I got by fine with Snap Shot and Aimed Shot slotted for recharge and damage for quite some time. With some recharge enhancements in them your almost always firing arrows. Although I'd probably take Blazing Arrow for extra damage.

Entropy Shield is very good from EA. It resists sleep, knockback and enemy teleports.

Thanks all, but can anyone post their opinion on the cons and pros with being an corruptor?
[/ QUOTE ]
I actually can't say I noticed any cons myself with playing a Corruptor, bar the obvious that your not a tank too. I find them very well rounded. Decent damage, decent debuffs or buffs, interesting powersets. Only thing that I actually find a con when looking at Corruptors is that their Energy Blast primary is not red -

It doesnt really matter but I hated EA as secondary. Not that great resistence and the shields you get weren't very good
[/ QUOTE ]
EA is perhaps the weakest of the Stalker secondaries, but I find the shields good once slotted with a few damage resists. If people choose EA hoping that it's going to turn them into a INV scrapper then they are going to be disapointed, but judging their protection against your standard health or protection without them on and they make a remarkable differance.
I've taken on some bosses with EA that other Stalkers would probably think twice about going up against, because I know even if he hits me with his best attack right off the bat, then with my shields up I'm most likely going to survive. -

So, what have we learned kids?
On the technicality of it all, yes, you're right. Duels are at risk in PVP. Badge hunting in PVP is at risk, and yes, you're right, it's free for all PVP goody ness.
Yes um. Technically.
Instead of spouting the rules over and over, just remember that sometimes it's good to respect other players. I've asked other players if they're AFK, stopping myself just after a Build-Up and ready to attack.
From a hero standpoint - should you really be so ruthless? From a villian sideview - aren't you being cowardly? Duels in PVP zones are in the moment things, I don't mind others jumping in if they aren't aware, but not intentionally.
Showing respect to other players and 'manners' (wouldn't call it that really - it's still resulting in fights) isn't wrong.
[/ QUOTE ]
Personally it depends on the afk player. If it is someone who was shouting their mouth off but five minutes ago (and let's not forget how likely that is), then I will kill him because if he doesn't show manners to others then why should others show him any.
I won't stay out of duels if someone can't be bothered to do more than bash the keyboard ending in something to the effect of '1 on 1!'. If someone can't be bothered to humour me then I can't be bothered to humour them. I was under the impression that if you have no power over someone and want something from them, then it's in your best interest to treat them well. I'm not looking for a speech, something as simple as, 'Please don't attack, we would like to duel' without the lacing of non compliance equaling barrages of abuse, works fine for me.
Although I believe that anything goes (other than griefing) in pvp, I do agree with Frazzle too. However I just don't think a lot of people who pvp deserve anything other than their head placed firmly up their rear. -

Hmm I've only just re-subscribed and picked ninja blade. Have I made a mistake?
I also too EA secondary.
I'm lev 13 and seem to be doing ok so far..

Nothing wrong with Ninja Blade, from what I hear anyway, never been a swordsman myself.
As for EA it's (in my view) one the less interesting Stalker secondaries, but it makes up for it by watching your back nicely, with good resists against a fair few damage types, as well as having Entropy Shield which stops sleep, knockback and enemy teleportation. Energy Drain is also a very nice power giving you end and taking away from your enemies provided your enemies are in the power's range. If you plan on pvping Repulse is also a nice power, as if slotted with accuracy or whatnot it should interupt other Stalker's AS. It's also quite a pretty powerset.
I took it for concept reasons, but ended up liking it a lot. My job is to concentrate on stalking, EA let's me do that without constantly tapping my shoulder. -
I'm created a AR character recently and am finding it most fun. Personally I think it's a more interesting powerset, and I enjoy the tactics involved with it.
I still want a Tommy gun though -
It's also possible to perform 'drivebys' if you have SS, simply jumping at the last moment while moving, but staying within head height of your enemy. Your accuracy may be reduced by 50%, but I've taken down people who I would 'never' be able to take down otherwise. Surprizingly effective if you Build up first and are then hitting for critial from hide.

Hide is a low endurance eater.

Hide costs the same as the other 3 SR toggles (according to the hero builder)

Opps was thinking of my toggles. -

spent alot of time in both, sirens broadcast is incredibly whine'y ( might have something to do with claire voyant)
IMO warburg is the better pvp zone, purely because we have more skills and theres less whinning there..
[/ QUOTE ]
It's a case of less people, less whinning methink's. -
Filth's right that as a Stalker you need Stamina in pvp less, but to be honest I found it a pain without it even with Energy Drain from my secondary, Energy Aura. I'm a pretty patient pvper and Stalker, but I found it just a pain to have to rest all the time, or jump into a dangerous position in order to Energy Drain some end back.

[ QUOTE ]
Sadly yes. The one that springs to mind is someone calling me a cheater for using inspirations...possibly the dumbest thing I've heard in a PvP zone.
[/ QUOTE ]
Yes I've had the same pretty much. If it's between dying and taking a Respite that is sitting in my tray, what does my enemy really think I'm going to do
CoX for a large part is an advanced game of rock, paper, scissor's. If I've got something, inspiration or not, that will help me in either staying alive, or defeating my enemy, I am going to use it, because that is the object of the game. Once the game come's to the point where everyone is moaning and no one is fighting at all, then the object of the game has changed and I will adjust accordingly and not use inspiration's, but just moan at the moaner's.
Unless your breaking the rule's that you sign to when you log into the game, anything goes. People who say what is right and wrong in order to suit them at any given time, will only prompt me to buy an entire tray of Enrages and hit them repeatly forever. -
I recently respected out Stamina for slotted Energy Drain and Conserve Power. I found it a royal pain though because Conserve Power's recharge even fully slotted is so slow you can't put it into the not having Stamina argument. Fully slotted Energy Drain can replace Stamina but I found it a royal pain having to spend so much time managing my endurance with it. I will definately take Stamina again and add Energy Drain in later, as it is a very useful power not just for your own end but taking away from your enemies, but just not one that personally I consider a replacement for slotted Stamina.

That stalkers are like the spies from stratego they can only win if they hit first.
[/ QUOTE ]
You could say the same of two Controller's fighting; whoever get's the first hold win's..it's not quite that simple though. There's nothing stopping a Stalker Placating and ASing back after he's been hit either. -
I like night's like in the orginal post; lot's of people just getting down to it. Can't say I've noticed much less whining in Warburg though.
