In the original sketches for female soldiers, they were a bit more distinct than the men (as in, you could tell) and I think they had some more platformy/heeled boots, which did look quite cool.
Longer hair in combat situation is not a good idea, too much of a liability. So thats practical sense.
The option for no helmets on soldiers would be nice. As would having the option for two armoured slots, to swop between the two.
And thematically, Arachnos soldiers are meant to be the faceless mass that will ground people down into pulp so their master can rule the worldlooking nice isnt as important for them as looking evil.

The Chief smashed the Surgeon fully in the face, pulling the punch just enough to leave him in one piece, if not a pretty one. He felt Omega lash out through it, and even Alpha got behind it, and he knew that the doc would have the worst headache in history when he woke up.
"Keep him down and an eye on him," he ordered Flash and Aisha, before making his way over to Healer Kid and Light Keeper. He looked over the injured officer, resting a hand on him and letting Alphas healing energy flow, but he knew it would take a lot of work, maybe too much, to undo all the damage. Alpha also extended his energy to Healing Kid, starting to knit the self-inflicted wound across his chest.
"Rule one of being a medic, don't put yourself in harms way," he said quietly, not looking up from the officer, "You get yourself killed, and even more people will get hurt by it."
He sat the man up, out of the reach of the sucking, cloying liquid, water being too generous a word.
"Can you hear me?" he asked quietly. -

^ THIS.
Very few things left on that are worth watching. If watching at all, it tends to be Dave, and Top Gear re-runs.

Next time you listen to that theme tune, does it not sound like; "Now we're all - going to die. We're all going to die, in a hundreddifferent ways..." ? -
One way to get around any possible upgrade problems could be to use auras.
So, primary upgrade is a blue aura, secondary is a red one, for instance. For Robots it could be the electric aura, undead the fly aura, etc, or simply a generic glow aura.
Certain ones, such as the Crey troops, could use alternate models. So Security guard, security agent, elite agent, or medic, geneticist, chief scientist. -

The Chief saw the hostage was out of harms way, and shouted briefly at the empath to do what he could.
Then he strode forward, one metallic fist lashing out and grabbing the brawling surgeon by the collar and hauling him clean off the ground. The two remaining buzzsaws whickered and snarled, scraping off his sleek, polished surface. They left scratched and grooves, but it was clear that the Chief either didnt notice or didn't care, as he glared at the doctor.
"What robot? What did he say about flesh, and cops? Answer me now," The Chiefs eyes flared, and his colours shifted, just for one seething moment, to the dark and threatening colours of Omega, "Or you'll live to regret crossing me for the rest of your days!" -
Im sure they worked after I13, at least for a while. Maybe a bork up in one of the later patches?
Rather annoying, if nothing else =[ -
Would rather have two hospitals in Mercy Island ¬¬
Whoever designed that had a grudge against low lvl villains.
At least by Nerva lvl you should be tough enough/fast enough to not be in too much trouble. At Mercy lvl? Thats one long slog... -
Was trying it out on my PB, seems like emotes have all stopped working with the White Dwarf form. Dunno if they do or dont with Black Dwarf, or if it was even jsut a bad day for the emotes. Anyone else noticed this?

Valkyries MoG is a slightly unique one, I think, and a complete watsit to combat. A friend on his bots MM and me on my Crab with pets et all had quite a tough time against those two. I wouldnt mind Valkyrie rezzing and MoGing...but I DO mind the damn thing lasting so long. It really is a tad too long

The Chief let the others deal with the crazed surgeons. Now his one and only concern was for the injured officer.
Bright energy glowed in the wound, Alpha pouring his power to heal torn flesh and restore lost blood, even as the Chief pushed himself between the saw arms and the table. A couple of blows chittered across his torso, kicking up sparks and one leaving a slight groove in the toughened metal, but the Chief was renowned for putting himself in harms way to save others...
(( I got sick of waiting for you to reply, Empy
Chief will keep himself between the docs and the captive as best as possible, while Alpha pours power in to heal him (Peacebringers can). Sorta like pilot and co-pilot operation. )) -
The Chief saw that Aisha was dealing well with her foes, and so launched himself at the cluster in front of him.
A two handed blow laid the first out flat, and another was sent flying by a collosal uppercut.
The Chief shifted suddenly, his energy signature morphing and his body glowing, even as his armour shifted to blue and white. As Alpha surfaced, layers of energy poured over the Chiefs armour, as he grew in size and bulk, until he resembled a glowing juggernaught, massive fists wreathed in Kheldian energy.
The surgeons around him were hurled to the floor as the sound of the stomp made the tunnels echo, the 'Dwarf Form' making the very ground quiver and ripple with released energy. -

One thing I did notice while on WoW trial. Handy and much more accurate. -

You do have to wonder though, will we still get the free booster pack if we get the Architect edition as a download? Or is it just in the box that we're not getting?

Another thing that only the yanks get, just like actual contact from the Devs, closed Beta invites, etc...
(Yeah, we're getting closed betas now, but for the first time ever since launchwoop de doo )

The Chief felt the boost the Empaths efforts had give him, and he used it to amp up the EMP's he was using to distract the crazed surgeons, almost hauling directly on their brains.
"Get to the wounded one," he paused to shout at HK, motioning briefly to the hostage who had had his eye taken out by one of the doctors, and who was still bleeding. -
Nooooooo!!
-le sigh-
Well, in that case Church may well be getting the axe. I would really like that slot free
Hope ya get a job soon man, and cyas back sometime. -
I remember Posi (iirc) saying that the Devs would now be using the MA for future missions themselves as "Its a hell of a lot better than what we had!" (paraphrased)
-
The Chief swore internally as he saw one of the hostages injured. If he couldnt heal the wound in time, then he would be the one to answer for it. They should have taken time, been more careful...
At least make sure none of the others need tending to.
He landed on his chosen target like a hammer, pulverizing him into the floor under a tonne of polished Tolinium steel. Then he leapt again, landing away from the hostages medical beds. He shouted to get the attention of Vahziloks lackeys, motioning tauntingly at them with one hand, while, unseen and unnoticed, a specified wave of EMP signals washed over them, subtly tweaking synapses to focus everything on the source. In this case, The Chief.
"Get the civilians out of here!" he paused to shout at the others, before adjusting his stance and powering up his gauntlets, their red glow lighting a little glove in the darkness, as he let the enemy come to him. -
The Chief saw Flash move as the surgeon started cutting at cloth, and he knew it would only be seconds before the manic zealot moved onto the flesh.
"Get them!" he roared, exploding from the shadows, his colours changing to the natural, and reknowned, red and white. Even as he got airborne, ready to dive in, he unleashed a twin bolt of energy from his visor, aimed to catsh the cutting surgeon square in the side, before powering straight at him.
"ENTOR' THALOS!" -
Id have thought Dr Strange was a better example of high collar capes, myeself.
Hmm...faith in Jay has taken quite a few hits recently. Hopefully this booster will be a good un. Hopefully... -
The Chief motioned with one dark gauntlet, gesturing for the others to spread out around the Vahzilok surgeons. He also pointed upwards, suggesting someone cover the roof, anything to try and get a drop on the crazy bone-doctors while they were still unaware and distracted...

I think he means that should be the system used.
As in, you send the invite, where you chose the comment. The game then tacks on who the leader is (normally you I if your sending invites) and how many members the team has.
If not, thats my new suggestion -
My brother bought it, I got allowed to make a character.
Later on, I had enough money to get it myself, after reading and re-reading the article in Game Magazine, I think it was. Said F off to the parents (I was young, once) and, well...here I am. Madder than ever, and still addicted

Wonder what the hell NC spend it all on. Yeah, new staff, etc...but...
