Well it's a good thing you're Not Epsilon, because Epsilon is only #36, which sucks.

Sorry mac, but I think you're wrong. I tested widow's Slash vs bane's shatter a while ago, and they were very close....I think Slash may even be slightly stronger. And I've been playing my widow a lot lately, using both slash from hide and SA. SA is without any doubt stronger. I think if you do SA to placate to shatter, it would maybe do more because of SA's -20% res, but I don't have placate so I haven't tested it.
-
Barb swipe does more damage and recharges instantly. But it's somewhat DoT, and it's a fairly long animation. So overall lunge is probably better because it's much quicker.
-
Can't help you with the time, but as far as heroes, you still have the controller option, which is a lot better. Ice blast is just horrible in PvP now for all AT's, and defenders being the weakest AT....you get the idea.
-
That power is the only reason to even play a VEAT. Definitely more valuable than placate. Even without critting (it can't), I'm pretty sure it'll do more damage than critting shatter. I know it does more than night widow Slash...and I think that's pretty similar to shatter.
Really, if you're gonna play a gimp toon, at least take the one really good power you can get. I really like the Slash+SA combo on my widow, and I'm sure a bane would be almost identical. -
I use SO's on mine and I definitely have end problems too. But considering that as a tank, you shouldn't really be using more than like 2-3 attacks at a time, it's pretty easy to manage.
-
If you're too noob to PvP, you definitely don't want to be playing a defender. It's just about the most gimp AT in PvP currently. Just as there's no reason to play a brute because scrappers/tanks are better, there's no reason to play a def, since trollers/corrs are better.

On my BS/regin, I rely on webnade. It makes getting in range for a headsplitter fairly easy.

No. Defenders are bad. They have no access to hibernoob, like every other squishy does. Which means you absolutely have to take phase. And their damage is fairly bad too. Basically a corruptor can do absolutely anything a defender can do, but the corr can do it better.

Hey flea...I have one correction of my own regarding that. From what I remember, PvP really wasn't that active when arenas went live. It was totally off the hook on the test server BEFORE the issue went live. There were just hundreds of people in the arena 24/7.
Then when it went live, I was actually really disappointed. I came home expecting to PvP, and saw a completely empty arena on Freedom. Gave it about a week, and didn't see any activity....so I gave up on it. That's when I made the biggest mistake of my PvP "career" in CoH lol. I figured PvP wouldn't go anywhere, so I used my last respecs to respec all my toons back into PvE builds. Literally like 5 minutes after I was done respeccing my last toon, I got an invite from a friend to be one of the founding members of Tribute.....and I declined. Still kinda regret that hehe. -
Wow. This is one of the most amazing things I've ever read on these forums.
-
That's always been the essence of CoH PvP. Not just in zones, but even more so in competitive PvP. Teaming up is in many cases literally the only way of getting kills...especially if the target is buffed.
Comparing a MMO to comic books is pointless. They have nothing in common at all. -
Quote:That doesn't make much sense because barrier is actually one of the top players left. I'll give you el chido...he is really bad.You have bad barrier and that El chido dude i read about. I call it even
Also, you make it sound like Tokyo is wrong just because he didn't play on Justice. Well, you don't have to drive a Geo Metro to know it's a worse car than a Lexus. It's pretty common knowledge. But if it makes you happy, I played on Justice. And I will also say that its PvP is dead compared to Freedom.
It wasn't too bad like 2-3 years ago. I would go there whenever I felt like playing the game on easy mode. Even then, the difference between the average Justice player vs Freedom player was very noticeable. But as of like 1 year ago, I gave up on it completely. Any time I went to PvP, there would either be ZERO people there, or like 4 guys fight clubbing and talking mad **** to anybody that interrupted their FC.
At this point, even Virtue has more PvP, and that's saying a lot, because Virtue is dead compared to Freedom as well. -
To be honest, I don't know if any real SG's even exist anymore. No competitive PvP exists anymore, so there's not much point in having an SG. Most people just do random kickballs. Welcome to the server though!

Let's just stick to freedom. There's plenty of FC to stop there. With RV becoming so busy, sirens has become almost a constant fight club. Need to concentrate the police force on sirens.

Quote:While I can understand being a fan of your home server (I will always consider Freedom #1 in the game), you are simply wrong. You really have to look no further than the comments from macskull and conflict. I'm pretty sure they're the 2 best players from Justice left in the game. If they admit that Freedom requires more skill, you should probably listen.Justice is by far the best place for an aspiring PvPer or a seasoned professional to test thier stuff out against Justice's mightiest.
Freedom has more of everything. More bad players, more average ones, and more good ones. If really busy zone PvP (RV) isn't for you, you can always do sirens PvP, which is far less busy these days. Or arena, where you can easily do as many 1v1's as you want.
