Sorry Samuel, that doesn't do what they were asking for.

They were asking about loading different keybinds for different characters, not creating a new default bind file to apply the same settings to all new characters.

I never said PVP'ers were the problem.

It's people (in general) that abuse the rules that keep us from having nice things.

The OCR team at the time relaxed some of the rules in a particular forum section and some of the people that regularly posted there (who were also regular posters elsewhere on the forums) started trying to post everywhere else using those relaxed rules.

The same has happened in the Server forums at times where they've generally had more relaxed rules. People started pushing the relaxed rules too far and they had to lock things back down.

Comic culture used to have some leeway in the rules, but people kept pushing far outside the boundaries of what was allowed and we got a really strict crackdown and a tightening of what was and wasn't allowed.

It's not just PVP'ers. It's people in general. If the rules are relaxed a bit in a specific area, people try to push the boundaries even farther or start trying to apply those relaxed rules to the rest of the forums.

This is why we can't have nice things.

    The Blue Room

I've been in the room several times over the past few years and had one character that was logged out in that room for quite a while.

When the discussions came up again recently, I started trying to get back in but was unsuccessful. I'd wind up logging back in inside one of the Portal Corp buildings when logging out at the buried door on Monkey Island.
  4. I haven't seen the Statesman's star T-Shirt sold in the online NCSoft store in a really long time. I can't remember now if I got mine as part of a schwag kit from one of the events I attended or if I bought it at the Wentworth's store at one of the HeroCon events.

I don't know if they'll have any of the merchandise for sale at the Freedom Player Summit or not since they haven't said anything about it. It would be really nice if they did have a Wentworth's store this year and let us know about it now. It would also be nice to know what would be available for purchase such as the glasses, pins, shirts, etc that they had at previous HeroCon events.

You may want to PM someone on the OCR team to ask about it and if they are going to have the store ask someone to pick up the items from you if you can't go.
  5. Another possiblity would be to use the /option_set command.

I don't know exactly how it should be configured, but I think one of the following will work:

    /option_set DisableDrag Enabled

    or

    /option_set DisableDrag 1

to enable locking the powers in the trays.

Then, to unlock them it should be either of these two:

    /option_set DisableDrag Disabled

    or

    /option_set DisableDrag 0

You may be able to tell what the structure needed is by typing

    /option_set DisableDrag

with no additional parameters. You will likely get an error message but it may give a clue as to whether the parameter is a numeric value (1 or 0) or a string value (Enabled or Disabled).

Again, these should be able to be bound to a key or put in a macro to make it easy to do. The benefit of this method would be that it is only affecting the locking of the trays and not all of the options.

EDIT: Since it is listed as being bugged currently and causing a client crash I wouldn't recommend using /option_toggle DisableDrag

EDIT Part Deux: Seeing Shadow State's post below let's me know that the 1 and 0 are the correct parameters to use.

    Correct. From the initial post:

Like our previous enhancement offerings, these Rare IOs cannot be boosted, are account bound and attuned and they will level with you, within their level ranges. We're going to be watching these items closely as they represent another convenience vs. time offering and we're interested in their reception. We'll let you know about pricing tomorrow, however this initial offering will be at 50% off of their normal price, both individually for those of you who like to mix and match for your builds and as a bundled set.

    See the bolded part.
  7. You can likely do this using slash commands, specifically the various OPTION commands.

    For Example:

Set the options to have the trays locked and then enter the following:

    /option_save_file locked.txt

Then change the options to have the trays unlocked and enter the following:

    /option_save_file unlocked.txt

Then, when you want to lock the trays use the following:

    /option_load_file locked.txt

When you want them unlocked use the following:

    /option_load_file unlocked.txt

You should be able to create a macro or bind for each of those option load commands so that you can easily switch the state of the trays.

Just remember, if you change any other options, you'll likely want to redo the first two commands so that the files will have the new settings.

There would be no way in hell that a level 17 would have been able to play level 50 content like it can today. I think the game broke when Super Sidekicking came into play.
Back in the old days, before Super Sidekicking, the level 17 player would have been sidekicked to a member of the team. That member could have been a level 50 that either was or was not the mission holder. If they were sidekicked to a level 50, they would have been fighting as a combat level 49 character using their security level 17 powers.

Using the Super Sidekicking system, that same level 17 player is sidekicked to team leader if no mission is set or to the mission holder. If it is a level 50 mission, they are fighting as a combat level 49 character using their security level 17 powers.

Exactly the same result. The players are sidekicked to the same combat level but still only have access to the same security level powers.

Super Sidekicking simply removed the need to have enough Mentor's of the proper level for each Sidekick. Well, it also removed the bridging method of using a slightly lower level character to act as the Mentor in order to maximize the lowbie's XP gain.
  9. You can politely ask that the issue be escalated to a Senior GM.

I've not heard of them denying that request if it is done politely.
  10. Chuck has had the large CoV display in the Buy More since early in the series.

I may be mistaken but I think there is also something CoH/CoV related in Chuck's apartment or Morgan's apartment in earlier seasons.

Or I must claim all of the pack on only one character.
Since it is sold as a bundle, I think the entire Kit is what is claimed by one character.
  12. Since it was posted a few hours ago as to what will be in tomorrow's release, I guess you have your answer.

Of course, each person's opinion of the weekly releases can be different depending on what they are looking for.

I know of some new players that enjoyed what they got from the Survival Kit since it was items they weren't high enough to have earned through missions yet.
  13. The Mobility 4200 is a rather poor performing video card for gaming.

The drivers that are installed are over a year and a half old.

I'd recommend upgrading to the 11.9 Mobility Drivers.

Of course, proper uninstallation, driver cleaning and then new driver installation procedures should always be followed.

Not according to the forum rules and the moderators.

  15. /bind_save_file filename

    /bind_load_file filename

filename is in the format of filename.txt

Replace the word filename with a name you can remember for each character. It isn't set to load automatically with the characters but you can easily load the file each time you use the character.

I have a few using binds to load the file. It can probably be done with macros as well.

  17. Character Items and Account Items aren't deleted.
  18. The patch to fix this has just been posted to the Training Room. If you are experiencing this issue, especially those that can't seem to get rid of it permanently, please update your Test client and see if it's resolved.

If you don't test it and they push the patch live without it actually fixing the problem then the time has been wasted.

If the failure was endemic within the FBSA, it would be most likely be present in all branches, not just MAGI.

EDIT: For example, if your claim were true, it would also be true that because Person A is a complete moron with no social skills and a boorish personality then Person A's parents also share those same traits.

The Falcons defense did their job. They kept the Colts offense from scoring.

The Falcons offense on the other hand fell down on the job and allowed the Colts defense to score on a Pick 6.

That would be the short one. Leonard Hofstadter portrayed by Johnny Galecki.

He's the one that was pancaking Haley Cuoco's character as well as having pancaked Sara Gilbert's character (again, he'd already pancaked her on Roseanne) and Aarti Mann's character.

Thinking it was just a hiccup. Went to registrar and tried to recreate the SG... name not available. Still shows up in SG roster at Registrar.
Did your friend actually quit the SG before they quit the game? Before the launch of Freedom, when people stopped subscribing (quit the game) they were still members of any SG they had been in before they quit, they just weren't active accounts. I don't remember if is shows the names of inactive characters on the SG roster if they unsubscribed. It's possible your friend was still a member of the SG, which is why it would still be coalitioned and the name unavailable at the Registrar.

It's also possible that if your friend did quite the SG before quitting the game that the coalition is what was keeping the name unavailable and in coalition.

Were it me, if I were looking to leave an SG as the last member I'd make sure to break any coalitions first and make sure that all prior members were kicked from the SG before quitting it.

Of course, I don't have to worry about that anymore on the hero side. Solo SG with all my heroes in it. I seldom log in my villain that's in a VG so I don't pay attention to what's going on in the VG on the red side. I'll likely be dropping that VG anyway since I can't get to the things I put in storage anymore.
