Well i dont think it will be next thursday. From what I can remember from the invasion only those eye thingies and the rularu brutes came through the portals. But there are plenty of other type of rularu like the wisps and those strange little flying things with wings. Of course all of these are in the shadow shard if you want to see them, you have to be high level though to get in. But now it seems as though when you enter the shadow shard you are actually invading thier world. Im hoping that in the future the devs make them invade us again, but this time with a bigger force!

I think it was the whole thing. Seven months later and no new invasion. They just sit in thier home world until we go invade them.

I like this idea too. But it looks like its going to be a "later rather than sooner" feature. Unless you consider half a year to be soon. Im guessing this is on the back burner for issue 5?

Mercenary: Kill X hero, or Y villain, or Z mercenary. Non consensual pvp, outdoors only. Horde your rewards. Create mercenary groups. Buy pets. Mercenary hideouts.
Downside: Mercenary loses = perma death char.

I feel kinda.... used... Didn't I PM you about an idea just like this a few weeks ago, as well as cook this up in a thread with someone else just before that?? The one thing that would eliminate a ton of frusteration with the game...

That was you and I warborg. Looks like the devs have worked out the kinks. How much inf is it gonna cost? What kind of drop rate is it going to have? Is it going to be sold by contacts? Is there a 3 tier scale like all other inspirations? Is there a resistance timer after the insp is used?

Starbuck isn't just a name, Starbuck is an integral cog in the universe of Battlestar Galactica. The character was created by Glen Larson to be specifically played by Dirk Benedict who, in turn, based his performance on James Garners' "Maverick". Dirk Benedict was and is Starbuck. I mean---would you want to see a female actress as Clark Kent/Superman? How about a female lead in the next Spiderman movie? Get my drift? Ron Moore's argument that he just wanted strong female characters' is a flimsy one at best! Has he never heard of Athena or Cassie or Sheba? I mean he's already turned the Galactica universe upside down. Why have a Starbuck at all? Actually, now that I think about it, there really isn't a character NAMED Starbuck in the new show (fiasco). An actress named Katee Sackhoff is playing Kara Thrace who happens to have a "Call Sign" that is Starbuck. Same goes for a character with the "Call Sign" of Boomer. So much for the mythological references that everyone loved from the original. They've been reduced to "Call Signs". Maverick and Goose anyone?
