Quote:Hate to get all pet peeve over it but I think running SOs and doing the best you can tells a great more deal of what the sets can do than running with purples. I mean, of course builds will be great after you spend billions of influence on it. Just wondering if you'd like to run a SO variant and see how those numbers turn out - that way we know where it stands at the BASIC and where it can reachNow having played both a KM/EA and a KM/Ice Armor at 50 with purpled builds (used my KM/EA copies to reslot both toons). I can tell you that they play rather similarlly.

KM makes a good combination with IA, adds a bit of damage reduction to mobs when you chain it enough so when you do get hit, it's for less.
I just hate the graphic affects. -
Quote:Wasn't on yesterday due to work but how do you "see what's coming up." in the market? They way they keep hinting at it, I expect it will be within 2-3 weeks. The up side to this model over the Anet model is the Hybrid brings in a constant stream of income. Where as Anet only had it in spurts. I honestly expect we will see new powers every month, if not more often.
-
Quote:Yeah, but the problem with that is they had to have known that sooner or later this problem would surface. Anet used to make the same claims, that every six months they'd release new chapters. Ended up waiting a year for GW:NF and then another for GW:EN. Instead of making promises that will ultimately end unkempt - they could, as Nil pointed out, influence team-blitz.They obviously want to have something new to place onto the Market. If they give it a month or two after the market arrivals, then that leaves them another 1-2 months (or howevr long they put waits in between) for them adding a new powerset.
Now we have to sit around and, if we want in on the fun, use existing sets that have already been there. With EA getting a tune up that, grant it, a lot of people are in favor of.
Personally, I just think it was an inconvenient decision. If it was a week delayed, ok I'll roll with that but by 2-3months, great you'll have teams with nothing but melees because nobody will be playing support and what not (I exaggerate but you get the idea, new stuff inspires curiosity). -
I cried a little inside when I woke up and found the update's patch notes right there on my screen upon a refresh. Very sad.
It still bugs me, like an annoying pet peeve, that they know a lot of people love this set and so they push it back AFTER I21 with no definitive date besides soon after. Which bugs me. You hear this all the time... we'll be waiting soon after release of BF3 for Karkand and Wake Island which they know players want on Day 1, so why postpone it?
Grant it, I have nothing else to do but wait so I'll live. Though Spinning Strike still needs to be tuned up and turned to a PBAoE, AS for Stalkers could either use MA's alternate or KM's default and maybe damage boosted a little for base or some such.
Quote:I can't express my depression at the wait for Street Justice.
The upside to this outrageous fiasco though is I can go back to Live and start collecting some Hero/Vill merits to save up. But I know I'll be playing BETA less if ever, not a fan of support or blaster rolls so TM and BR never appealed to me. With what few proliferation there is as well, "been there, done that" comes to mind. -
-
I prefer Obliteration to Sirocoo for Burst, personally. Relatively cheap, just a matter of collecting the merits for it and depending whether or not you have enough for Sir, you may just have enough for Oblit as well.

See now SR would be difficult with StJ in trying to manage endurance, at least until you gain access to Body Mastery (which is what now, 35?). Because there's no safety net, and again, it's not just a problem with StJ but with all fast sets. SR has to be my favorite secondary but lacks any kind of tool to turn the tides when things go bad - making you have to go with First Aid (though if you're going for a 'natural' character concept, it works).

Quote:Two Finishers? I thought CR only opened the window for one?As cor CR, I always use it when I really want to unload some ugly damage. I use it to unload two finishers in a row, and then can build a 3rd one up really fast.
I've ditched it currently on my 38 StJ/Elec mainly because it doesn't seem that appealing knowing it's damage boost is lower than regular BU. -
Man, it'll be a while before I even break 1billion but I can't wait to see some builds come around.
-
Quote:Interesting, now that all sounds very enticing. And, since there's no NDA and anyone that can post can get to the section anyway, Street Justice's tier 9 Crushing Uppercut has a scale 3.18 base at no combo level with a full damage (scale 3.18) critical at 100% from hidden status. At combo level 3, it outdamages Assassin's Strike (scale 7.155 total) with a shorter animation, no interrupt, an 11 second mag 3 hold, and 100% knockup. Oh, and a 13' range.
Sadly, Stalkers lost the -resistance power for AS, and BU doesn't add combo levels...BU+AS+Shin Breaker+Placate+Crushing Uppercut would be a fun BU window, though.
Personally I favor BU as CR currently has a lower buff damage - so it's a better alternative IMO. -
You can talk about it. There's no NDA considering anybody who has an active account may gain access to the Beta - therefore there's no reason to keep anything under the table and out of sight.
I think my major gripe about /Ice (for any AT for that matter) is the graphics are just boring and lack that special treat for the eyes to keep me playing them. I've heard good things like Bastion being a great T9 replacement but that's about it. -
Definitely loved Captain America. Haven't seen Green or Thor, two characters I couldn't care less about - but I was hearing good things about Capt and I wasn't disappointed. I thought it was going to tank with Tommy, Christopher ( who was a good portrayal of Johnny Storm - too bad the F4 movies sucked ) but rest assured I was pleasantly surprised.
-
I have too many Stalkers on Live, I feel I know how they work (at least for the playstyle I prefer) so there's nothing new to me. I made one but haven't touched him. That and I'm no number cruncher - let alone min/maxer so any support for my observation would likely be based on personal preference and lack conclusive data. :P
Been reading a little. I think they do need to fix the whole Combo issue as IMO, a ComboX3 should ALWAYS crit for a Stalker. -
Quote:Probably:So, when this does hit the live servers - what Power Sets are you going to be pairing with Street Justice?
StJ/Elec
StJ/FA
Electric Armor has great synergy in my opinion, though starting out it can be very costly. Once you get Energize, if you can spare the heal - it can be a temporary and great deterrent for endurance spending (at least that's how I rolled with KM/Elec until Power Sink). Figuring being only 37, still haven't made enough leeway in endurance reduction to keep up a long fight yet. Even has me thinking of going with Cardio until I put Performance Shifters in Stamina and PS.
Otherwise Fiery Aura looks sexy and for Virtue, I have a great concept of a Muai Tai-character just kind of living off the streets of Praetoria - lot of underground Fight Clubs and what not. (and he don't give ****, he talks about Fight Club all the time - cry about it).
FA seems like it could be really good, though loss of agro seems to be it's crutch. Throw down Burn: 1; RC > SB > SS 2; [RC > SB > SC or RC > SB > CU - for ST superiority!] Sounds like a lot of fun. Tanks will probably have it easy though as FA/StJ. -
-
CU reminds me of Concentrated Strike with a faster animation time. So yeah it's pretty slow, kind of tricky to get it to mesh properly.
-
Just waiting for the server to go live.
-
Some proper setup of the mobs and it can still be devastating enough.
I'm curious with a /Fire secondary as something I just thought of. If you go with Reactive from Interface, does that boost the DoT damage you can deliver? -
Hm can't wait to see the build ideas for this set come around. Just need to find a good /Fire build with soft capped stats that'll synergize well with it. Currently saved that Claws/Elec since I may as well make a StJ/Elec ( LR, Power Sink, and soft capped Res ). Been told by other players the other day that /Fire has a lot of potential to reap a lot of benefit from the set.

21 days though? You'll have to excuse me, never got into the solo ITF runs and competitions (due to lack of pocket money to afford all the good stuff) so that's got me a little confused. >_<
-
I myself start with Initial Strike > Rib cracker > Shin breaker > Crushing Uppercut. Might not be the best for DPS purposes but it sure makes me feel like a badass - the animation that is anyways.

Used to be the song I'd listen to whenever hitting Studio 55 with Kelvin C. Kestrel - and then I found out a few days later nobody really hangs out there. -
Looked like no hard feelings were felt, little hastey sure but considering the second reply "lmao", not to mention the, "...rudeeeeee." spelling, doubt the person would remember it the next day.
Honestly I've never been asked that before when making a new char, so you should feel happy you got that attention :P Most of the time I get blind invites to SGs =/
