Please can we have a few things;
-Vanguard Backplate (Back Detail)
-Longbow pattern (Pattern for tight tops and bottoms)
-Warden Helmet (Hat)
-Longbow grenades chest detail (Chest Detail)
-The belt/webbing over jacket from the soldiers in the Vanguard base (Belt for Jackets, Chest Detail for jackets)
Please, Dink, I truly am begging now -
Quote:This sums it up perfectly. At the very least, something like Zeus's lightning or Hammer of Justice that States used to have would be nice, but ideally just a massive ground-pound/stomp attack would be really nice. Really disappointed that that's still missing, despite being asked for really often
I wish there was some sort of Mega Ground Punch or Juggernaut Headcrush type Judgement power, myself. As it is, I couldn't find anything I liked for my WP/SS tanker and thus will be skipping the Judgement power on that character. -
Consecutive 'better' idea;
-Revamp the Costume Creator.
A UI change was all well and good (depending, it futz'd a few things in ways I didn't like, but eh), but it didn't fix some of the major underlying problems.
This has been long overdue for...well, ages. If it IS possible at all, it should be done. ASAP. -
He has a bear pelt, but transforms into a giant wolf thing...false advertising!
-
To have statues of all these random no-namers and bit-Heroes, and NOT have one of Statesman and Psyche? That would be bad form and out of character for the Paragon Universe. And shallow and petty too, really =/
-
Do those funky hands, Chameleon! XD I think that's him, right?
-
Dear Paragon Store. Please stop nearly crashing the game whenever I try and open you, whether on the menu or in game. I don't care how badly designed you are. The market managed it, so can you.
Regards, Alpha
(This is getting silly now. As if the UI being crud wasn't bad enough -_- ) -
Quote:If that happens, you are hiring me.I don't care who buys NCsoft.
I care about who buys Paragon Studios.
Which I hope one day will be me, once my plan to win the lottery actually comes to fruition.

No, that was not a request -
Ellie Stoneberg was not the only one in a rage at the time of broadcast.
The coffee table, badly repaired after its close encounter of a failed-ninja kind, gave up the ghost and snapped clean in half as Samantha Christophe landed a punch squarely in the centre of it.
"You *******! Ow, ****, ****," she snarled, massaging her knuckles and trying to rub some feeling back into them. "You **** the truth, you mess with people like it's a game, you send ninjas into my home, and you don't even have the decency to make them GOOD ones?!"
The reporter slumped back on the sofa, before leaning forward with her elbows on her knees and her fingers steepled in front of her nose, glaring at the television.
"I'm your 'Holmes' am I, 'Moriarty'? Well, in that case, 'Doc', you will be hunted. You be hunted and hounded and chased to the ends of this damn country and this damn planet, and I will bleed you. I will bleed you of every asset, every twisted little plan, every maniacal gesture you ever though fun. I will get you and, when I have you? The Truth will have you, Doctor Edward Johnson. And the Truth will bring you down. I swear it..." -
Fix pet A.I. Do It Right This Time
There's a whole list of pet peeves I could make, and probably should...
Oh, also for costume pet peeves;
-Add the Longbow pattern already
-Add the Vanguard back detail already. There is NO excuse now! -
Quote:Lucky you, mine has magically decided on it's own accord to REMOVE The gorramn filter I put up. So the picture is back -_-All I'll add is that two of the three examples provided could not be participated in unless some of us got a transatlantic flight to the Plummit. So no, not really relevant to those of us who have limited methods of interacting with the Devs.
Oh and for the record, I'm quite calm about it all, just disappointed. At least this mess has prompted me to get AdBlock installed.
Woop. De. Doo. -
Quote:At least here, if that happens? Yeah, player-base revolt. Surely no one would mess up a status quo that has worked for eight years and still going strong. This kind of makes my skin crawl a little because Nexon games (MapleStory, Mabinogi, etc) tend to be typical Asian-style grindfests. I sincerely hope they don't try to press City into such a beast. The beauty in City is that you don't HAVE to grind to get where you want to go (it's faster to, obviously, yes; Nexon's games pretty much require grinding).

Quote:I'd be for that. I 100% agree with 'NO CYBER NINJAS!' That worked wonders for Mass Effect 3, after all Ohwaitnoitdidn't...Not to pick on Azure, but he(?) hit two points that work for me:
Agree 100%, and lets hope that they all don't start packing more Sapper rifles!
And I think that's exactly the direction that Malta should go! Not just borrowing technology and costumes from DUST, TEST and IDF, but actively recruiting former members of those organizations after the war to expand the Malta Mission to both worlds, coming up with a combined look in the process.
I think DUST and co are, if anything, a bit too heavy-duty of a look for Malta. Malta strike me as a fast moving force, with the exception of Titans, so likely would have cut-down weapons and slick kit. Again, just my opinion. -
Quote:'Translate' does not like me. I get Engrish.

Quote:No, you misunderstand. Not that it can't be done, but the amount of time and effort and likelihood of braking something big time mean that the chances of this ever happening are so minute as to fit under the door.
If they DID find a way to pull it off without reversing gravity, then expect them to be going for 1,200 points in the Store, because I can say now, they won't be free and they won't be obtainable by any other means.
The Devs have said (At least I'm about 90% sure they were referring to this) that, as well as being an absolute pain code wise, they Do Not Want to give this to players.
They want people to roll alts. Or re-roll. Or just stick with the character. They chose not to do it (for both reasons). End of. -

Human Smog, The Column of Samantha Christophe.
(Published in the front of the Paragon Times and on its own online page)
I have to confess. At first I honestly though my Editor had had enough, that he wanted to throw something up that I would then report on, get laughed at for and then have to fix. That the world just wanted to throw some more excrement at the rotating air-cooling device, for a ‘change’.
I really, really honestly wish I had been right, and that it had all been some kind of sick prank.
Marcus Cole, born June 6th 1896, aged 116 as of just two days ago, known to the world as the Hero Statesman…is dead.
I didn’t even know it was his birthday this month. Guess the big guy didn’t like keeping track. I can’t say as I blame him; even I'm starting to accidentally 'forget', because it feels like you're getting old. I don’t know which would be worse; thinking the universe really is empty and doesn’t acknowledge we even exist, or that some cosmic entity knew that his own damn daughter would be murdered on the day after his birthday. And then, the day after…
Statesman. The Statesman. Someone’s friend, someone’s father, someone’s grandfather. A Hero, a symbol. Still just a man. He survived both World Wars, Brass Monday, Nemesis’ few day rule as Emperor of the America’s, the First Rikti War, the ongoing Second…the guy survived a damn nuclear missile to the face.
And now he’s dead. Just like that. Dead.
I’ll be the first to admit that costumed Heroes aren’t the be-all and end-all. There are brave, everyday heroes in the PPD, the Fire Department, the Armed forces…hell, average Joes and Janes who train up, get a licence and fight crime. But…Statesman wasn’t just a Hero. First he was an average man, then a soldier, then a Hero, and then a symbol. I don’t think anyone in the ‘civilised’ world didn’t know the name Statesman. Although there were probably a few who never knew the name Marcus Cole.
I kept writing bits of that in present tense. It’s like my own brain can’t fathom that he’s gone. He was one of those things, those day to day facts. Like bills, up-and-away burger, the tram lines and traffic jams. Grass grows, birds fly, sun shines and Statesman fights crime.
Fought crime…
I wonder if he ever felt taken for granted? Like the fact we expect the PPD to be there, to do something, only on a much bigger scale. Statesman, the Trolls are trying to blow up my school; Statesman, Zig prisoners are escaping, what are you going to do? Statesman, Arachnos are attacking, why can’t you fix this?
That hurt to write. That actually made a jaded, world-weary [*****] wince. Maybe this is some kind of sick and twisted justice; we took the big guy for granted, expected him to be the hero, expected him to be there, to save the day.
And now he’s gone.
It’s like natural disasters. You never figure it will happen until it’s on your doorstep. I’ve found it hard to write from time to time, as every writer does. But this time? This time, I don’t even know what to say anymore.
I need a drink. A strong one. I get the feeling I won’t be alone in that endeavour. So I guess I’ll raise a glass to Statesman, whatever gods and heavens there are out there rest and respect his soul, and hope that, in world that just got a little bit darker, the Heroes of today can live up to or surpass the standards of the Heroes of yesterday. -
The Devs have said, explicitly, that this is not happening. Ever.

Ech, cut me some slack, that's the first drawing I've managed to do in a few months, thanks to art block. It's not 'ninja mesh' so much as a general 'this is an advanced undersuit' place-holder...
-
Quote:My point, though, is that Malta look good now...for standard military or real-world spec ops units.
Just going to link this since it's a fairly big forum breaking image.
For once, baggy (well, "bulky" really) and lots of pouches aren't really out of place.... don't forget, the ones I showed before weren't out "in the field" but in a parade and doing calisthenics (or a dance number, not sure.) They don't have their gear, body armor, etc with them.
This is City of Heroes, where metas are dime a dozen. Does that kit look like it could stop fire, ice, energy attacks and super strength? Yes, yes, the lore and canon says they have highly advanced poly-weave McGuffin armour, but does it look the part?
No, in my opinion. But, again, that's just my opinion *shrug*
And yeah, I hope they don't go too far the other way if they do redesign with Battle Maiden's tech. I don't want them to do a Mass Effect 3 and suddenly have nonsensical Space Ninjas hopping around.
(Funnily enough, I thought the Knives looked spot on for a future-soldier special ops group. Even with the slight ninja theme...) -
-
Eh, fair enough I suppose. They still suffer, like all the original mobs do, from low poly and low-res texture issues, in my opinion. That and, well...they technically have a camo pattern, but both colours are the same blue. Kind of defeats the point
-
Pretty simple, really. The Malta Group are supposed to be one of the biggest high level threats in CityOf. They are the anti-meta paramilitary, the non-powered men and women who still have the equipment and funding and experience to go up against Super Heroes and Villains and win. They are cold, efficient, ruthless, dangerous people.
And, uh....yeah, they look terrifying...right?
Uh, not really, no. In fact, they look pretty old, low tech, a bit like bog-standard army grunts in blue outfits. No high-tech, no up to date equipment. Really, they look a bit of a joke.
So, while I don't claim to be up to the standard of the awesome David or his art crews, I did throw together something that was a little more modern for Malta;
Malta aren't the worst offenders when it comes to needing updates and redesigns, but they are one of the groups that doesn't really fit it's reputation when it comes to looks.
Just my two cents. -
Quote:Yeah. Bloody wonderful. Do YOU have 1billion inf and upwards to spare? Because that's how much all TWO of the recipes on the market are going for. That's why it also is a recipe drop. The recipe (although only found in incarnate trials) is usable by those lower than 50.
i.e. recipe is bloody pointless unless you have the dead luck to get it yourself. -
Whatever Dev though having this and Maelstrom's pistols trial locked, on a stupidly low drop chance recipe, that also goes for 750 million to a billion on the market....
There are no words. Only disgust and anger
This. Is. Stupid.
