  1. Dear Guardian Villains:

Please join me on Saturday, May 30th at 6 pm PST for the Virgil Tarikoss Strike Force. This strike force is for characters levels 15+ (15-20 for experience), takes 4 players to start, and awards merits and a badge. I have run this strike force many times before and would anticipate it taking between 1 and 1.5 hours, but budget 2 just in case something goes very wrong, or it case it turns out to be a lowbie team. You can read more about the strike force here.

Lower level characters should expect to lackey up for the duration (depending on availability of course).

If you're interested in coming along, please sign up in subsequent posts and indicate the local name, AT, and level of the character you will be bringing. We will be departing at 6 pm, so don't be late.

Come for the company, stay for the Trap of the Hunter!

    Hugs and kisses,

    Sins and Needles

    Pepsiman out

Starbucks tastes burnt to me, too. I like my coffee mild and with milk. As for the sizes, on those occassions I do get something from Starbucks, I just ask for "Medium, please" and haven't had a problem yet.
  4. The first strike force I ran was the Cap Strike Force. I didn't know anyone on the server. I had never run a strike force. So I went to the wiki and read up on it, came up with a plan, figured out when I wanted to run it, and posted all of that information on the boards. People signed up anyway, because I was willing to lead, had a plan, and was upfront up not having run it before.

I did that for every strike force thereafter. Now, I am a strike force machine.

I understand not wanting to lead a team, especially if you've never done it before. I just have such a positive experience doing so, feeling empowered to do what I wanted whenever I wanted, meeting so many swell people and thus gaining a group to run impromtu SFs with, and establishing myself within the community, well, I can't help but want to recommend it as an option to others.

(Plus, posting that here won't result in Manoa poisoning my coffee the way "Well, roll an alt and come run with me on Infinity!" might. )

    Pepsiman out

I mail order my coffee from here.
  6. Hey, I don't have to worry. He stole my eyeballs threads and threads ago.
  7. I've had great success planning strike forces and such on the boards. Just set a date and time, and take sign-ups.

Maybe you could pitch the SF as a good Saturday Matinee idea, too.
  8. At least he's not going commando.

    so anyway

You should be able to expand the number of power trays you have open, and resize them, too, and move powers around in the trays or remove them all together. When you first look at your power tray, try clicking the up arrow. That will open a second, and then a third. There are nine altogether. You can also move where the trays are, if they're horizontal or vertical, stuff like that. Should be something in the "Customizing the Game" section of the Player Guides. I'll poke around tomorrow and see if I can dig up the guide for you, if you haven't figured it out by then.

    so anyway

Siolfir is much more in-tune with the mechanics and rules and numbers of the game than I am. I, however, make better cheesecake.
  11. Textilian

    so anyway

You should be able to change all keybinds and where the power buttons are in game, and set up macros. The buttons are click-and-drag, there's a section on macros in user guides, and keybinds are under user options. If you're talking about outside software or mods, those aren't allowed in this game.
  12. Textilian

    so anyway

Welcome to the game and to Infinity. Stickied near the top of the Infinity forum should be a list of Super Groups on Infinity. You can puruse it to find groups which interest you. Nothing wrong with posting that you're looking for a group, either, but this way you can get some background, too.

Now that you're here and welcomed, would you mind sending some coffee? Just pour it into the Universal Speed Boost port there... thanks.
  13. For 48 hours, you can edit a post. So when you mess up a post, you can fix it rather than reply to make corrections. You can even turn off the "show edited" function, so it looks like you never made a mistake.

    Edit: See?

Oompa loompa doopitidy dee, I made an edit how clever of me...
  14. Dear Infinity Villains:

Please join me for the second Tree of Thorns respec trial, levels 34-43 for experience, 34+ to join. Depending on my schedule, we may encore with the third Tree of Thorns for levels 44-50. On the last mission, we will steamroll to the tree room, rather than stealth. This activity takes four people to start and awards a badge and merits or a charecter respecification. You can read more about it here.

As always, sign up in subsequent posts and indicate the local name, AT, and level of what you are bringing. If you are the bottom level of the range, expect to take a lackey for the duration.

Come for the company, stay for the Trap of the Hunter!

    Hugs and kisses,

    Sins and Needles

That's pretty close by and looks pretty neat. I think I'll go.

Vit!!!!! I'd rather be in Portand, Oregon. I've missed you... now I know you are galavanting around New England, I'm relieved.

I, for one, would like to live in Powell's Bookshop. In a secret Victorian-esc apartment hidden within the shop. I would come out at night and roam the shelves and read books.
  17. You fool! Once he knows your global, he sends you tells like "*kiss*" and then you get virtual cooties, which is like a virus, but more gross.
  18. I like the original suggestion. It just seems to work. It seems more thematic than Pocket D does to me. I like the notion of people being able to go from the zones to the arena, no interuption.

Text - Just the mere thought of you should get me through the night. But Siol said she will do her best to keep my spirit up, when needed.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Suuuuure she did. Of course, it doesn't suprise me you'd have trouble keeping it up, being so cold and all.

  20. I have supported e-mail filters, disabling, and 'delete all' every time the subject has come up before and I continue to support those notions.

I'm planning on being there this friday, and each friday after that.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Me too! Except for the 'this Friday' thing.
  22. I'd have to disagree with this suggestion. Yes, the broadcasts can get annoying. Sometimes, I turn off broadcast. But sometimes I'm running, say, a tour of story driven arcs and I use broadcast to advertise the fact. Maybe there are people in other parts of the zone who'd be interested in seeing some stories. Why shouldn't I be able to use broadcast from where I'm at and departing from?

Regarding which channel to use to look for teams, well, I've seen snark go both ways on Request v. Broadcast.
  23. If we're speaking of general improvements to the team search function, I'll support an improved search function every time, including "Looking for Member," ability to hide a team, to see who's a team leader, to seeing enemy factions in co-op zones, to any other reasonable suggestion.
