Marvel Heroes is starting to looks like X-Men Legends or Marvel Ultimate Alliance which is a good thing. It will not Scratch my customize your hero MMO itch but it will soothe my must have a comic book game itch.
X-Men Legends was an amazing game. -
I cried almost non-stop the first day or two and then I became physically ill from the experience. I slept in the entire day, got a huge headache it was rough. Now I'm avoiding almost all of the threads here because I don't want to start up again.

Last I heard, they have increased the staffing levels up a bit (down from the couple of hundred that they had initially) but still "tight knit".
For me, I always had a view point that there would be PvP involved... however, i do believe that they would be *seriously* dumb to make it non consensual open world PvP...
*shrugs* As i said, it is still early days for the MMO really, and I honestly believe that CCP will try to make it the best that they can (and not as a themepark style MMO, but more of the sandbox MMO that it should be).

And to be honest, it does make sense to run the game world like Ultima Online, and not like City of Heroes.. especially as it *is* based on a game where player/player interaction is *very* important (unless you go for the hack/slash style of the tabletop... valid, but different).
Especially seeing as they also slashed the development team of the game to refocus themselves on Eve Online and Dust 514.

I haven't watched the videos in sometime but I remember them saying that they are starting with the original Masquerade Clans. They will expand on the non vampire stuff later.
DCUO is...meh OK but I felt that it was lacking compared to City of Heroes : /. No MMO's for me until the WoD. -

This will be my 3rd MMO Closure that I would have gone through... guess my heart has toughened up over the years as a result.
I will probably bounce around a little bit in GW2 (had already purchased it, might as well still play it) and World of Warcraft (have real life friends who play it).

To be honest, I have made lots of friends out of game from this game, and I feel that we will still stick together no matter the games we head to.
Side note: It kinda sucks that this announcement went out just a week before the EU City of Heroes player meet commences >.<
So far World of Darkness is still going through with working on their new upcoming MMO so that will be my new MMORPG...shame it's not due until 2013 or 2014 : /
I can't stomach GW2...ever. The New Final Fantasy Patch looks kinda cool...might go there just because I have friends there.
All of the other Heroes games are Rubbish. I might consider The Secret World though...it's looks amazing and will somewhat feed my COH fix. -
