This definitely happens on Infinity, too. You'll spend several minutes on the CoH or CoV loading screen--literally, I timed it--while hearing things going on around the outside door, like people landing to use it or enemies fighting nearby. Eventually, the map picture + hint will flash briefly as the loading bar fills in a couple of seconds, then the entire team will burst through the inside door like the raiders at the end of a Rikti Ship Raid. Then one person says "sorry, long load times today" and four others immediately respond "like that for a while now."
ITF's "lag hill/valley" is now lag map for most, it used to be one of my fave tf's but now? The lag is so bad i hate it

Go there if your still having probs, some smart person said to try deleting the checksum file and it works for most people -

One thing you could try doing that might work is to delete the Coh.checksum file (located at either C:\Program Files\City of Heroes\Coh.checksum or C:\Program Files (x86)\City of Heroes\Coh.checksum on Windows (32bit and 64bit Windows, respectively). That should force it to get a new checksum and hopefully force it to patch the client.

i've put in a support ticket but would just mention that my partner's pc "saw" the patch and downloaded it so hes happily playing on union atm whereas im still sitting here trying to get mine to work (and no he wont let me on his pc)

I play a Dwarf/Nova form PB and i have the new pack. Really it's not too bad to drop out of a form, hit secondary mutation, throw a team mate a mystic then hit a form button. Secondary Mutation goes over to your form like a mystic fortune does and the +hp power and the end reduct power (not ingame atm so can't recall what the names are) so really, whats the big deal?
Get on with it and enjoy what you have. The new pack isn't just Secondary Mutation it's got a lot of other cool stuff in too.
My 2 cents.
EDIT: ok, just been on my pb and yup seems like im wrong, secondary mutation don't carry over to a form (*slaps self due to tiredness/illness when writing this post originally) -
I've always had to drop a form if i wanted to Mystic Fortune someone else, i assumed it'd be the same for the new mutation power though i havent been on my kheld since i bought the pack.
Also Castle, most of us call Dwarf form Lobster not Crab, we sound too much like an arachnos soldier calling us crab XD -

Unless you're doing the mayhem mish for a new contact...why not have one of you just say "no thanks" when you go to the broker? Then you won't have to do the mayhem twice.

Rather than hiding, you should have put them on ignore, or even better, reported their behavior. That certainly qualifies as harassment. I would say it's in the best interests of everyone to do that, too. I've had people ask to be PL'd, but never abusively. We do not need to see that kind of behavior spread.
But any case i do tend to get these tells a lot no matter what sort of 50 im on. Hah even today on a lvl 23 i got asked by a lvl 1 in atlas to PL him...i seem to attract newbs.... *sigh* -

Well if a 69 month vet is a noob....what am I a lowly 12 month vet? Seriously though, I farm enough with my fire/kin troller and EA/SS brute (both 50's) and I actually LIKE doing the content with my other alts..... I've had random tells asking me if i want to run +4/x8 missions on my alts and whenever i say no thanks i tend to get "rude-ish" tells back.
Hell just last night I had a lvl38 blaster send a tell to my lvl50 stone tank saying I had to PL him cause i was a 50, I replied with the fact I was doing SSTF4 with a full team so couldn't then got screamed at in tells to invite him to the tf or he'd make me pay.....
At that point I'd just had enough and because I don't like to ignore people due to being a mod on one of our global channels I had to go on hide, even then I was still getting offline messages from the guy which were pretty rude.
*sigh* the mentality of some players hey? -
Bots for a first time MM, much easier to control as Psylenz said. Depending on whether you go solo or not the secondary is up to you, my bots MM is /FF and my thugs MM is/Psn and i love both secondarys

Thanks for that, I'll try and get a build done in mids later on and post it up for people to tear apart and tell me where I went wrong.
Most of my slotting went on my nova/dwarf forms early on but a few slots might be worth switching again.
Build i came up with but i still think it needs work, I'm usually pretty good with Mids but PBs have me stumped...also Mids don't seem to have energy flight but im putting a freebird stealth in there.

OK, I've been looking about but thought I might as well post here for some help and advice.
Right now my PB is level 37 and rising but I need some help with a build. In my minds eye I want a nova/dwarf capable PB, I don't want human because of a concept idea so the 2 forms will be what I'm in most of the time. I enjoy being a "dwarf-tank" cause in a pinch I can rid any squishes of agro and hold em off while the team wipes the floor with the mob, I also enjoy being in nova to blast away when agro management isn't needed.
That being said on normal ATs I take health/stam and seeing how khelds in a form don't use these I have no idea how to slot for effectiveness.
I have to take some human powers I know and I want to make sure I have the human heals/end recovery/rez so I have a fall back option if I'm hit too much. Also found that photon seekers can be fun to hit then go Dwarf for that little bit of extra damage but I'm not too fussed if I have that power or not if it turns out bad at level 50. Also was looking into light form but as I'm not high enough yet I don't know if its a good form or not to take.
I don't wish to have a multi-billion inf build, something cheap would be nice though I can stretch to LOTG recharges/Numi procs/Miracle procs/Per Shift as I have a few of these in my base's IO store. Also will have quite a few merits for random rolls when she hits 50 as I do a lot of TF's for the lovely xp i get.
Any and all helpful suggestions/builds/advice are greatly appreciated. -

Honestly if you've got a question ask us on the forums, yeah you might get 1 or 2 trolls but most of us are happy enough to lend our help when its needed/wanted. I'd rather see a nice post asking for suggestions/help then some of the more recent posts like "i want to be thanked for sb every time i use it on you".

Also from sounds of things this guide really has no useful info for the current state of play, if hes spending time with his family he won't be playing on CoX now would he?
Save your cash, ask us in the forums, join your servers main chat channels, but ultimately HAVE FUN on your preferred toon. Yes getting to 50 can be a grind but its not about that, its about the journey and not how quick you can make 50 (i have a lvl 15 that's been that way for over 10 months cause i have altitus lol)
