  1. I vote for /Cold...I'm also made a mock Outcast toon that is Fire/Cold.

    ^_______^ Thank youuzz!
  3. Ugh me stoopid but can someone point out where the Oni-ish bottom mask half is located and what is it named? I look under masks but I couldn't find it. In case you want to know what I am talking about I am talking about this...

  4. I understand what you mean by cutting down on alts but if you really think of it there's alot things going against you if you have alt-itis. To me they WANT you to have alt-itis. This is just they way I feel and the way I see it.
  5. I REALLY like the idea of the Marksman rounds.

Plant is a strong set with it's own bevy of tricks, and rad complements it nicely with additional control options and of course the phenomenal de-buffs. Plant/Rad's nicest bonus however is it's speed of maturity. Plant/Rad is good to go at something like level 8, and only gets better. Ill/Rad and Fire/Rad both take a while to hit their stride.

Making a bad controller with ill, fire, or plant as the primary, or rad or storm as the secondary is pretty hard though.

My thoughts on the Ill vs. Fire debate.

Well built illusion/radiation is arguably the strongest contender in the game vs. hard targets in that it will almost always win over time. I have yet to run into an AV on my Ill/Rad that has been a significant challenge (as long as I remember to keep clicking, some of them drag on for a while) and generally the only time I die on the character is when I get too aggressive.

Fire/Rad is the meaner, faster, not quite as safe sister to Ill/Rad. But for normal play, Fire/Rad doesn't disappoint in that it does everything well. Also everyone loves having a Fire/Rad on the team, something that Illusion occasionally (rightly or not) gets some knocks for. For those of a more horticultural mindset, Fire/Rad is a much better choice (of the two).

Hope that helps, after reading this discussion I'm all excited to play my fire/rad again. I might have to return to that project after I finish up the characters that I am working on.
I'm glad someone chimed in about Plant/Rad. I was playing with a build on mids and I was giddy b/c of all of the versatility. Creepers+Seeds help with aggro like PA does. Also if you want to help with slight healing for the team Radiant Aura and Spirit Tree helps out. Roots does sexy dmg and Fly Trap now is better than ever.
  7. /Cold and this is coming from someone who hasn't lvl'd one yet! I have a lvl 39 Storm/Dark and I LOVE him but paired with ice...storm becomes a learning experience and I admit alot of times with my Storm/Dark I had to hold back on teams and it killed me b/c I know what I can really do!

Also /Cold has frostworks so no need for a heal! With just you and him you can keep frostworks on him 24/7.

I kinda like it that way! He's like the Go To Guy...and he's all lovable and cuddly to boot!
  9. I need to make a new Traps defender...so many possibilities!

    /Rad for it's awesomeness
/Dark for it's debuffing and exotic dmg
    /Sonic for it's -Res and it's sleep

    I might go /Dark and /Sonic

Stalkers I found Dark/Dark did not work as well as a stalker then as my brute. The main reason is the Dark Armor auras are made to stun foes. The Stalker however is made to have a powerful AS strike. So your attack would be... Hide sneak up, AS, Turn on auras for other foes. Fight like mad. Between your AS and the aura activation your open to attack and stuck in the animation.

Tankers I found given Dark Armor end drain issue and lack of Knock back protection. It's a challenge to play as a tanker but can be done. If you use this be very skilled with enhancements.

I'm having a blast with my Dark/Dark Brute. Level 32 I still juggle my toggles picking and choosing on what targets I'm going to hit and turning off my aura's when I'm done to save end.

I went to level 50 with a Dark/Dark Scrapper. With the DPS End wasn't much of a problem with small groups. I often soloed with my scrapper.

Edit to add.... Of course as I was typing this you chose brute.... it's a blast.

If you like to change Dark armor with Willpower it makes an unstoppable tanker! Thought one more focused on one foe at a time. Might make a good Stalker or Scrapper a Dark Melee/Willpower.
I've rolled a dark/dark before and I just love the look and everything about it...I might roll a scrapper b/c i don't like the responsibility of being a tank with the dark primary. (I have a Fire/Ice Tank and the price for the kb protection was OUT OF THIS WORLD).

Also I want to also roll a scrapper b/c i have never been able to lvl one before and the body mastery will do well to combat the end use of Cloak of Fear.
  11. Ah ok! Thanks Chill out! Brute it is!
  12. Hello all I am about to roll a Dark/Dark Scrapper/Stalker/Brute or Tank.

To be honest I prefer a Brute or Scrapper but a Stalker or Tank would suffice as well....let me hurry up and get the meat of my question...How is a Dark/Dark on end when it comes to me picking Cloak of Fear and Death Shroud? I know I would need to turn them off when not in use but would it be best for me to make a Dark/Dark scrapper or Tanker due to the Body Mastery and Engine Mastery APP at lvl 41? Or would a Dark/Dark Brute/Scrapper be fine with Stamina and Dark Consumption?

One of the missions in the TF sent us to Eden. I had to afk, and when I came back, most of the team was dead due to a hot door. If I remember correctly, there were about 4-5 yellow/orange Devoured bosses slapping people around. The tank was dead, as well as the blasters, and I think our storm defender was trying to keep them at bay with hurricane. I dropped from the sky into the middle of the group as the defender went down.

My scrapper took them all down while everyone watched. I could have just entered the mission while everyone else went to the hospital, but I wanted to see if he could do it. And he did. And it was glorious. The tank complained about it, which just made it better. Rawr Scrappers! I have four at level 50. Definitely my favorite AT.
Awesome story! Reminds me of my stalker fighting a bajillion Arachnos goons and lving to tell about it! He also killed them all thanks to the awesomeness of being a nin/nin and having waterspout : 3.

Balance does not suggest that every build, AT or character be as good at every task as every other.

I won't claim that Stalkers have an outstanding place in the key set of roles people look for a character to fill in this game, but that's not a problem unique to Stalkers. They're essentially what was originally a PvP-centric AT tweaked to be viable in PvE. They're intended to be played because they're functional and different than the alternatives. If they don't do what you want to achieve in the game, it's OK if you don't play them.
I've killed many Elite Bosses and some EB's with my stalker with just SO's. Mind you it took a while lol.

I remember seeing before he started attacking he did either 2 or three build up attacks so buidl up has ot be in there somewhere.
  17. Wow you're serious....*rubs eyes* way to early for me to read so much... I will have to come back to this later. *blindly searches for coffee*

Wow Red addiction...I agree with you on that but...wouldn't that take a lot of man power that the devs don't have? I dunno I can't say much b/c you really thought this through. I do like your ideas and remind me if I ever need help with some creativity...nice!

And to the one who gave me a negative comment/rating yes I do matter just like everyone else. I pay for this game monthly just like you except unlike you I voiced my opinion and left it at that...which I can say is better than you... who seemed to have got all hurt from what I said and gave me a bad rating b/c I disagreed with you :P.

Indeed I think of Corruptors as angry defenders...or angry defenders who went insane from to much "BUFF PLEASE" tells lol.

Oh wow Ethric...hrmm so many possibilities...*Opens up mids*

ETHRIC this is a silly question but I have never had a high lvl Cold toon before..how can I gain the end bonus if I end up killing the whole spawn ? Or If I nuke them to all corners of the earth? Do I have to heard them?
  19. LOL @ everyone complaining about the difficulty of the ToT spawns. I like the bosses, I like how I actually have to break a sweat or how I get nervous/scared/excited when the doors open up, it's fun! The time before when it was just minions spawns were boring! I found myself falling asleep at the keyboard and on teams ppl tend wait till they get their badge and leave due to the mediocre xp output.

My team wiped 2 or three times within a 2.5 hour span of ToT'ing. ONLY 2 or three times! Not so bad and it sure did make us pay attention next time. Do people still take debt seriously in this game? I have no issue with it. If needed be I park my toon in the Police Headquarters/Arachnos Base and let them chill there for 10 days if I somehow manage to get a whole level's worth of debt it will be taken care of in ten days.

While you are waiting, play other toons.

Not only you can solo very efficiently, you are one of the better teammates around with the strong buffs and potent debuffs. Also, insane damage you can achieve with just Sleet + RoF alone gets just better with Fire Ball, Heat Loss and Inferno.
IS it true that Heat Loss would ease or Negate shall we say( :P) The crash from your nuke correct? A bud told me that and I refused to believe it.

  22. My Warshade is ok solo but nothing special now when I up my mob count it starts to get down right naughty! On teams I am just ripping through most spawns as if they are paper but when I solo 1 or 2 lvls higher than me with /+4 mob count I actually have to pay attention.
  23. I might be the only one saying this but...I enjoy the Zombie Raids! I get tired of fighting only Ritki so zombies are a nice alternative. Also I think it's awesome that we have Zombie Raids year around so badge lovers don't have to wait for TWO WEEKS OUT OF ONE WHOLE BLAZIN' YEAR to get badges or to get a pumpkin head! I know I have several toons on several servers who have Pumpkin Heads!!! I guess to fix that they could do what they do with the x-mas and the valentines event have it go on twice a year or so, so no one misses out.

If you want to get rid of the Z Raid so be if but please at least make the pumpkin head assessable as head piece I can purchase at WW or BM. Also in replace of the z raid let something else spawn...even though I hate lagging and crashing I do love to join with other toons to fight a greater threat!

Just like every other AT, that's more dependant on the player than the character. But numerically, Stalkers can do better single-target DPS than Scrappers with a mid-large sized team while ignoring the guaranteed criticals and assuming the same attack chain (ie, no Assassin's Strike to get a huge boost out of the gate). As for AoE, now you're looking into powerset-by-powerset comparisons and specific builds, but generally speaking a Scrapper will do more AoE than a Stalker, and a Blaster will do more AoE than either (and often more than both put together).

I'm not disputing that Stalkers are a lot more fun; they are for me as well (I have 2 MMs currently, 7 Stalkers; any one of the Stalkers sees more playtime than both of the MMs combined). But for those who find it extremely fun to sit back and watch as their enemies melt before them, MMs will be more their style.
Ah ok. IT just seemed everyone was throwing poo at the Stalkers AT but I see what you're saying now. I like seeing Foes melt before my feet but I like to put forth some effort. I saw a Bot/FF on team not to long ago and seriously he didn't do anything....in fact he did have to do much b/c Ahrse Bot and CO. were uber all by themselves plus the tasty defense that goes along with FF. In fact Yesterday during a zombie Apocalypse I was next to Ahrse bot and I never felt safer...I just wish I could find a way for me to lvl a MM to 50 I have tried EVERYTHING...maybe this new MM Demon set will keep me for the long run.

The most fun I had MM wise was A Merc/Pois b/c I guess Merc is the most "gimped when it comes to dmg but even he is sitting right at lvl 34 as we speak"
  25. You see Disapri and Kingsnake you guys are smart about it....but time after time Again I team up with Morons who never have fought a particular group of guys OR they think their sets is Godly and then they Bonsai Jump in a group of Malta/Nemesis/COT and looked so shocked when they diez. My fav is the WP is everything brutes....I love when they realize Wp can crush everything! Well 99% of everything but who's counting? lol
