I hope sale #7 is something I haven't got already; I wanted the cheap magic pack but my EU account was borked at the time and I couldn't buy anything in the store....
Super science please! -
Quote:The UK price on this News page is wrong, it reads: $9.99 / 8,99 € / £12.99.It is available for purchase in the NCsoft Store, for only $9.99 / 8,99 € / £5.99!

Not really; you'd only lose your stuff if you could somehow magically transfer your character from an NA to a EU account, moving characters between servers on the same account wouldn't affect your vet rewards or boosters at all.

Quote:Two exceptions - the steam jump has loads more forward movement - the GvE jump pack is great at going up, but I find its awful for actually travelling anywhere!I notice it's pretty much the same power from the Good vs. Evil edition with one exception. It has a 30 second recharge time, while the GvE version has a 2 min 30 second recharge time!
While we're considering updates to the Steam pack - can we please have the 'belt with a clock buckle' (or steam gauge?) available for male/huge?
I really wanted that for my robot, was sad when I couldn't find it -
Quote:Just faces? Set your sights higher Liz!Ok.. so new tech makes the faces better! But will you go back and cover all older faces with the same tech?
When the new detailed colored hair came out none of the older ones got a revamp! That is way overdue.
The pack looks great, but they main thing that struck me from the article was this: Normal Maps Work In CoH.
They could reskin the entire game and make it look amazing.
They could potentially make every costume piece, every character in the game look like it was made from many, many more polygons just by switching the texture maps.
Wow. -
I tend to think of willpower as the "sheer bloody mindedness" powerset:
"Yes I might have just been shot, but I'll wrap a dirty bandage around my arm, pop a couple of aspirin and I'm good to go."
...and:
"Look, it's just a flesh-wound, stop bugging me; I have bad guys to beat up."
It's the powerset for pulp action heroes: John McClane, Indiana Jones, Flash Gordon, The Spirit.
For me, it's the natural defense for the heroes with no powers who didn't train with Ninjas. -
Quote:Not going to get many EU players disagreeing just now; count me as /signed too.Even though I wasn't affected (and I thought I would have been) I can't help but concur with this. Paying, active costumers should trump innactive, lapsed ones. It's like business 101.
Whatever else rules of engagement were chosen, paying active accounts should have had been able to keep their globals instead of allowing inactive ones to keep them.
Therefore, I support this suggestion. -
Oh dear...you have those two completely reversed.
-
-
Yes, but my forum name was automatically set to match my global name on both of my accounts, and we no longer have the ability to change our forum names, so I thought they might be linked.
-
I knew mine was gone when I made my NA account, I'd hoped it was being used on a trial account though, hohum.
I did a little shuffling and I'm now using my soon-to-expire-NA-account global as my EU global:
@Bull Throttle
I half expected the forum names to change along with the globals, aren't they linked? -
Quote:I should have posted that on my EU account; here it is, just to prove I have one!I just tried to buy this pack on my newly-reactivated EU account I get this error message:
No eligible accounts for this item could be found on your NCsoft Master Account.
...in fact I can't buy ANY booster packs and it won't let me apply the GR Complete Collection I just bought as an upgrade either.
- is this a side effect of the server list merge? -
Quote:Pish Nom, I start again everytime I roll an alt!And your right in regards to not wanting to lose your hard work, think mine sits at 2 years and 7 months of play time, I would rather not play than start that all over again
Doing it all over on the NA servers made no difference apart from the first few characters didn't have anyone to bankroll the full set of DOs at 12, but that didn't last long!
My controllers do miss Sands of Mu though...doing it old-skool now! -
I've been playing on the US servers the past month, but for old time's sake I paid for a month on my EU account - after logging on last night to grab the birthday badge on my favourite characters, I almost wish I hadn't bothered.
Where is everyone? There were loads of people on for the event nights, I thought the servers would be more lively.
Can someone tell me what passes for prime-time on Defiant & Union? I think I must have blinked and missed it.
NCSoft: Please merge the server lists! -
Quote:..the reactivation has kicked in alreadyIt's 8 hours isn't it? 5 between here and the East Coast (New York), 8 between here and the West Coast.
So 5pm then.
On the plus side we'll have it longer Sunday Night / Monday (assuming they do the usual and 'forget' to turn it off until Monday morning their time)

End of an era!
Good luck with Max ML, hope to see you over on the CO forums. -

Quote:Not just him, I don't know if this is a US/EU forum difference you've uneartherd here, or if it's just me; but I've never interpreted a wink as 'flirting'.Now everyone knows for example that if you send them a wink, you're not flirting with them.
To me it means more along the lines of: "what I just said may be taken with a pinch of salt, and may in fact be sarcasm or blatantly untrue" - rather like the wink you get from an uncle who just told you the moon is made from cheese... -

Quote:...as with many of these English/American differences... it's the fault of the French.Oh, and some other things we need to get straight:
- coupe rhymes with soup, not toupe
- a car with an extra set of seats where the trunk was is a station wagon
Actually, estate car I don't mind, but coo-pay just makes me laugh. Do you really say that in Britain, or is that just one more bit of silliness from the boys on 'Top Gear'?
Coupe is a French word, we both spell it without the accent... but you pronouce it without too; why wouldn't coupe & toupe rhyme? That makes no sense! -
