Hrm. I'm completely unfamiliar with this game, though it reminds me somewhat of the old Star Wars vector graphics arcade game.

I didn't like the first three X movies and I haven't seen First Class yet. One thing that I particularly disliked was how they emphasized the annoying whininess of Rogue but took away everything that made the character tolerable. And I hated the outfits. And Nightcrawler didn't look right. And I hate it whenever someone perpetuates the idiotic notion that Juggernaut is a mutant.

Quote:People around here may not believe it of me, but I do the same thing - and when I finish up with cashiers and such I tend to beat them to the punch on the "have a great day/weekend". And I generally remain polite and patient even when mistakes are made or things are taking longer than they should. Although I've never noticed any of them being amazed by it. However, I do increasingly receive odd looks from people for saying "bless you" or "Gesundheit" when they sneeze. The one that never ceases to amaze me is the response I get from servers when I say "please" and "thank you". I sometimes wonder if my friends and I are the only ones who do that. No joke - they have stopped what they're doing and just stared at me, then blurted out, "I don't think I've ever had someone say 'please' to me before!"
Around friends and acquaintances, though, I tend to be a bit more of a glibly sardonic smart-aleck. -

Quote:Indeed. Paragon Studios didn't do it behind our back - they directly laughed at us (and with us), and we reciprocated and a good time was had by most.My two cents to this discussion: I never had the sense that either Paragon Studios or NCSoft was laughing at us behind their collective back.
NCSoft likely didn't even give us enough consideration to waste a chuckle at our expense. We're largely beneath their notice. -

And then we'd get official D&D stats for Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, and the rest... for the new "Magic Kingdom" setting, of course.

If Superman wasn't in suspended animation during the trip, but rather using some sort of FTL method of travel, then depending on how old he is in the New 52 he might be able to watch Krypton explode and be unable to do anything about it.

Quote:I found DCUO's combo system to be kludgy and its power setup to be unbearable. My advice: stick with what you like best.I tried to give CO another chance...
Maybe it was a buggy day but... Really? Server was not responding every minute, the combat cant get any more clunky (tried mouse and xbox pad), camera is a mess...
Maybe I need some assistance with settings, and used to play CO a lot in the past and I remember it was better...
But compared with DCUO smoothness and server stability, fluid animations and fun combo and power systems... CO is a joke.
I want to like CO because the awesome free power system and the crazy customization but Cryptic make it hard for me to do it. Its too damn clunky and buggy
Any advice? -

I'd like to see Disney do a Young Jedi Knights series, personally...
-
And I'm starting to think that that isn't Jason Blood, but rather is Lord Andrew Bennett...

LotRO certainly offers a well-crafted environment. It's worth checking out if one isn't turned off by fantasy in general. But as much as I wanted to love the game and stick with it, I found it to be tediously paced. There was much I wanted to explore but never got around to due to the inexorable grind. And the crafting systems were overly involved and terribly dull. Beautiful game, though.

I started a pet-based character in ChO called "Heavy Petting". But it was going to take too long to become comfortably viable, so I had to delete it.

I liked Howard the Duck. Of course, I also like Dolemite movies.

A "life time" warranty might conceivably be for the expected life time of the product rather than the user.
-
And the gal in the pink bodysuit on the right *might* be Black Orchid...
-
In the first pic, one of the characters (take a guess which one) appears to be DC's Frankenstein.

I'd certainly be interested in such a movie. Especially with Del Toro on it.

Every source of dependency that lies beyond one's control is a sword of Damocles hanging over one's entertainment.

Quote:In my experience, similar situations exist with various non-digital items that are leased. Lease agreements tend to heavily favour the lessor and limit the rights of/penalize the lessee.Jesus christ you make it sound like making game developers have offline servers would be the end of online video games as we know it, hyperbole much?
Sorry but selling something to someone one day then taking it away the next cause it's digital and your EULA BS said you could should be criminal and I hope one day it is.
Mind you, I've wished for offline versions of many an online only game. In most cases playing offline or only playing online with a handful of my RL friends would be my preference.
