I like katana because of the style, its easy to role play and it looks dam cool!

Lots of posts about controller/? so i will do it for you. all of them.
Radiation Emission
is a very versatile set, focused primarily on debuffing the enemies. Its best debuffs are "anchored": area-effect toggles that debuff a target and everything near that target. It also includes a couple of recovery tools, a great multi-purpose buff, and an area hold with a huge radius. Many of its good powers open early and remain useful throughout the game. Good for pets and team - only needs minimal heals.
Kinetics
as a powerset is difficult to explain. It's the odd man out among the buff/debuff sets: a defender set that offers very little actual defense. Kinetics is more oriented toward the offense. It's geared toward making both allies and combats go faster -- and never have to stop. This grab-bag set includes several powerful tools for in-combat recovery, a number of strong offense-oriented buffs, some damage debuffing for mitigation purposes, and even a couple of utility powers to make travel between combats go faster. It's a very action-oriented set. Blooms at lvl 38 with fulcrum shift its worth the wait.Speed boost - is like AB/AM/RA all in one which is very nice for everyone and its +SPD can be useful. ALSO increase denstiy gives res against knocback, mez, and smash dmg, - very handy.
Empathy
is a powerset that appears easy to grasp, but it proves to have a little more depth, with some powerful buffs in addition to its expected heal and recovery effects. It's among the most intuitive of controller secondaries, although Forcefield can be even easier to play. Empathy is somewhat reactive in nature; while you can buff in advance, healing does no good unless the target's already been hurt, so at times you'll have to be quick with the keyclick. The major problem inexperienced Empathy controllers tend to face is to put too much emphasis on healing at the expense of control; be a controller first, and a healer second, and you should find you don't need to heal so much.
Also downside having emp as second people in your team will be demanding every buff u may own and your role as a controller may be side tracked.
Forcefield
is all about two things, essentially: defense and knockback. The defense buffs are the reason most pick this powerset, and they're still considerable (despite their reduction in issue 5), though they possess the common weakness against psychic attacks. A Forcefielder can get by perfectly well by taking only the "big three" shield powers. The knockback is less useful in general, but still has some applications. Perhaps the biggest strength of this powerset is that its powerful buffs are all "fire and forget" -- with a duration of four minutes, you won't need to re-bubble teammates that often.
Storm Summoning
is somewhat difficult and often misunderstood. Used poorly, it scatters enemies randomly, resulting in massive debt. Used well, it keeps enemies off their feet and gathered up in a small area, and it makes it easier to take them down besides. The trick comes in learning to use it well; it takes more practice and experimentation than most of the other sets. Don't get discouraged if things go wrong on occasion while you learn, but don't expect an easy time if you've never played Storm before. Though it's weak at the start, it does pay off in terms of power, eventually, and it can make things much easier in both solo and team play.
Sonic Resonance
is a power set introduced in issue 5. Its main focus is on buffing or debuffing damage resistance, but it also includes a handful of controls and an anti-mez protection for your allies. Most of the powers in the set work best (or only) in a team. If you're team-oriented, though, this set is considered by many to be "Force Field but better." Resistance modification is very powerful, but the graphics and sound of these powers make some players shun them.
Hope this helped.

u should be standing around for ages in pvp for someoen to meele detoggle u , durr, simple -
I didnt read the other posts.
Having a nice argument with funk on msn about regen stalkers
he says they wnt work because they have less health
i said yes, but the healing they are capable off will be to scale
eg. if ur scrapper rehens half its health with reconstruction a stalker should do too
whats the verdict on regen stalkers?
r they good pvp? -
ITS JUST SUCH A RUSH!
i been on my blaster lui
doing my defiance but on 1hp with stealth and IR goggles on
going up to snipe someone, its just so cool
my heart rate goes insane i can see the adrenaline
and being a stalker knowing 1 wrong move will get you flatterned in a mob
its intense, so fun
i get head rushes sometimes lol -
Bonjour, Hello, Guten Tag, and what ever union people are speaking these days.
Been thinking. PvP zone for servers?
So the french can battle out the english.
The german fight the french.
Would be cool. a server wide PvP.
Language walls? would it be a problem? maybe not because its just killing. Would be a good idea though. -
Today i was playin on my scrapper and it has TP foe, i was just entering the zone seing about 10 villains right by the hero base, i tpd most of em into drones.... cos i could. plus if they wanna be near our base thats what they get.
anywho
i was just clearing area of villains and i was teleported onto a ledge by a MM, he was laughing saying he beat me at my own game
i kicked his...
lol. -
Its a tough choice firsty. SIPHON LIFE! why not? its the main reason im going for DM cos of
A. lots of fun powers to play
b. the siphon life which would give me a 4th heal
DM is kinda meh when it comes to real hardy attacks though i think
i have a lvl 30 katana/invul scrapper but the katana is ok but its not uber for me really.
i think having a BS/regen is in a way more professional?
maybe the way i was bought up in coh but i think lvl 50 BS/regen is VERY powerful n...yeah but i dunno if im too keen on the actual broadsword itself
i dunno i wil try the get em both to lvl 10 thing
why not get siphon life? -
YEAH I KNOW! like i made my stalker energy/energy aura because the blue contrasts the red in the power tray with the yellow speed powers add a hint of class, dam we r sad
-
Have been thinking about making a cool regen scrapper because I just like to fight but I dont know what to choose from.
Dark melee looks very fun to play with all the buffs etc but broadsword is tempting because its so powerful.
Althought with the dark melee I can get a 4th self heal and a terror touch
Broadsword rips apart bosses fast n easy but desnt look as good
Anyone got an opinion on the two sets?
Is dark melee strong vs bosses and luts?

when u win a fight so u do ur "yeah! its a win for me!"
and u get the response "well ur a controller, not really hard to kill people"
lol, so why start a fight then -
well what u may not know is that there wil be 3 fire/radiation controllers, AV's wil have naff accuracy to extreme and if they do hit us it wont be much and with us 3 in a group with 3 AoE heals we wil be fine, i bte in june or july when we r lvl 50 holding AV's wil be easy. the only reason u say u cant perma hold and AV is because when it turns on its defense, but if we start out holding it, it wont be able to turn it on!
-
i must say if a lvl 40 regen scrapper was in front of me as a prize and i could choose either marial arts or katana, i would choose katana because the only reason i would choose MA is cos of eagles claw :P
-
ok maybe not perma hold but super easy easy easy kill
