So far-
Green Lantern, in 3d..enjoyed until the big fight at the end..wasnt that big and very predictable
Pirates 4- Beginning of a new trilogy. Didnt follow the formulae of the first 3 and that's what I liked about it. definitely different and if you were a true fan of the Pirates you enjoyed it. More of a quest film, less action, more story though this time.
X-men First Class- definitely better then x-men 3 and wolverine origins. Kept with the continuity of the first 3. felt like a new trilogy began here. Felt like it could've been called x-men origins and would've fit as a better title.

Coming up- Harry Potter, then Capt america

-Pogoman, Master of Kick-Fu
-Co-Leader and recruiting officer of the Virtue Honor Guard
- lvl 50 ma/sr scrapper
-Ace O' Diamonds lvl 50 fire/rad controller
and waaaay to many other alts to mention right now

I liked the new X-Men movie a lot too. Some of the pacing, especially near the beginning of the movie, was a bit too fast, and some of the character development for a lot of the supporting characters was kinda weak. Most of that, though, seemed to be because the studio was really just trying to cram a lot of content into a two hour movie. Overall I thought the early relationship between Magneto and Professor X was done REALLY well.

Thor: Liked it a lot more than I thought I would. I was expecting it to be really campy, but they played the angle very well. Also, Darcy was a cutie.

Captain America: Liked it a little less than Thor, but still a good movie. It's first half was better than the 2nd, though. It felt like it lost steam after he started kicking butt, oddly enough.

X-Men: Really liked it, aside from the thrown in characters that served no purpose. I wasn't thrilled with Mystique and Xavier growing up together, but in the end it worked out well, and Magneto was a badass. Also, the flick had the best cameo of the year.

Harry Potter: A good conclusion to the series. It's clear they saved the exciting bits for Part 2; because Part 1 was boooooooooring. The action was good, and Neville got his hero moment. My only complaint was the ending, where they think that putting a fake beard on an 18 year old makes them look 40.

Definitely loved Captain America. Haven't seen Green or Thor, two characters I couldn't care less about - but I was hearing good things about Capt and I wasn't disappointed. I thought it was going to tank with Tommy, Christopher ( who was a good portrayal of Johnny Storm - too bad the F4 movies sucked ) but rest assured I was pleasantly surprised.

Man, that's like reading one of your posts and complaining it didn't make sense.

Just saw Rise of The Planet of The Apes tonight. Very good movie, and of course had the "Damn dirty apes!" line in it for nostalgia effect. The human characters (beyond the main scientist and his family) were so shallow that you mainly felt the apes were better potrayed than any of the humans. Very well done CGI and the story flowed really well. Would honestly see this multiple times if I could.

As for other movies this summer...

Captain America (great), Green Lantern (sucked), Pirates 4 (awesome), Transformers 3 (awesome), Thor (great), Harry Potter (very good ending to the series), Cowboys and Aliens (pretty freaking awesome for a movie with the strangest concept this year, also Daniel Craig's character was a bad-***).

I saw a movie from 2004 the other day called Warai no Daigaku (笑の大学). It's based on a two-man play, so almost the entire movie is a government censor and a playwright in a big sparse room interacting with each other to get a script approved. Hilarious and awesome.

I've seen a variation of this in the theater, but I can't remember the name. Saw most of hero movies they are best to worst

Cap
Xmen
Thor
GL

The first 3 are all keepers, GL I enjoyed but feel guilty.

Typically wait for DVD for Harry, though I love the books. Same for the Comedies.
