Quote:No, I don't even have Show PvP Effects turned on in the Details (in the Management/Respec screen). The only buff listed in the Details in-game is resistance to all damage on self. Were it properly displayed, then, it should have two buffs listed - one specifically for smashing and one for lethal. In PvE, it is just against S/L damage. You were probably looking at the PvP values in-game.
Alas, that will teach me to trust the Details. -
Actually, I was looking at it in-game while respeccing (for Inherent Fitness). All it listed was +15% Resist (All). I assumed the game's info was correct and decided to get Boxing in there to get Tough later at level 50, if it's just S/L I'm going to regret that decision. ;P

Rather than just Smashing/Lethal?

Quote:I love the theme song myself. Reminds me a bit of Masterplan. And the show has been pretty good so far despite mediocre art with an often terrible sense of perspective.I really like it.
It's a nice mixture of the movie-stuff and the comic-stuff.
And I find the Intro Song to be very catchy.

I didn't hate or like the episode. Disappointed that we'll probably never find out about that Egyptian goddess.

Tiny arthropods are clearly no match for felines.

They gave all characters free respecs just for that purpose. I haven't used it on all of my old characters, because rebuilding some of them just to pick three more powers which I will probably not have spare slots for isn't all that useful.
-
Indeed. On my digital guide it appeared to be 10-15 minutes over the hour slot. I didn't pay attention to the exact time, however.

Yeah, the Craig Ferguson thing was awesome. I think he had the Dalek on his show for that entire week, too, just kind of looming near the Robot Skeleton.
And it's certainly nice to see BBCA getting the Doctor in a timely fashion. If only the same would occur with things like Sherlock and Dirk Gently rather than their usual incessant stream of Top Gear, Gordon Ramsay, and Star Trek:TNG (and, of course, Doctor Who repeats - I think I've seen Doomsday and that traffic episode twenty times this week). -
The only thing I hate about my Electric/Energy blaster's nuke is the End crash. Of course, I have Boost Range on auto so I can shock-nuke them from a respectable distance and possibly be able to run/jump away should there be anything left to retaliate.
Personally, I find the End crash to be annoying and unnecessary given the lengthy recharge times. -
Quote:Anyone with half a brain knows that "different" and "better" aren't the same thing, and anyone who's literate can see which of the two I was making a point about.Wow, what a load of nonsense. Did you get a discount on that load?
The second time you watch a movie the EXPERIENCE IS DIFFERENT. Why? Because you know what's going to happen. That colors everything you see. Seeing The Usual Suspects the first time is a gobsmacking experience when you get to the end. Watching it the second time, on the other hand, you're looking for the hints and clues that lead to that ending.
That's a different experience. That's what spoilers do to you. Q.E.D. Anyone with half a brain can see that. I know you half a brain Tenzhi, so arguing the opposite is ridiculous. -

I... hold on... ::looks around:: Oh, MOO, you almost got me! I thought for a moment this was a different hornet's nest, when it is, in fact, one I've already poked! Not that it needs poking: looks like someone's been at it with lighter fuel already and the hive is buzzing.

Quote:I picked him up back when AVs would per force show up in certain missions regardless of whether you were solo or not. He was suggested as the magic bullet to allow me to defeat Silver Mantis, as I recall, and he did not prove so useful. I kept him on that character from that point up to level 50 and got rid of him after finding no situation where he was particularly useful, and certainly no situations where his usefulness outweighed his appearance. My experience is that I might get distracted with some enemies and come back after they're done to find Fluffy has one or two completely controlled and just doesn't have the damage to beat them.
More often the problem I have is trying to sneak around after Fluffy's out so I end up having to dismiss him.
How long ago did you use fluffy? Maybe a second or third build would be a good chance to try him again?
That was some time ago. Indeed, all this talk about him fighting after you die is a bit bewildering to me as my experience with pets is that they fall down/unsummon when you get defeated. -
If I really get hooked on one of my characters so that I'm motivated and playing regularly, and team invites are forthcoming, I might get to 50 in a couple of months. If I don't get so absolutely hooked, it may take MUCH longer or it might not happen at all.

Quote:Could be expecting to be soloing x8 CoT missions and inevitably coming up against spawns entirely composed of those dagnabbed ghosts of theirs.Talk about extreme overkill. What, do you expect to be fighting +10 enemies regularly?
Or doing what I was doing the other day for the heck of it: running around PI fighting +7/+8 Bosses. Unfortunately, I'm not set up with super-accuracy, so despite having Rage active I had to set up a steady IV drip of Yellow Insps in order to slowly whittle away their HPs. -

Quote:Always better for you, perhaps. If a movie or book is truly good, in my experience the whole will hold up just as well if you learn about bits of it piecemeal or not. If that were untrue, then re-watching/reading a book/movie later would always be an unpleasant experience given that you'd already experienced the whole of it. Then again, maybe that's true for you: maybe you have to have shiny new surprise at all times to find enjoyment in something; for my part, it's rare that I'm surprised by character/plot payouts anyway.Spoilers *must* affect your opinion, because then there are no surprises. Discovery is pretty much the entire point of storytelling. Nevermind plot twists like the Kobayashi Maru reveal in Star Trek II or the "I see dead people" twist of Sixth Sense, the unfolding of the story and revelation of character are why we watch movies and television and read books at all. If you already know what's going to happen, you can't experience that. It's impossible, in fact.
Therefore spoilers ruin your experience, period. Seeing something cold is always better. Always. Anyone who says differently is wrong.
Like a good taco, it doesn't matter that I'm well acquainted with the individual ingredients and flavours, I enjoy the process of chewing and tasting. A good story is happily digested in the same way. -

Quote:Yes, it can conceivably work both ways. Hence my reply that you quoted which was itself in response to a statement very similar to your own. Congratulations on completing a circle which had already been completed. The solo difficulty should not be lowered to appease people that flatly refuse to avail themselves of the tools available in the game to complete content.
See, it works both ways.
The way you're wanting it kept is the game changer, I just want the difficulty brought back down to the status quo.Quote:Even in this extremely solo friendly MMO, there are times when you will need help, even if you don't like it. Either use the tools that are available or STFU. Don't try to change the game for the rest of us due to YOUR stubborn refusal to use the in game resources to their fullest extent.
