Here's Agent Shepard I took a while back. I did remake him but the only part I redid was his pants from cyborg to something more pants-like.
DP/Traps - Loyalist
Basically he's a lot different than the Primal Earth variant, rather than an enemy of Malta this guy pretty much works directly under a Malta group that deals with weapon and technology development. As a part time agreement with Neuron and to lesser extent Anti Matter; Shepard is basically a loaned agent to the PPD. -

Quote:Yup and from what I understand it's almost safe to assume that the rest of the world itself has either fallen into 3rd world country status or is decimated by past wars.Explain, "defected to the resistance," please. I think this concept would work better in a City of Heroes/villains atmosphere, versus a Praetorian setting, seeing as you know less about the canon in Praetoria than you would in City of Heroes. The world seems a lot more chaotic on the Praetorian-Earth side as far as Hamidon goes, among other things... who's to say there ever was an air force, or a japanese defense force?
Quote:In one of the Resistance arcs (on the Wardens' side, if I recall correctly) you have a chance to speak to an old homeless man in the sewer system that confirms that Praetoria was indeed built over what used to be America.
I've also seen some NPC text that mentioned something about rebuilding Tokyo, so Japan can't be a completely lost cause.
Quote:Well, assuming you're sticking with Blasters or Corruptors... Recolored Rad, Fire or Energy might be good choices, maybe Sonic if you want to work in experimental tech. Unless you're tied to the idea of kinetic weapons, in which case AR is probably the only other alternative.
For secondaries, all I can think off offhand would be a recolored /Psi; try and pass it off as an experimental energy projecter (not neccessarily psychic in origin?).
Mind you, the basic concept could be stretched to include melee combat; think of a sabotage suit sent in against the really big targets. I'd suggest DB/Inv for that, since Katana might be a bit cliche.
Story Wise, defected could almost be any number of things. Perhaps even falling in love with a woman you thought was normal only to find out she was working with the Resistance and Cole had her murdered. Or slaughtering of a large group of innocent people outside the United States during a "peace negotiation ceremony". -
Ooo there's also the way how SKing works now. Although kind of a bummer to see power leveling gone for the sake of getting "that one toon high enough" but otherwise it's a lot more convenient and reliable. No more annoying spam of getting too far and accidentally getting auto bumped down into the slaughter. There's no real action necessary besides setting up your settings in the options.

I agree, though I admit I miss the freedom of choosing what I want in my character. Something about it just seems off, not the cartoony style because frankly the polygon count is so high it's still satisfying to see a well designed character of your own on your screen. But I think it has to do with the over all lack of content as opposed to CoX, which is an unfare advantage; CoX had the same problem during it's first year.

Saber Wolf hands down: The Hate in Me By Godhead. (Cybernetic ninja/vigilante going on killing sprees targeting Malta, lost his wife and child and every day feels like he's slipping further away from those 'memories').
Seraph: This Moment by Disturbed (because he's charismatic and even in the face of all Hell it's self, he'd dive strait to the bottom circle with a smile on his face).
Sadly for some reason print screen isn't working and I got work here shortly. -
Favorite Anti-Hero you bring up eh?
"V: No, what you have are bullets, and the hope that when your guns are empty I'm no longer be standing, because if I am you'll all be dead before you've reloaded." -
Quote:I certainly hope so. I'd like to see mystic stuff and such myself, what happened to CoT and the like. I really like it, in fact so much Paragon and Rogue Isles seem so bland and uneventful if you aren't a Praetorian. :P And it's most likely set in stone since "allegedly" [spoiler Hamidon still exists out there. /spoiler]
Well, it's more or less confirmed that they're gonna let Primal Earth characters go to Praetoria. It's probably gonna go live the same time they'll add 20-50 content to the place. I think it was War Witch who said it. Not sure. So that'll just need some patience.
Quote:As for the club setting; yah, it'll be the same. But I don't think it's bad. I don't get why people have so many issues with "club settings". It's a club. People go there to drink, pick a petty fight, or try and hit on someone. That doesn't necessarily mean the quality of RP is 'bad' (whatever that means). It's just the context is what it's supposed to be.
I think the other benefit of it is, you don't really have two bars that far apart. Grant it seeing 100 people in Studio 55... it's going to be crowded >_< -
Starscream! How could I forget, I was so naive as a child!
-
Quote:What I don't like about Studio 55 is, unless there's a way to get back to Praetoria; you kind of leave it behind.
I hope Studio 55 gets popular. Then again, that's also a club settings. I've seen lots of people RP in random places in Praetoria. I saw some people in People's Park in Imperial City some time ago.
I hope it doesn't die down...
But all in all it's just another Pocket D. You'll encounter the same groups if it does become popular unfortunately, that's a given. -
Codie as in Codie Sohl of TR? In that case, hello.

Hero would have to be Iron Man. I like to think of myself as a twenty first century digital boy and running around in a suit making the wearer impervious to damage while shooting beams and stuff, sounded fun.
Villain there are so many. You have the Green Goblin who discovers the identity of Spider Man and covertly abuses that knowledge to make Peter's life hell.
You have Vergil from Devil May Cry 3 who was a tragic villain as well. Wanting power above all else because, in my opinion, he despised his father for not being there when demons killed his mother.
Villains are difficult to identify. Manly because I think a true villain is one who makes you challenge your own beliefs, it either bolsters your cause or you fall all Jedi to Sith-style. To me there's been plenty of underrated villains, over looked because they see someone like Apocalypse or such that just want to destroy. -
Have to say after getting as much done in Praet as possible and then taking my stalker hero side... I feel like I've exploited something. It's a good but naughty feeling.
-
As a person who has recently been able to return myself, I'd say it's a nice change of pace to what I remember the game flowing like. Especially if you take a Hero to villain side or vise versa. I like GR.

Probably because too many are trying to log in at once plus possibly an issue with the patch making the server more susceptible to instability.
Kind of sucks, was creating a character too only to find out closing the game didn't really save the character. -
"I've had it with these motha funk-tastic Praetorians in this motha funk-tastic Paragon."?
-
It'd be fun definitely. The only problem is the Centurians, well dunno if they've been balanced a little since my 2 year absence, would definitely eat you for breakfast if you aren't specced under damage resistance. That's what sucks about my high-stalker, he's DB/SR >_< I can dodge hits but if they hit me... good god, my tibia! -cringes-

Well I wanted to make a post for Saber Wolf, Seraph, and whoever else I felt interested in showing off but unfortunately my print screen button or rather the drivers themselves are acting up. They keep pasting black pages instead. So hopefully with the computer shut down, it'll correct itself.

-enters, pauses, sighs, shakes his head slightly as he lowers his head- I suppose everybody has their hobbies. -steadily leaves the premises-
EDIT: Whoops for a moment I thought this was "post your characters" thread >_< -
