I would like to just jump on the bandwagon and toss in another demand that Samuraiko be hired. She seems to do a right good bit with just the things available to her in her free time, even without the funds often bestowed upon one via stable employment. Consider their potential given resources and official backing. Besides, talents deserve jobs...and I understand shes in want of a job.

Note to self: STOP DRINKING WHEN IN A STEELCLAW THREAD!

Quote:If you went the direction *I'm* thinking you did with that whole "Soviet Chili" bit, not only is that hilarious, but difficult for me to top. Have an appearance that fits her well/you are tied to? If so, post screenie and that might inspire me.More gris for the mill!
Here's one I'll throw out there-
My main, Twicken Sisted (she used to be Chitzen Giggles before she got gen'd)
Science origin Fire/Rad controller
She's pre-i16, and I've kept her powers pretty faithful to the original fire=red, rad = green. Her trademark colors and black and red with bright green accents. Lots of horizontal stripes.
I've never thought of a good bio for her. I had some thing going about the hazards of eating 20 year old cans of Soviet chili, but nothing really popped. -
It seems stable, push it to Live...
...like yesterday. -
This post exists solely so that I may again state my elation, but also for the first time despite being around since 2005:
First. Post. After. Red. Name. -
Dr HR, something about your sig makes the pure blooded anarachist and misc red text all kinda go 3D. I've looked at it with my glasses and without. Is that intentional or are my eyes going wonky again?

The animations are freakin' sweet, and the face the camera walk is actually IMHO superior to any alternative. It is a perfect balance for each of the body types (don't get me started on the perfection of the Female walk), and great animation overall. The only hiccup I can find is walking backwards (the cool camera facing one) while walking left/right and transitioning directly to walking backwards (diagonal backwards into straight backwards). The rest of it is so good, it hurts me to even point out that itsy bitsy hiccup, and I apologize.
TL;DR - Pure Elation (pulp-less, from Concentrate) -
I am sick and tired of the [Walk] power on test. It is underpowered and costs too much endurance and there aren't enough animations and I can't carry my arrow defense bows out while using it and the devs all suck.
Also, when is Issue 17 coming out? It has been too long, and coding is so super easy. Besides, most importantly, I want it nao!
((Above post is made in jest, feeling talkative on account of excitement for Walking))
(PS-No, I could not post in the other thread, all my posts merit their own threads. Remember: +Rep) -
I, like most in this thread, generally don't find a toon compelling to play without a concept. One of my Level 40s is the rare exception, as he is a blast to play, however 40 is also about the time I finalize a character's concept which I then use to make the last bit to 50 more fun.
I don't have a screenshot handy, but can make one if it would help.
Info:
Name: Bow and Aneurysm
Origin/AT: Science Blaster (arrow/psy)
Appearance: Uses Baron set from the Magic pack heavily, mostly black, white, and tan. The hat, cape, and trim on everything is tan/khaki-ish. Pants are brown. He uses a standard longbow colored mostly black with tan grip, but is willing to change (especially with Vanguard Merits). Overall he looks sort of old-timey pilgrim-ish. Caucasian, brown hair, smug expression.
Bio thus far:
Absolutely nothing. Not even general personality, so have at it. -
This is a test

There's one more costume change emote I'd really like to see:
"Booth": a phonebooth or something similar rises up out of the ground around the character, then descends revealing the new costume. Only works on the ground.
Hey, Lightning and Twirl are both homages to known characters, why not another one?
[/ QUOTE ]
Ironically over the years this obvious "homage" costume change emote has probably been suggested more than any other one, even more than the ones we just got in this booster pack.
But that could very well be the reason why we DIDN'T get it. Sure comic geeks might be familiar with the Lightning and Spin/Twirl ones but pretty much -everyone- knows who the "phonebooth" one would be associated with.

Arc Name: Chronal Surge
ID: 4249
Author @Surgepoint
Length: 4 missions/very long
Description: Mender Silos needs some help, and not with the usual Ouroboros mending. Investigate and stop a series of time distortions with help or hindrance from time displaced friends and foes.
This arc can be tough, I used mostly enemies from existing groups mixed into a custom group to avoid some of the balancing issues common to fully custom mobs. Tossed a few customs in for spice though, so they can be a bit tough (some have Gang War). 1 Boss/EB and 1 EB/AV but with help from in-mission allies (at least 1 per mish, 4 for end mish with AV). No defeat alls, two glowies total. Custom allies based mostly off of my personal characters.
Tried to make interesting arc, third mission has battles with "Out of Time" vs. "My Other Custom Group I Won't Name Here", but they tend to wipe out the Out of Time group usually before you see them. If you know how to get around that, please tell! Did my best to catch all grammar errors and such. All feedback will be used to improve and tweak until as perfect as possible. -

I'm at work anyway. Hey devs, will you hold off pushing that button until about 5:30 ECT, for me?

Joystiq: Finally, looking beyond Issue 13, we're interested to know what concrete plans you have in place for the following Issue.
Posi: Issue 14 is all about the Mission Architect. Issue 15 will be centered around the Fifth...

...Anniversary of City of Heroes. [Note: The MMO's 5th anniversary will be April 28, 2009.]
Anyone else notice this?
[Edit: Obviously so. Slow Surge is slow.] -
Oh hai, I am Surgepoint and I will be one of your Server Reps this evening. Feel free to contact me here on the forums on in-game as my global handle @Surgepoint. To clarify my position on some issues:
<ul type="square"> [*]Scrappers flip out and kill things, srsly. [*]"Kill" means "arrest" (not really, but don't let the PPD hear otherwise) .[*]Cookies are awesome. [*]The cake is a lie, because I ate it first. Buttercream frosting is my weakness. [*]Surgepoint has an inherent 100% resistance to Drama damage called "Insightful Mellowness". [*]Product may contain ego. No more than one per customer. Void where Kheldians.[/list] -
2nd post after a red name!
This will be awesome, I have several toons at the brick wall. Now I can finally get a 2nd 50! -
My input on this is as follows.
Anyone remember that video of a kid flipping out because he got a Nintendo 64 for Christmas? ("OMG NINTENDO 64!!!!!")
Take that, replace the kid with me, and have me screaming "OMG ISSUE 11!!!!!" -
I don't often /sign, unless I think there is a way that the Devs *might* be able to pull off if they like it. This seems possible, just requires lots of number crunching and balancing and all that. The Devs we have could possibly pull this off, and in a reasonable fashion that would only cause minor "DDDOOOOOOOMMM"ing. (Even if they wanted it would likely have to be "coming soon(tm)")

This is secretly a plan to get rid of the war walls and make paragon one whole city! Also, we will steal more Rikti tech and it will effect game powers and things like that.
