Update: got the errant desk out from whence it hid, and decided to put a small hangar unter the entry.

Finished laying the groundwork of the upper level for the workshop, needed stairs of course, but since the whole room is supposed to have a council-map indirect lighting feel, i opted to use single 'off' lamps, for stacker's light stairs.

I don't rightly know as yet, what i'll actually be putting in the workshop, and am already planning to revamp our Base's CIC (a deathrap room, which i cobbled together right after i13 hit)

images below, a few more on photobucket.

@Bashful Banshee: getting the anles on those vault doors just right is a PITA, heh

So i ran into a problem whilst working on my workshop...one of the white desks i'm using managed to get away and place itself at 'the nearest valid location', which just so happened to be the wall of my entry, from which it now sticks out like a sore thumb...

anyway, while i'm off to fix this, here's where i am with my workshop, also some images of the storage vault i'm building for my 'Theatre Macabre' SG on the Infinity server

Thanks for all the kind words

I managed to finish the entry late last night/early this morning, haven't taken screenies of it yet, though i will at some point, today.

after the entry, i moved on to the first of many workshops...

still much to do, here, heh

also, i didn't fiddle with the size of the pics this time...hope they aren't too big

    Progress Logs

well, the second level is done...

on to the lower level, and then the rest of the base...

@ stacker: heh...yeah, watching your video made those stairs possible ;p
  5. TeutonicRogue

    Progress Logs

Well, i've been lurking long enough ;p

...after deciding to redo the entry on my main Base, i figured it would be a good idea to post pics as i go about and completely revamp my various Bases; as on the one hand, constructive criticism will help me go from a mere dabbler to an actual Base Builder, and on the other hand, since pretty much everything i know about base building and stacking/floating i learned on these forums, it's a way to give back to the community.

That said, here's the beginning stages of the entry into the 'Blackwidows' SG on Infinity.

edit: got screenies 2 and 3 mixed up...oh well
  6. TeutonicRogue

    Diviner Maros

yeah...that's how i eventually obtained him last night. Broker wouldn't give me any new contacts -which, after reading your post makes sense, as i had all the other 20-24 contacts unlocked already- so i said frak it, and just levelled to 26...

at which point Crash was back in my active contacts list, to introduce me
  7. TeutonicRogue

    Diviner Maros

    cool, thanks

guess i'll run a few paper missions then, still need to unlock Doc Buzzsaw, anyway.
  8. TeutonicRogue

    Diviner Maros

So...i screwed up...I had taken great care to disable xp every now and then, so as not to outlevel certain contacts (want them all, with a full bar), but i wasn't paying attention when running Crash Cage's arc....dinged 25 after killing Silver Mantis and now she wont give me her second arc or even introduce me to Diviner Maros (who's 25-29).

Is he obtainable via a broker at all?
  9. Here you go...and honestly, i wasn't thinking about the cost (not because i'm rich, mind you), i was just messing with mids, seeing if i could whip up decent stalker

You'll note that specific AT's and powersets aren't listed. That's because I believe that nearly ANY combination of such played by competent players can accomplish nearly anything the game throws at them. "Master of" task forces might be an exception -- I have a hard time imagining a group with enough patience for an all Stalker group to get through that, but it might be possible.
hmmm...you just gave me an idea for an all stalker MoRSF
  12. Like it says in the title... i just threw together my first Stalker build on mids; too much? just good enough, or 'meh'?

  13. I can't comment on /TA for controllers, as i've never tried it.

I put the TA/A defender in the same category as a Grav/Kin troller (meaning: both are powerful in the right hands, pure suckage when played by me )

But...i really enjoy my Archery/Fire/Fire blaster, she's a blast to play -pardon the pun- just shy of lvl 44, amazing solo, great on smallish teams and a quasi-perma crashless 'nuke' is usefull for those rare times i join a steamrolling team. ymmv, of course
  14. oooh! i have a plethora of 'can't make yet' concepts...

Blasters: Dark Blast/Dark Manip.; Sonic/Sonic Manip.

    Controllers: Dark/Dark; Illu/Dark; Grav/Dark(like Atsegine)

    Defenders: Dark/Fire

    Scrappers: Dark/Nin; SS/Nin; EM/Nin

    Tankers: Shield/BS

    Brutes: BS/Shield; Dark/Ice; MA/Stone

    Corruptors: Psi/Pain; Psi/Dark

    Dominators: Dark/Psi; Dark/Ice

    ...just to name a few
  15. i've only done this arc a few times, and that was some time ago....

however, i seem to recall Ohanko always being at the bottom of that huge reactor core room.

getting to him isn't all that hard, one can bypass all the mobs on the way down...it's just that he suffers from 'fusionette-syndrome' and aggros everyone and their grandma, on the way up

    Here's a viability question...

with Defenders getting /AR, I've been toying with a Secret Operative concept. My thought was TA/AR.

I have little to no experience with either powerset, so i don't know if this will be a viable combination in a solo/duo/small team scenario.

    insights? opinions?
  24. Hi,

while dabbling with a build for a friend, i stumbled upon something that makes me wonder...

the PvP IO sets 'shield wall' and 'gladiator's armor' give a 2.50% recovery bonus, 'Impervium armor' which i was originally looking at, gives 2.5% recovery (as do some other sets i'm considering for the build)

my question is, is that one little zero enough to get around the rule of five, or am i missing something?

see, i had considered that, as well, but since she'll be taking the energy mastery APP anyway, FA seemed logical.

thanks for all the replies so far
