i guess i will get used to it if i play long enough and use it from low lvls

That's pretty much it - looking back, I don't know how I ever played without binds, they're immensely useful little things.
If you have any questions about using/making binds, someone should be able to help you on the Player Questions board. -
Okay, got around to constructing those binds (you can c&p them into CoX, thankfully). All reference to numbers in the italicised explanations refer to numbers on the Numpad:
/bind numpad0 "powexec_name Warmth" - activates your PBAoE heal when 0 is pressed
/bind numpad1 "unselect$$team_select 1$$powexec_name Cauterize"
- heals teammate no.1 when 1 is pressed
/bind numpad2 "unselect$$team_select 2$$powexec_name Cauterize"
- heals teammate no.2 when 2 is pressed
/bind numpad3 "unselect$$team_select 3$$powexec_name Cauterize"
- heals teammate no.3 when 3 is pressed
/bind numpad4 "unselect$$team_select 4$$powexec_name Cauterize"
- heals teammate no.4 when 4 is pressed
/bind numpad5 "unselect$$team_select 5$$powexec_name Cauterize"
- heals teammate no.5 when 5 is pressed
/bind numpad6 "unselect$$team_select 6$$powexec_name Cauterize"
- heals teammate no.6 when 6 is pressed
/bind numpad7 "unselect$$team_select 7$$powexec_name Cauterize"
- heals teammate no.7 when 7 is pressed
/bind numpad8 "unselect$$team_select 8$$powexec_name Cauterize"
- heals teammate no.8 when 8 is pressed
/bind alt+numpad1 "unselect$$team_select 1$$powexec_name Thaw"
- casts Thaw on teammate no.1 when Alt & 1 are pressed
/bind alt+numpad2 "unselect$$team_select 2$$powexec_name Thaw"
- casts Thaw on teammate no.2 when Alt & 2 are pressed
/bind alt+numpad3 "unselect$$team_select 3$$powexec_name Thaw"
- casts Thaw on teammate no.3 when Alt & 3 are pressed
/bind alt+numpad4 "unselect$$team_select 4$$powexec_name Thaw"
- casts Thaw on teammate no.4 when Alt & 4 are pressed
/bind alt+numpad5 "unselect$$team_select 5$$powexec_name Thaw"
- casts Thaw on teammate no.5 when Alt & 5 are pressed
/bind alt+numpad6 "unselect$$team_select 6$$powexec_name Thaw"
- casts Thaw on teammate no.6 when Alt & 6 are pressed
/bind alt+numpad7 "unselect$$team_select 7$$powexec_name Thaw"
- casts Thaw on teammate no.7 when Alt & 7 are pressed
/bind alt+numpad8 "unselect$$team_select 8$$powexec_name Thaw"
- casts Thaw on teammate no.8 when Alt & 8 are pressed
/bind shift+numpad1 "unselect$$team_select 1$$powexec_name Fire Shield"
- casts Fire Shield on teammate no.1 when Shift & 1 are pressed
/bind shift+numpad2 "unselect$$team_select 2$$powexec_name Fire Shield"
- casts Fire Shield on teammate no.2 when Shift & 2 are pressed
/bind shift+numpad3 "unselect$$team_select 3$$powexec_name Fire Shield"
- casts Fire Shield on teammate no.3 when Shift & 3 are pressed
/bind shift+numpad4 "unselect$$team_select 4$$powexec_name Fire Shield"
- casts Fire Shield on teammate no.4 when Shift & 4 are pressed
/bind shift+numpad5 "unselect$$team_select 5$$powexec_name Fire Shield"
- casts Fire Shield on teammate no.5 when Shift & 5 are pressed
/bind shift+numpad6 "unselect$$team_select 6$$powexec_name Fire Shield"
- casts Fire Shield on teammate no.6 when Shift & 6 are pressed
/bind shift+numpad7 "unselect$$team_select 7$$powexec_name Fire Shield"
- casts Fire Shield on teammate no.7 when Shift & 7 are pressed
/bind shift+numpad8 "unselect$$team_select 8$$powexec_name Fire Shield"
- casts Fire Shield on teammate no.8 when Shift & 8 are pressed
/bind ctrl+numpad1 "unselect$$team_select 1$$powexec_name Plasma Shield"
- casts Plasma Shield on teammate no.1 when Ctrl & 1 are pressed
/bind ctrl+numpad2 "unselect$$team_select 2$$powexec_name Plasma Shield"
- casts Plasma Shield on teammate no.2 when Ctrl & 2 are pressed
/bind ctrl+numpad3 "unselect$$team_select 3$$powexec_name Plasma Shield"
- casts Plasma Shield on teammate no.3 when Ctrl & 3 are pressed
/bind ctrl+numpad4 "unselect$$team_select 4$$powexec_name Plasma Shield"
- casts Plasma Shield on teammate no.4 when Ctrl & 4 are pressed
/bind ctrl+numpad5 "unselect$$team_select 5$$powexec_name Plasma Shield"
- casts Plasma Shield on teammate no.5 when Ctrl & 5 are pressed
/bind ctrl+numpad6 "unselect$$team_select 6$$powexec_name Plasma Shield"
- casts Plasma Shield on teammate no.6 when Ctrl & 6 are pressed
/bind ctrl+numpad7 "unselect$$team_select 7$$powexec_name Plasma Shield"
- casts Plasma Shield on teammate no.7 when Ctrl & 7 are pressed
/bind ctrl+numpad8 "unselect$$team_select 8$$powexec_name Plasma Shield"
- casts Plasma Shield on teammate no.8 when Ctrl & 8 are pressed
Those binds essentially make healing and buffing a simple matter of button pressing. Hope they help, or at least come in useful to someone. -
If you're up to using your numpad, there are a few (i.e. shedloads of) keybinds that could certainly help take the sting out of buffing/healing. If that's something you'd be interested in, I'll get to work on the binds for you. (Caveat: If you're not used to binds, they may seem a little overwhelming.)
More generally, I find that setting the buff icons to "blink" when they're running out is a useful visual cue. -

whichever drain it was it brought my End to a zero and stopped me regainning it

short curcuit drains and prevents it from recovering afterwards, with that, power sink and most attacks doing some drain once its at 0 you are not getting it back unless dead of carrying blues
[/ QUOTE ]
KS is talking about Heat Exhaustion (/Thermal)- which completely halts Recovery and saps you down to 0. (FYI, it'll also eat through the base +Recovery of Elude and related powers.) No need for all the continued sapping - it's a one-shot deal, and it lasts for an age. As Plight notes, however, it is only ST. -

Vengeance: I'm not sure this works on minions either, so the slotting seems a little OTT for a PvE build.

[ QUOTE ]
Dump Vengance and get Air Superiority instead of Hover
[/ QUOTE ]
Vengeance doesn't work on minions, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't take it in a team PvE build, especially not if you're planning on using your MM for RSF runs. If you're using it for the latter, optimal slotting would be 3 defbuff, 3 tohitbuff - the heal is just the cherry on top, not really worth considering when nothing can touch you.
I'd dump Maneuvers though, it's got no massive synergy with either Ninjas or Poison. In replacement, I'd probably pick up Hasten - but I'm a speed freak. With the extra slot gained, I'd pop an EndRdx in Fly, then maybe think about picking up AirSup as Weez suggested.
As for the niggly bits, I'd also swap out the EndRdx in Envenom and Weaken for Rechg, seeing as you have Stamina. If you're planning on any PvP/RSF runs, you might consider slotting Call Genin 3 Acc 3 Dam, as they do spawn a level below you and suffer the appropriate accuracy penalty, and you can't be sure they'll always be in range of Tactics, or that you'll always have Tactics available (in case of being mezzed etc., it's always useful to have henchies who can function just as well without you as with you). -
[ QUOTE ]
Fitness? for an MM? Rubbish. 3 leadership powers with an EndRec slot and you're laughing.
[/ QUOTE ]
YMMV, but I get far more from taking Stamina with my /Dark MM than I ever would from taking Leadership in its stead, but that's really a matter of playstyle. (Of course, you /Traps sorts have a lot of spare endurance to play with.) -
If you stick about on Test after Squished on Sunday, I'll try to give you a decent scrap with my Robots/Dark MM, Plighty. I'm not really one for duels, nor am I massively fond of the Arena, and I share the reservations of the above re: setup time in a duel situation - but I'll give it a shot.

The way you presented your statement seemed to me to be somewhat misleading, almost as if you were ignoring criticals entirely. If that wasn't what you were meaning, then we're both on the same page, so no problem.
SS, however, still suffers from Rage downtime which causes its own issues - issues that Scrappers never suffer from. -
[ QUOTE ]
Most PvP kills come from burst damage, if we're talking exclusively about tanks and scrappers anyway.
[/ QUOTE ]
Well, I can honestly say that none of my Scrapper's kills have come from burst damage, if only because Claws doesn't have any.
Saying "Most PvP kills come from X" is an unquantifiable statement. Successful burst damage results in kills because there's less chance to recover from it, is a fair enough statement; certain Tank builds have better burst damage than Scrappers in high level PvP is also fair comment. To completely ignore the benefits of chain damage over burst damage, however, is a little myopic in my opinion.
I don't really want to derail the topic, though, so I'm happy to leave my thoughts at that. -
[ QUOTE ]
Its easily possible to go a whole duel with 0 crits.
[/ QUOTE ]
And it's possible to chain 3 Crits in a row, such is the nature of the beast. My point is that you cannot ignore (or cannot fairly ignore) criticals when comparing Tanker vs Scrapper damage. -
[ QUOTE ]
As he says, excluding criticals, my INV/SS outdamages my scrappers.
[/ QUOTE ]
But why would you exclude criticals if you're trying to make an objective statement? You might not be able to rely on them, but they certainly play a significant part of Scrapper damage output. -
Pencil Antithetix and Aphotica in for Friday, please.
-
Given there's not been any confirmed line-up for the Sunday early-afternoon run and I don't know whether I've been pencilled in for it or not, I'm going to have to pull out Antithetix and Aphotica, as our sleeping schedule doesn't work well with possibilities and maybes.
We'll still be available for the Monday run, though.
-
In order of preference, Antithetix (50 Robo/Dark) and Aphotica (50 Ice/Dark) will be available:
Monday, 1600 (best day for us, really)
Sunday, 1230 (not ideal but possible, working nights 1900-0700 over the weekend).

Other people might not appreciate it quite so much, but for my money, you've really captured the persona of Doctor Gonzo as he exists in my head. Thanks, Alvan - and very well done. -

Looking for Acc/Mez, Dam/Acc, Dam/Mez, Dam/Range, DamRes/End. -
I usually go 2/2/2 on mezzes too; I kept the 3rd recharge in there based on LP's original build, and haven't got my Plant Dom up to SOs, so don't have any experience of what the recharge/duration is like. I had also been drinking quite heavily when I came up with the build I posted.

FIVE slots in Seeds of Confusion and SIX in Fly - what kind of a sick ....btw apparently Swift boosts fly speed now.
[/ QUOTE ]
Yeah, I made that build last night before I read about the changes; Fly is getting an endurance reduction as well, so that final slot in Fly can be switched back into wherever it's most desired (but I'd slot a recharge in an attack before adding a ConfDur in Seeds). -
As promised, a build I knocked up with some tweaks :

Slotting might be a bit wonky too, but I think it's got all the essentials worked in, and should be more level-friendly. I always try to work in Hasten ASAP on my Doms in order to get Dom up as fast as possible - though you could swap it with Spore Burst to make for easier levelling if you're soloing.
Psi Scream is a great attack, and one of the better attacks for -Recharge in the entire set. Leadership is a great boost to any RSF team, with Vengeance being the icing on the cake; seeing as you wouldn't be picking up the AoE hold or Immob until the end of the build anyway, I really don't think you'll miss them. In any event, wide-area AoE attacks + SL54 heroes = insta-gibbed. Poisonous Ray is there for similar reasons - you might not notice the -res/-def when fighting normal mobs, but it will be evident when fighting tougher bosses, AVs and in PvP.
