's as dumb as giving us an oxygen bar would be considering so many of us don't need it, or we could be a fish man, or use a FF or breathing mask from our utility belt... or... the list could go on and on. Maybe design a zone that has Not been trashed, or finally fix some of the ones that were... Who would live in a city where half the towns are smoking craters? How many zones like that do we need?
Bring back the leveling pacts! (it's annoying to play my new guys because they are now all out of sync with their partners) ...and one last thing, I would like it if you fixed all these stupid "black out zones" in AP and Mercy that make it so we can not target our team mates, can't follow them, can't recall them, nothing, one of the worst ideas, ever! Right up there with the detoggles, solo-only missions with no real point, and contacts with 10 pages of text! (I know that seems ironic coming in the middle of this now wall of text, but a wall of text I don't mind, it's having to click "ok, and..., and..., and..." over and over that bothers me about it, a wall of text I can ignore, it's having to keep clicking over and over that bugs me, maybe add a 'Get to the Point!' button. Extra clicks bother me, like the patcher, you are going to verify it anyway, I have no choice, there is no reason to prompt me about it, or the trainers, 'I want to train up my level', "no really, I want to train up my level! Stop Asking and do it!" a pointless sub-menu, the other stuff should have its own option). Speaking of Trainers, what about one for the base? then we can train and change our costumes in the privacy of our base, where that sort of thing belongs. "Oh hey guys, look, I am going to design my new costume here on the street corner... change clothes in front of city hall... who needs a secret identity...?"
I would rather see broken things getting fixed, rather than more new stuff that will likely cause more problems, finish what you started before we move on to the NBT (Next Big Thing [tm]). Make what we have work, then move to the next thing. I would imagine that trying to fix something while continually introducing new things for it to interact with is pretty hard... Also hard to make things that work right when you introduce them to a broken environment.
...I know, 'nature of MMO's' and all, but can't we strive for perfection even if we never reach it? Shouldn't that be our goal? We should always strive for our ideal (unfortunately our ideals are a great, fun, working game, theirs are lots of money with little to no effort, and "the less we have to pay people to fix things the more $$ we make... just keep slapping on those band-aids..."). But when a game stops being fun, and starts to feel like a job, it's time to move on I guess, it's just hard to part with that many toons I have invested that much time into... maybe a vacation... (oh well made it 8 years on this one, that's better than any others...) Not to mention the game play in the other super hero games are terrible, unfortunately they are taking the bad things from those games and not the good.
this started off as a quick note for something i forgot, but I "uncorked the bottle" and the 'ideas' kept pouring out... My 'stopper' is broken and I don't have an IT department to work the bugs out of my head...
----
and the costume set I am waiting on is the new Banished Pantheon sets, because 'all new npc sets are to be designed with player ports in mind', and we have all wanted that skirt for many years (since Cim anyway). Other than staff, it is the thing that had me the most excited since i22 beta... and let us pick ALL of the colors involved in it~ -
Another month rolls by, no badge (they can't get the tokens right, they certainly can't get the badges based on them right either), 3 days after my account rolls over, and still no points, no token, nothing. And I have yet to hear any kind of response from then on this that makes any sense at all. They said it would be right by February, but that's obviously not the case.
...Well I CAN say with certainty that the date you created the account ALSO has nothing to do with it. My account was created on 8-6-04, but I am lucky to get my rewards before the month ends, Even the dates they told me last month did not hold true, I got the points at least by the 19th then (and my account rolled over a day later last month), and the token like 6 days after that. This is completely arbitrary, and has nothing to do with anything other than 'we will give you what we feel like, when we feel like it, if we feel like it, we don't care what you feel you are entitled to'. They also seem to think that those of us who pay with the time cards (for whatever reason) are not entitled to the same level of service.
People on this board have called me "entitled" (as if that's a bad thing!), and maybe that's true (I won't say what that makes them though), but when I pay for a service I feel I am ENTITLED to get good service, when I pay for a product I am ENTITLED to get what I was promised, a reasonable working item in a reasonable amount of time. That is what the free market is all about. And it is NOT a 'bad thing'. (It is when people stop feeling entitled to getting a good product and good service and just accept whatever they are given that it is a "bad thing"!) And when I don't get good service I am entitled to look elsewhere for that service or do without (FOOL and WoD mmos will be out before too much longer, maybe they will be good...). But because they are not producing a physical product, they feel they are entitled to not make it work correctly or on time, because they can always fix it later, if they bother at all... And instead of people buying things because they are quality products and services, they are doing so for other reasons, many due to addiction to one level or another (we comic book people are notorious collectors after all, and mmo players get attached to their toons, this coming from a 14 year vet of mmo's, almost 8 of which here, who has hundreds of characters).
Being entitled isn't always a bad thing, but accepting a lower quality service for the same if not more money, is never a good thing. We are PAYing for a service here (and some of us are paying a lot!), we Should demand GOOD service! It is because people just accept whatever they are given that companies like Blizzard can exist.
Despite what they tell us, the rich do not drive the economy, it's consumers! -
Exactly, I don't get why it is so hard, account rolls over on XX date, 'rewards' are 'given' on either that day or the day after, should be easy. But all I get from them is they give them out on some arbitrary date that has nothing to do with anything, and it still doesn't come out on those dates. It makes no sense (but then little does with them any more). If my account lapses it goes down the day before it says (if I am playable til the 15th they turn me off on the 14th), but the 'rewards' can be up to a week or two after...
an no, you guys are right, the last badge I got was for tokens 34, and I am on 46. & the old ones are no more... one more problem I hadn't even noticed really, though there was a bit of a nagging. ...but then the token system has been pretty broken since day one of this free-dumb fiasco.
well, there have been class action law suits for things like this before, there will be laws about this kind of thing one of these days.
-----edit-----
the real problem stems from the fact that they are called 'rewards' when, in fact, they really are a product we pay for. -
oh well another week goes by I won't be buying anything.
and no, I didn't anticipate any of those sets near as much, because A) most of them were not as good, B) they were put out when they were ready (when staff has been ready for months), or in some cases sooner, and C) I haven't been wanting any of those since day one, almost 8 years ago. (don't get me wrong, I love WP and use it all the time, and will on my staff guys too, but I didn't anticipate it, I didn't care about it until I used it, and fell in love with it) and frankly some of them I still regret buying (Beam Rifle I am looking at you, and as nice as DP was, it wasn't worth praetoria, thankfully that's FINALLY almost over, more than 2 years after the fact, maybe we can start getting content that isn't poisoned by it now, not that I am holding my breath).
What makes this power far more of a sore spot is that it is being held back for reasons that don't matter to anyone other than their marketing dpt. It has been ready for months when Beast Mastery is still broken, but then Demon Summoning broke the pets AI too and that never got fixed either. MM are too much of a pain to play over all any more (I picked a mm so I could do dmg and only have to worry about healing my partner, but now you have to spam the pet controls to keep them from being morons, the petless mm looks better and better as we go), pets and npcs in general are just way to stupid for words. but as usual, I digress... (made worse by the fact that most of my toons, including my beta staff toon, are in DA and on beta, that's borked right now, so I can't load them either)
Quote:too true, not to mention if you don't like one of them you can still get something you do like.I actually prefer powersets to come out in batches, so we don't see one powerset take over the server, like it did on Dual Pistol Weekend.
as far as the people wanting a punching MA set, they got that, when the power customization came out... You can make MA almost all punches now... Street Justice or street fighting as it was called at the time, I can't speak for others, but I had more of a Street Fighter Game style in mind myself, Not that I really expected that to come to light. It would be really sweet to be able to mix those two sets together like in the old days of issue 0, like the main npc's mix-and-match power sets. -
wasn't this supposed to be fixed in February? So now instead of getting them early, now I am late...
-
No Double xp for Incarnates, and no double xp for any of my toons who have a blue bar (and never can use it up in one night). Double Xp Weekend is Doubly disappointing.
I was really hoping I might have one toon be able to finish filling their incarnate bar on one play through of the arc so as at least one of my toons would be able to get more than alpha, but since I can't see myself doing the arc more than once per toon, seems that won't happen for a long time.
And since they didn't bother to put out the new classes, the only time I use up a blue bar before day of play is over, almost no benefit to this at all. Add to that the Insanely over priced Munchkin this has been one seriously disappointing week (and that's just the game, outside the game has been worse, I was really hoping for this one bright spot...). Oh well disappointment is what this game seems to be doing most often these days, with a few exceptions, like the late-to-the-party staff power.
Since the change to double xp weekend becoming never-ending blue-bar weekend I get almost no benefit. -
Quote:well anyone who thought that would be the other way around is clueless. Of course people are going to get a bundle if there is one. Would you intentionally pay more for something? The only exception to that would be the one or two sets that don't have enough pieces to make them a discount, and then you would still buy the pack because it is easier. My take on that is they mean that any individual piece doesn't sell as well as the whole set.
That is, they saw a more positive flow from people buying the whole Barbarian costume set than say people buying piecemeal stuff from it like just the leather harnesses or the crotch tribble. Which also means stand alone pieces like the fireman and pilgrim hat don't sell well either, where they might if bundled in a pack.
The Never on Sale Pilgrim Hat (would have bought it if the store had ever let me, but every time I tried it told me it didn't exist, and they never said it was on sale so i just assumed it was one of those things on there early, it showed up and vanished and changed names and came back), the fire hats and the school backpack are the only ones I can think of I ever saw for sale that were not a part of a pack. And I bought all 3 (even though I have never used the hats and probably never will, but they were cheap), maybe if they would put in a filter so that we could see only the items in the shop we do not have, then maybe it would be easier to see these things too. Or make it so the organizer will list by date released, make it have one that puts the stuff we own at the end of the list...
If it wasn't so hard to search through the individual pieces to find what you want or to tell if you own it or not they might sell a lot more too. Way to hard to navigate if you are trying to buy more than one or two things. Try to buy more than one thing that are on pages 11-15 or more, it is a PITA. -
Quote:individual pieces? what you mean the firehats? That the only one I saw, that actually came up for sale (and the school backpack! should do the fire fighter's backpack too, the graphic is already there, even for players). And I never saw them advertised, just locked in my window, and that was mostly accidental since I almost never use hats (due to not being able to pick the hair that goes with them). You mean there were others? Maybe if they advertised them a bit more they might sell better. I saw many get teased, like the pilgrim hat, later renamed tri-corner hat, and never put out. there were some chainmail pieces that never actually showed in game...They have stated that the individual costume pieces sell significantly worse than costume sets. Personally I think that has to do with the lackluster selection of individual pieces, but they are taking a different message from it.
Quote:uniformity, uniformity, uniformity.
They seem to think that just because they are points now that we will forget that we spent money on them, like tokens for an arcade, they may give you bonus ones when you buy in bulk, but you still paid for them. -
sure it's cute, and I DO like the rainbow effect when he appears, but 800? for something that useless? Maybe if it helped with ALL transactions, but it only affects drops, and the inf that drops is nothing compared to selling items, so this doesn't help in any way, shape or form, definitely not $10 worth, even with a 100% increase it's not that much more inf in my utility belt. Especially when it kills my other pets. Or if it was 10% on all transactions (like in the AH and the regular store). but no, it only affects the smallest part of our income. If I had to rely on the inf I gained from things that this affects, I would never have inf on anyone. I would have considered it if it had been cheep, but at that price, it ought to actually come with a huge pot of gold the instant you summon him, BOOM, pot o inf, Boom, pot o inf.... you people really don't get the value of a $1 at all. $10 I could eat on for days, if I am spending that much on something then I am going to get something of value out of it, this isn't it.
You guys really need to rethink this whole vanity pet thing. The way you guys have ruined them and now set them up they are completely useless and I will never spend points on any of them ever again. They are so ridiculously useless that they are actually a detriment to have out due to the way you have reworked them. And as if the timer on recasting wasn't bad enough now it doesn't happen until the pet is dead! Which makes it twice as difficult to replace every time one of the mobs I just attacked targets my buff pet instead of me. One possible way to work it is to differentiate between buff pets and vanity pets and the way the buttons work, change the buff ones back. Then you could allow one buff pet and one vanity pet out at a time and actually have some value to the one that is just for looks, or at the very least not make it have negative value. I assure you if you hadn't made those changes to the buff pets to make all of these vanity pets kill them you would be selling a lot more. I can't even bring out any of the ones I had bought (or gotten free) before that change anymore because, I NEED the end buff one, desperately, on many characters.
And seriously this is IT, one useless thing? Why are we still waiting on the power sets? Has Staff Fighting not been ready for weeks now? I have seen no change on it in all that time. You put out the Imp Dy costume long before it was ready (not that it ever will be since you guys seem to be refusing to fix the pretinting on so many of the pieces, gold? really? USELESS) but the ones that I would want early? of course not. The ones that would be useful to have early? With all this waiting you guys need to be working on a spear for the ID costume set then... =/ or a bunch of new weapons or something! It seems more like you are just waiting till you want to boost your numbers instead of when the stuff is ready. It really would have been nice if you had put out the new power sets BEFORE double xp weekend.... =( And, for the record, I won't be buying anything else on the market until they do. Saving all my points for them. And I won't be buying the Imperial Dynasty costume until you fix the /w skin option and give us what we actually asked for, the tight piece with the tinted section cut out, not this golden monstrosity. How hard could it be to cut out that one section and leave the rest of it alone? It isn't like there aren't two tone pieces in that section already, even if they don't show any 'skin' (Fire & Ice at least), so it's obviously possible, and if it were not, then wouldn't that be a better use of the tech you used to put a slightly different toned version of the one you actually picked, as opposed to one that doesn't match anything available to us on anything else? (sorry, sorry, I digress, ...as usual) But while we are on the subject shouldn't there be a gold and silver color option? as opposed to yellow and grey respectively?
I was so looking forward to today on here, I figured at least the market would bring something new to play with, like the staff I have been waiting on for years, but like FiOS canceling my favorite channel this week, my step dad going into the hospital and no one else I know even having gas money to come by for cake, including me (can't even afford to drive enough to keep my battery charged), my birthday week is going to be full of disappointments. You would think I would be used to it by now...
Murphy's Rulz! -
It's just dumb, so people misuse a word so we will copy them? Good job, copy people who don't know how to speak the language.
BUY A DICTIONARY PEOPLE!
Trowing is not flying. (it doesn't fly, flying assumes under ones own power)
Medium is not long. (Long hair goes BELOW the shoulders)
Primary is not Secondary... (Primary means MAIN! 1st! the largest part!)
Learn what the words mean before you use them in a professional setting! Misleading your customers is not a good way to get money, its a good way to get sued, and/or lose customers.
and 250 points for that?!?!?! something with no value what-so-ever? it's expensive at 40! -
Quote:I did follow it on beta but, I stopped following it, when two things happened, A) she said the /w skin option had to have a gold trim (for some unknown, illogical reason), and then B) when it came out, it had a gold trim (and that ruins the piece), For no reason other than the fact that you guys thought it was a good idea, I guess. Even though you guys know that we pretty much universally hate pre-tinted pieces, at best we try to ignore it, at worst we raise cain here. (you guys need to just break down and add a tertiary [3rd] color, dc has it, but it would work better here the way you guys do the costumes). And unless you plan to make another addition to what is on beta already, then no, you do not plan to fix it. Those pieces on beta seem to still have that gold tinted trim, and you guys seem not to be working on another 2 toned version, or that is what we were told on beta, unless that changed. If you followed the beta of this particular costume set, you know that some non pretinted options are coming. These are included in the pieces which will be automagically granted to you in the first update following the launch of I22.
Don't forget, we always put new releases up on beta for feedback and testing prior to releasing it in the Paragon Market. Please be sure to check these out if you're interested in what's coming up!
Also I am not really looking on live, only beta, since I won't spend the points on it when so few of those many pieces are usable to me even on the beta-version of the set, but looked enough to know that many pieces were still missing. Maybe I will buy them IF they ever get finished (beyond what is on beta right now), but in the meantime I will save my points for the 2 classes coming out.
I also just noticed that the splash screen for this, the logo, the title, whatever you want to call it, has a spear on it (Imperial <spear> Dynasty), I also find this in poor tastes since we asked you for a spear, you shouldn't have needed to be asked about it, considering you were putting out the staff set just before it (on beta, just after it on live), including a staff in this set should have just been a given. Taking all that into consideration, using a spear in the graphic was mildly offensive. Even more offensive than that sword not being avbl in TW. When a new costume set fits a new power set that you just put out, they really ought to work together, it would really encourage people to get them both. Not doing so smacks of either not thinking things through, or teams not working together. Either way it makes you guys look bad, and annoys us, the paying consumers.
And I wish you guys would use a dictionary, there is a reason PRIMARY is usually the main color on a piece. using the 2nd for the main color of a piece is bad, and not representative of the words Primary and Secondary, and throws off the color sets we are using for our outfits. (my other dictionary issues are for other topics, like the "flying" disk, long hair, and so on, so I will leave that out, but please double check to make sure the words you are using mean what you think they mean, Inconceivable!).
And I for one would have rather waited till the set was done before it goes live, but then I have a work ethic and like my work to be completed before it gets an official release. I'm funny that way. Showing off early is what Beta is for after all. This whole deal just stinks of being rushed, and therefor poorly done.
Oh well, I am done talking to the brick wall, I just wanted to make sure it didn't think I was talking only about live, and I had to mention the spear, that's just offensive to those of us who wanted to use it for the new staff class. That armor just screams Pole Arm! I just can't believe that you guys didn't think of that. It's a given.
...But I guess we didn't make enough puns to be heard. too bad staff wasn't out yet, even thought it does seem ready, then I could have been the failed guy, Paul Arm. Is that bad enough? How about Impaled Dynasty? or Chop Sticks?
Ah if only it had been an option when I made Stix n Stonz, could have been a stone brute... not that doms aren't fun too. -
You know for a dead guy, he and sister Psyche, are pretty active in IP, what happened to that tech that is supposed to build the world according to what you have done in the game? OOOOppps, kind of an oversight...
-
This could have been nice, but you ruined it with all the pretinting, especially when you pretinted pieces made from other pieces that were not tinted! Was such a great Idea for a set, too bad you guys never listen to us, even when you do. No One Likes PreTinted Items!
Oh well, maybe another time, even the pieces on beta are not what I would call ready.
and since you guys failed to listen to us, while claiming to be, no, I do not want this "nao", or any other time. (and as such a huge fan of Asian styles as I am, that's sad) I don't want it until you take out the gold garbage. Gold Coloring makes things tacky. -
I don't mind them existing, but $10 is crazy, for that price it should not only work at any level from any area (especially preat), and work for any and all characters you want it to.
For how useless this is there is no way I would ever spend that much on it. Whomever though that was a fair price needs their head examined. -
...and stiiiil broken.
the valentine tips are still sending characters to places they can not go, instead of to the train like we were told it would. -

For those who say you get all this great stuff even if you don't like it, it's still great stuff.
In this case, if it is something I will NEVER use, then it is worse than nothing, because not only do I find it useless, but now it is taking up space in my in-box. I don't even want to look at that box on beta anymore because it's so full of garbage I will never use. It's bad enough to start with before I ever got any of those packs, but after seeing how many it would take to get that dumb wolf pet, that box is so full I couldn't find anything in there even if I did want to try to use something. ...and $25 is way too much for a costume pack, and $700+ is way too much for a pet, especially one that isn't real, and doesn't do anything. I wouldn't pay that much for one that is real and had all it's papers and shots! Let alone for one that does nothing but kill my buff pet.
the only way I would ever even think about buying one is if it was bought with reward merits, something else I will pretty much never use.
They said they would put out another way to get that costume, so I will wait for that, the wolf I never cared about anyway, I was just being a masochist opening them until my brain and arm hurt, morbid curiosity. The rest I don't want, so won't ever buy one. -

You guys have a serious problem with using language lately, medium is not long, throwing is not flying, and present is not something you buy for yourself. -
i am going to vote for c with options like on the fish bowl we have to mod it like the others.
it should be combined into the same section so we can use both sets of mods! -
Should be several, one most of these, but most of all on this and the guns.

The blaster especially, and the Dominator as well, has a nice mix of Melee attacks, They have blended in options taken from other Melee sets, like Energy and Stone. What I was thinking is It would be nice to see ones based on Martial Arts and some of the other Melee Styles (like the up coming Staff Fighting). Mix in a chi attack or something for the ranged (or the staff could do a ranged wind, or just long ranged hit). The swords and some of the other sets could work as well.
Oh well, just putting it out there, I think they could be tweaked to work pretty well, and would be fun to play. Anyone else have any thoughts on this or something similar? -
WP obviously, or well I would have thought so, but only one person seems to have mentioned it. It is now, to me anyway, the base by which all others are compared, sad being the newest.
If we get a nice elemental type (stone, lava, crystal, etc.) staff, stone might be kewl. Kind of hard to work with without a kin partner though. -
I think they are going to the wrong beta server...

As expected, my hope would be before new years (so we have time to at least log in all of our guys before it is over), but that is also 'very doubtful' I am sure. There should be some kind of extension of this event once fixed due to this issue, since it is such a nightmare to try to log anyone in. Doesn't help that it takes so much longer to do anything on here since freedumb went live. I mean a full min (or more) to log in? really? Close to that to just log into a server... Or the bases... It's just sad. My 2 hour window of play time is down to an hour and a half of actual playing now and add to that 20-30 min to redo my trays... There is almost no point in even bothering.
This is also something that needs to have a message upon log in about this so we know we can risk it and not have to keep checking back here to see IF we can find a message that may or may not be here to find. You guys might not see it as a big deal, but as you can see, some of us consider it a completely game breaking offense, we just get the moving trays fixed and now our power trays are coming up empty. -
Quote:That's pretty much where I am at. I don't even want to risk day jobbing. Which means most of my characters are not going to be able to get this year's log in badge.Count me among those really really hoping for a fix before the event is over. I have macros on some toons I *really* wouldn't want to try to duplicate as well as power trays full to bursting on two accounts and 75+ toons. Sure, about... 5% of those toons redoing a power tray is no biggie, the others? It's a BIG DEAL if they lose macros or I have to redo their trays. I haven't logged in since the event started and this bug was found as a result because I'm unwilling to risk my trays full of buttons on nearly every toon.
Please tell me there is a fix in the works for release before the end of the event? If not, I guess I'll have to just cope and log in my main and only my main for the first event since I started in issue 2 and not aim for the temps and/or badges or anything else that might be new this year. That idea really doesn't appeal to me though.
Some kind of response would be nice. Is there even going to be an attempt to fix this? or are you just going to wait until the event is over? The way most things have been going lately I expect the latter (since most are probably on vacation or something, I don't even know what that is anymore). I have already deleted some characters because it was easier than trying to fix them, and have others that I will probably just never play again because I don't want to take the 20-30 min to reset them all back up again.
Pretty messed up to have a bug that makes people scared to log in and treat it like it is no big deal. All I know it the log in badge ought to be extended to everyone, or at lest extended to anyone who logs in for so long after this is fixed! So many game breaking bugs going live these days, it's just sad. The way my luck goes these days this is going to be another one of those bugs that just persists forever, like the AOE Heal Root bug, or the mish/base bug. -
This makes me not want to play. I have hundreds of characters, many with 7-9 full or close to full trays. I can't believe this is being treated as if it is 'no big deal' when you are like me, and tend to play about two hours a day, and then it takes at least 20 min just to reset up my lowest level toons... I don't even want to risk one of my higher level ones. & macros are not even as easy as the pita dragging all of the powers back into the tray and trying to remember where they all go. As if having to find and move my insp tray every time I zoned wasn't bad enough, this is is just disgusting. Makes me wish I hadn't just bought time cards. I just can't get over the loss in QC, that just reeks of 'rushing things out the door' to turn a quick buck. "Who cares if it works, just make it shiny!"
