Quote:Ah thank you Seldom! When Hawk Mentioned the Kismet Proc I became confused.Kismet's "+6%" accuracy" is mislabeled, it is actually +6% tohit.
Still with the Proc and Tactics I was only able to get +17% To Hit....hrmm. Even with Alpha Help I was only able to get it to 18%... -
He also spoke about doing something with the sets that don't have snipes in them...he said that he will try to figure something out once I24 Beta Drops.
-
Hawk is looking forward to feedback when BETA drops and he said that if needed be changes an be made to address Mezz issues or adding more to make Blasters more appealing.
He also spoke of Changing the way Mezz works with NPC's but that sounds like a lot of work and something that will have to be pushed to like I26 or something.
EDIT: I think that the new changes pushes you to not use your build up powers at the same time if you want to get more mileage out of your snipes.
Question. Is there another way of increasing your To Hit? Through enhancements or whatnot? I know Tactics adds around 10% Sorry, I normally don't focus on To Hit. -
Quote:Ah yes and to this day I cannot imagine life without Zero 7...I think that she put them on the map.I might also regret it if I'm not hearing this song.

Gaming, Comics, Reading...I'm better off than a lot of my family and friends.

She's not the only one who bugs the living snot out of Synapse as well as a few other Devs.
I'm just glad that they have yet to block me lol. -
Bah! So much for me following up after Arcana...I will just set my Derp right here and be on my way lol.

Quote:That reminds me...do you guys remember this?We don't know how effective Amon's ability is. It could be a specialized pressure point technique that just needs another pressure point technique to fix. Or it could just wear off in a few months or a year. Which makes the most sense since the Equalists use technology and Chi Blocking to achieve their goals. Chi Blocking wears off after a few minutes. Amon's technique could be an advanced Chi Blocking technique or a technology enhanced Chi Blocking technique since he is giving off a Doctor Doom vibe. We never see his face or body and his organization uses mystical and technological abilities. Of course, this is all pure speculation.

Quote:Wolvie is a little boring you have to admit but I can see why others like him. Nothing is wrong with you not liking a popular character.I'm calling bull on this. "I am going to look cool and edgy by saying I never liked one of the more popular comic book characters and saying he is terrible!" Reel it in, hombre. Its all good and fine to say you don't like a character, but tht doesn't make them terrible.
I later grew to respect him once the writers learned how to show off his abilities more...which they have done with other rmutants like X-23 and Sabertooth.
They also need to do the same with Beast I RARELY see beast use his powers...like ever lol.
I think Marrow had good potential actually it's just the execution was all wrong...much like Cyclops. -
I hope Lin is able to Enter the picture again...I admit that I was more than "A little upset" when he bending was taken away.

Quote:Oh darn...well Plant is still safe! If the Proc worked in Bonfire it would Make Fire Control even more interesting! I was referring to the Overwhelming Force Proc. It's a pet summon and from what I've been told, the KB proc is ineffective in those type of powers.
[....wait, which KB proc?]
-
My Stalker took a different approach. He's at 44% defense without any incarnie debuffs. I decided to focus on +HP, and +Regen to cover my **** when things get troublesome...I'm not going to post my build.

Quote:*blink* Impressive!Well, if you want to get crazy, you could build an Ninja Blade/Electric Armor Stalker past Incarnate softcap S/L/AoE. Without Divine Avalanche (which would just serve to make it ridiculous levels of defense).

I think we need to do 4 tests...
1) Grade sets by themselves vanilla also include APP and PPP combos.
2) Grade sets with Procs or possible incarnate content.
3) Grade sets according to Secondaries that best suits the Primary or sets that pushes the damage limit of the Primary to it's peak.
4) Discuss/Debate which combo would work in what situation.
Has Anyone tested how the KB proc works with Bonfire yet? If it work how it think it does then Plant has some scary competition. -
I think Dark Control hurts a lot due to its low debuff values on a Dominator compared to how it performs on a Controller. Also, Doms don't have a Debuff secondary to back it up and /Dark Assault doesn't fill in that gap really.
Dark Control (and Dark Assault) struggles until you throw +Recharge and +End at it. Engulfing Darkness is impressive alone b/c it's like a Dark Version of PSW and you get it WELL before level 38. Night Fall is the one power in the set that tends to rub many players the wrong way....but every other power in the set is pretty awesome.
My Issue with the pairing is the fact that I end up out of END if I really cut loose with the combo I also don't feel as if my soft controls are up often enough until the late-late game.
TL;DR- Great sets but you have to be willing to suffer for quite a few levels. It's not as easy or forgiving as Plant/Thorns. -
yo know...you hear something new everyday lol.

Quote:That could work.I guess another trick is spelling out numbers.
Thinking about it, Ophite kinda sounds weird to me. Zerophite kinda has a nice ring to it though...and it has ophite in it
Nah, I stuck with Ophite. It's a /Poison Corr, he's a Snake Priest which is slightly making jest of the actual Ophian Priests. He's also green like Ophite the Stone. I guess Zeroophite would kinda fit though since genesis and the number zero both signify the beginning in a way. -

Quote:Ah, well that's awesome! And it wouldn't give me any problems trying to invite him to a team.
Again it depends on if you really have to have that name! Also, if you really care if that they can tell that you changed the letter to a number. Most of the time they will understand and think nothing of it. 95% of the time you can think up something different that's just as awesome. -
Haha, it does lol but that's the point when you have to ask yourself:
Do you mind being a bit more aggressive when looking for teams to compensate with the difficulty of the way your name is spelled?...Just so you can get that name you really wanted? Do you really have to have it that bad?
Or are you willing to think of something else?
You can also do that trick with the letter O. One of my toons is named 0phite instead of 'Ophite' beceause the name was taken. I had to have 0phite instead of Ophite at the time because it was my Global name and I wanted to have a toon on that server with my exact Global Name... for example how Zombie Man and Airhead? are actual toons, Posters and Glob- well you get the idea.
There's even more desperate tricks like Using "Tha" or "Da" instead of "The" with names...also you can consider L337 speak...mind you I have only used Leet speak on my freakshow-based toons.
I try to exhaust all of the above options before I think up another name if I am REALLY fond of it. I refuse to use underscores or xX SnakeBooty Xx. *sticks nose up in air* hmph! -
I love names with I or L in them it gives you the opportunity to do so much with a name if it was taken. For example if Alarm has been taken I can just spell it with an upper case I so "AIarm". It looks the same in game which is awesome. If someone has taken that as well I just think up something else...my apologies if this was already brought up in this thread but I couldn't get pass page 4 without skipping to the end lol.
-
Well PPD Ghost can be annoying...especially when it stacks? I think they can stack I haven't fought them in quite some time. They also love using glue arrow. You want to talk about unfair baddies what about an ALL COT GHOST MISH! *shudder* It's down right painfulll when you are in the low to mid levels.
Stunners are super annoying BUT I don't think that they should be nerfed. Just look out for them. They are very sneaky because...
- They avoid closing in/melee range...which is interesting since Freakshow LOVE to get in your face.
- They try to take out the troublesome one on team...and they do succeed since most toons don't have protection from -end mod.
- Their Static Field used to do damage, -end, sleep and slow...that my friend was tough times lol.
Just take them out first and keep your distance! If you're a melee toon try to use your blackwand or nemesis staff to defeat him or ask the Ranged toons on the team to keep their eyes peeled and to take him out as soon as possible. -
Quote:I think that Dark Control is also a great combo with poison. That's what I'm hoping! Got a good name, great costume, and good backstory. Just hoping the combo isn't terribad.
Quote:Tater I am glad you posted this because I have a DP/Poison who is perhaps the most "challenging" toon I've ever made. She is so "challenging" that I am determined to get her to 50 and make her Uber. After reading everyone elses critique about poison in general i was feeling a touch downhearted however your post made me feel better!
Could I ask your opinion on one point? My build went with five Unbreakable Constraints in Poison Trap because I am a huge recharge junkie and wanted the 10% recharge bonus - but as my corr is only 28 I havent tried it yet. Would you say that filling poison trap with procs will get me more mileage than Unbreakbables? Baring in mind that the ONLY reason I went with unbreakable is because I want that recharge!
Well, I would focus on getting your recharge from other sources i.e. slotting other powers with purples. Poison Trap is very important (and deadly!!) and you want it to be able to perform at its utmost ability. Nothing is wrong with throwing in a Recharge IO in there but you want to stuff it with procs so it can work its magic...more procs will easily out perform more recharge...especially since at the recharge cap there wouldn't be much of a difference...and even when you are not at the recharge cap if you have 2-3 traps out at once that means that you will have more chances for the other procs to fire like Mag +2 Hold, 170+ pts of fire dmg and -30 res!
If it bothers you that much though slot it with a complete set pre-50 but make sure to add an extra proc in there for more damage.
