The Freedom Phalanx HQ is clearly in the Moon zone that we'll never get.

Scheduled weekly maintenance is twice weekly. 9 am to 11 am Eastern US time, Monday and Friday.

Is it, now? It used to be scheduled daily. -
There's a daily maintenance scheduled from 9AM to 11AM EDT. They don't always use it, but it's scheduled.

I've not personally experienced this bug. I had assumed it was an issue with the Mac version, given when I started noticing people complaining about it and how rarely even *that* has occurred.

I wish they'd at least update the Metallic skin. The lines in it are horribly plagued by jagginess, and it's not properly shiny.

If you're wondering why my avatar is MIA, the site I used to host it at no longer allows direct linking and the free image hosting site someone suggested worked for a bit but then vanished.

But i see your avatar right there.

It randomly doesn't load. Quite irritating. But I've been meaning to change my sig... -
My concepts sometimes get kicked in the tenders well before the APPs (which I've skipped altogether in favour of other power picks a couple of times). The worst casualty was my immortal mystical kung fu scrapper. Setting aside the fact that he took Regen for the ability to have a sort of passive inexhaustibility which was appropriate to his immortality, only to have the set changed into something necessarily more active...
He picked up Whirlwind because when he saw it the spinning animation stuck the characters arms straight out in a sort of awesome spinning lariat. Of course, by that time the animation had been changed so the character's arms hung limply and uninterestingly at their side.
He was also planning on taking Phase Shift for his Astral Form, but of course that power got fragged into uselessness for that purpose.
And never mind the fact that to get two powers for concept he had to take four other powers that he didn't need. It's probably best they no longer fit, anyway, since he no longer has as many power picks available due to needing more annoying Regen clicks to be viable. I'd reroll him as a Willpower, which is now more appropriate to his concept, but I just can't bring myself to go through those 36 levels again.
So, yeah, sometimes stuff happens and concepts change or fall apart altogether. -

How did you mis-spell "bittersweet awesomeness" in order to get it censored? And now I want some grapefruit juice. Or Fresca... -
I've wanted this set since Robot MMs myself. I always thought it should have something a bit unique in it - a targetted toggle attack. You'd select the target and toggle it on, and you'd fire a steady beam at the target while the toggle was on, doing a hefty DoT. It'd be one of those toggles that automatically shut off after a certain amount of time. And if it were really cool, it would set up a narrow cone between you and the target (and potentially a certain distance past the target) and make attacks against any enemies within that area when it ticked damage.

No, the solution to your imaginary problem is the one that everyone has been repeating over and over in your suggestion thread.
PLAY ON ANOTHER SERVER
Problem solved. You are welcome.
[/ QUOTE ]
That idea sounds like it'd work great for all the people who have all their characters on one server. They could spend the whole exp event making new characters on a new server that they won't want to come back to until next exp event.
I think it'd be fun if everyone was just locked out of their primary server every exp event. That way, everyone can scramble around in the nonsense trying to figure out what server to play on. And having to make new characters (or spend money on transfers). And ending up only being able to make insubstantial progress during the event because they're unable to play their main characters.
I also think it's a great idea to expect people who play on a server that works 99.99% of the time, except during high-volume events, to just abandon that server during events -- the times when most people would actually be wanting to play their characters most.
I'm glad you solved this problem for everyone.
[/ QUOTE ]
My sarcasm meter just exploded in what I'm sure was a completely unrelated event, and thus I'm unable to tell if that post was sarcasm or not. -
[ QUOTE ]
Primary/Secondary
You're sure to hear this repeated a good bit - Just because you've played one set, doesn't mean you know how to play them all.
For instance, my namesake tank is a Fire/Superstrength tank. I know how he plays. The most similar powerset to him at the time of writing is Dark Armor. It's resistance based, it has no knockback protection, it has a damage aura, a self heal that does damage - it even has a self rez as its tier9.
They don't play anything alike. (I can say this, because I also have a version that's DA/SS.) Fire has no Psi protection. It has no stealth. Burn has a far different effect than Oppressive Gloom, and nothing similar to Cloak of Fear. It calls for a thoroughly different style of play. With Fire, I can leave my toggles on and go to town. With Dark Armor, I have to be selective, or the times I have to herd stragglers (for instance) won't work exceptionally well. Dark Armor also does not have anything like Consume to help out with Endurance - that's in Dark Melee.
[/ QUOTE ]
Play style for all tanks: Go first, hit things, hold aggro. I suppose "survive" could be added to that, but that's generally everyone's goal. Since you choose the powers during a respec you should already have a basic idea what your character can do provided you can read. This game isn't exactly rocket surgery. -
Has he installed the latest leaveners? Perhaps he should post an IBakeThis log.

Last time I went into it, having been cajoled into it by a team with the promise of PvE missions, I got snagged by TP Foe shortly after zoning in and nearly ganked by another player. So, yes, definitely a PvP zone. Though it may be practically deserted these days, I won't chance it.
[/ QUOTE ]
What's there to chance? Nothing happens if you die in a PvP zone.
[/ QUOTE ]
Except the dying part. -
[ QUOTE ]
Why? So what if you get killed? You don't even get debt when killed by a player.
[/ QUOTE ]
It's not the debt, it's the irritation. Debt doesn't bother me at all these days anyway. Half the time, I've got so much blue bar built up that it acts as ablative debt armor. Were it just a PvE hazard zone with meteors raining down that randomly killed me I'd still avoid it. -

Had I been soloing I would have been just as teleported and attacked. Soloing doesn't give you TP defense and PvP immunity. At least it didn't back then. Mayhap that's one of the new PvP rules? -

Here is a radical thought. Since you want new content for the low levels, and you are not supposed to use the MA system for PLing to 50 in a few hours, why don't you try playing the MA content for the new stories that are in it?
[/ QUOTE ]
If we're just going to stand in a small room around a pillar of light, why even have Paragon City/Rogue Isles?
[/ QUOTE ]
It's still a perfectly viable option though for someone complaining about the low level content getting old and boring. Correct or not?
[/ QUOTE ]
It's at least as viable an option as playing Pac-Man instead.
[/ QUOTE ]
Nah, I'd equate playing Pac-Man more to playing through the first 20 levels in the regular game...again....and again...and again...and agaian...OMG, again?!?!?!....etc.
Anyways, I realize you're just being difficult. However, you still DID just agree with me that it is a viable choice, even if you won't admit that it is prefferable to play new content rather than play through the same 20 levels of content that one has allready played through so many times before (which is insane, and thusly, proves that you are just being difficult). So, thank you.
[/ QUOTE ]
I admitted that it's as viable a choice as playing a different game. One without a persistent world that begs a subscription. Choose any of those games at random and chances are you'll have found better "new content" than any given MA mission, too.
But even if the MA content was actually good, it wouldn't solve the gameplay issues that make levelling suck in the early game. -

[ QUOTE ]
It seems like you put yourself in this situation. There are alot of things you "can't" do. Perhaps, you should adapt to the everchanging tastes of the playerbase.
[/ QUOTE ]
I didn't put myself in this situation. It wasn't I who unleashed AE on the game, after all. But I'm sure I'll adapt, it'll just take time. At this rate, I estimate I should be adapted by early September. -
[ QUOTE ]
Why? Because I have friends and I belong to a supergroup.
[/ QUOTE ]
I have a list of global friends that I largely don't recall and who mostly don't play any more. Continually trying to add more people to that list who I will not remember a week from now if they're even still around, and who probably won't be playing a character that is convenient for me to team up with seems like a futile endeavor.
Supergroups either seem to be rather inactive or else expect a commitment to the game that I just don't have. As an example, the last supergroup I joined with two characters, I set those two aside for a bit to play other characters and when I came back to those two characters they had been booted from the group for inactivity.
I cannot maintain a vast social network. Nor can I commit myself to supergroup activities. Thus, I thrived on PUGs. Until AE came along. Now those seem all too rare. -
With that much defense on a Regen you don't really need to be awesome. You can just sleepwalk through the enemies.
