I didnt read the other posts.

Having a nice argument with funk on msn about regen stalkers

he says they wnt work because they have less health

i said yes, but the healing they are capable off will be to scale

eg. if ur scrapper rehens half its health with reconstruction a stalker should do too

whats the verdict on regen stalkers?

r they good pvp?

Since they have less health health regained per tick is less so they do lose as they have practically no dam res.

That being said Ive found stealth + ability to regen health is a nice combo. MoG on a stalker is in some ways far better since they already have less health anyway and can maybe avoid being hit by Psi more then a scrapper.

With Dull Pain you can hide more easily but if that were to be changed you would have no protection from hide being knocked off due to damage as other sets with defence have.

That is what Ive found out so far at least.

P.S. Regen stalkers have two toggles from secondary set as oppossed to scrapper regen's one so less likely that integration will be the 1st to drop. One real weakness for regen stalkers is however end drain as they cannot get protection from it other then stamina.

well my 40 stalker is regen and imho it rocks, it allows me to take more of a beating thanks to the 3 heals and m.o.g and i dont have to rely on AS in pve and pvp. i would highly recommend it to anyone

I have to agree I have several stalkers, for PVE i use my lvl40 claws/regen and to be perfectly honest he rocks, I havent bothered with MoG as yet (waiting for I7 before using respec), but he's solo'd on relentless since around lvl 12 when u get placate.

At lvl 30 I was soloing relentless bosses in warburg, and was able to quite happily scrap with them in between AS recharges, which is something my EM/EA stalker could never do.

Gotta say i cant imagine a better PVE stalker than a EM/Regen, silly damage+heals+dull pain i'd be surpised if a warden could last long to get to a second AS.

At the end of the day depends on your play style, i like both my stalkers equally but for different reasons.

Agreed! My EM/Regen stalker can get rid of a whole mob solo with 3 blows though is normally 3 men. Soloed The Longbow EB without any problems just need to watch your HP and get ready to Recon, DP or IH if really needed. Never took MoG myself and prolly never will I don't like the idea. If I'm going to fall, I'm falling.

stalkers that are vulnurable to fear effects and their mez protection is a toggle are cannon fodders against organised teams. Ninjitsu set is the pvp set that excels right now overally in pvp with regen set ranking last in terms of potential. U can have all the heal on the world once u get feared nothing saves you from the large sign "GANK ME" above your head.

Sure regen is sweet enough. Against foes with high acc (buffed blasters/scrappers), its prolly the best since damage mitigation is indirect.

Anyway choose whatever secondary you like, they all have pro's and con's. None are much better than the other.

Ok thats just unfair, I have a SR and he rocks, its always good with a mob attacking you, them all missing and hide returning to AS again, I've been complimented on my ability to scrap more than other stalkers but Practised Brawler protects you from almost everything Kuji-in Rin does yet the latter gets fear protection and we don't, I mean Ninjitsu already have a heal in the set which makes up for the lower defence values they get, how comes they get fear protection as well, something seems amiss

They only get knockback protection through jumping pool (and maybe kinda through fly) so dont have everything their way .

Also they dont get end drain protection, but then 9th tier power could help vs that.

Using DrRock's amazing DPS predictor, I ran some tests recently. Bear in mind this is PvE only, there are different dynamics in PvP.

Basically, as you'd expect from a low health score, regen stalkers are less survivable than regen scrappers, but they should be the highest survival-factor stalkers. Next up is ninjutsu; apparently that self-heal is quite a live-saver.

That said, I had a regen stalker in beta and was very dissapointed with her performance. That was probably because I'm used to playing a regen scrapper, and they really do rock.

hmm well mines EM/EA atm

good defense (wicked against energy)

but no ranged defense which doesnt realy matter cos in 2 seconds a blaster is going to be dead
