Yup that was the guy. Not accusing anybody of anything, my first thought was he was your alt. Otherwise I'm not surprised if by chance two different people have similar images and ideas they draw from.

You and me both. I feel all bad since most of the names mentioned I don't recognize. :P
  4. They only own rights to server access technically speaking. Characters you create and design, the info that you jot down, is completely your own. Grant it, as Eiko says, copywriting a trademarked character is a completely different story. IE: Do not take Statesman and put him in DC thinking you're free to do so, the character is owned by NCSoft therefore trademarked.
  5. Morning, afternoon, and evening everyone!

For me, I do avoid some but it depends. There's always exceptions out there, but I try to steer clear of quite a few while sticking my characters specifically to something similar in origin. Seraph wouldn't mix well with mutants or aliens, not unless there's a lot of creativity involved that would make sense; since in some cultures Nephilim (or the like) are believed to be extraterrestrials who warred with another human-like race to claim territory of the Solar System.

But yeah, catgirls-boys (animorphs basically) vampires that sparkle when in the sun light or some stuff. And of course futas since typically they run around specifically for ERP, at least when I 'get some', it fits within the story of that particular character. :P
  8. Eh no worries, you're still more talented than me. I haven't drawn in over probably ten years. >_<
  9. Can't resist.

A mug shot would be cool, some sly smirk with the Rularuu Sword (BS respectfully) resting on the back of his neck. :3 Just giving ideas but feel free, if by chance I get selected, to construct an image whatever you see fit.
  10. Ya'll should run something for the Island Empire, then I'd be down. :3
  11. ((oh alright, I'll go ahead and shoot a blank out there...

Keep in mind this particular character is still in Praetoria and very young. Hopefully the next update comes soon so existing characters that have left, will be able to at least get back into Studio 55.))

    Name: Matt Shepard

    Age: 28
    Looking for: 23-32

    Sex: Male
    Looking for: Female

Education: Highschool diploma, Masters in Psychology, graduated from school.
Looking for: Something respectable, ideally someone with a decent level of common sense and intelligence.

    Marital Status: Single
    Looking for: Single

About you: "Well lets see. To put it bluntly, I'm still a kid yearning to escape this 'adult hood'. Sure I consider myself a professional but all this formality and structure caused me, at least in my opinion, to miss out on plenty of opportunities. Clubs, dancing, sleep overs; I've missed out on that stuff - it's all foreign to me. Blame my dad, he brought me up and since the day I could walk, taught me how to be a more reserved individual. Apart of me still wants to experience the 'human race' to say the least." Mr. Shepard

He goes on to describe briefly describe his job, "Right now I'm a detective for the Praetorian Police Department. I'm not much of a bragger but I do respect my job and feel it carries with it quite a bit of weight. I'm no super hero but they trust me enough to place me in the Powers Division, kind of makes people think twice anyways during interrogation hours. Oh yes, did I mention I was a 'people person'. Ha, I'm not entirely far gone. But lets just say I'm a busy man, some-one needs to keep the streets clean."

Looking for: Pausing, Mr. Shepard is a little taken back by the question. Raising his brow and quirking his lips to the side. The silence is interrupted abruptly, "Well anybody and everybody. I'm not a picky guy. Sure I have particular likes for an ideal woman: tone body, long smooth legs, red hair, business suit, knows how to keep a conversation or rather literally tares it out of you... a woman who gets what she wants and knows exactly what it is she does want." Nodding approval, Mr. Shepard shrugs. "But hey, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. We can't always get what we want and I leave room for exceptions as there are always exceptions."

Interests/Hobbies: When brought to the question of hobbies, Mr. Shepard smiles. That smile turns to a sly grin, "Did I mention I work for the PPD? That means I get a gun right?" He laughs softly and continues sighing apologetically, "I do like to shoot. My father was a military man, the day I could hold my own tooth brush didn't go unnoticed and shortly after I found myself on open fields with the old man shooting tin cans."

"Although," Mr. Shepard relents, "What can I say. I got into my job because I 'aim to please'. Otherwise, I do like the sports... contact mostly." Flashing a wink to the camera lens, Mr. Shepard looks back to the interviewer. "On my spare time, what little I get of it, I'm usually working out or sparring a punching back or something. I mean I could ramble on ya'know... skydiving, scuba diving, running, mixed martial arts; jujitsu mainly... but I digress. To some it up, I'm just an active person who favors the extreme conditioning of a well balanced body."

Likes: "Ha, well: the color blue, jean jackets, shades, alternative music, television sports, massage therapy both giving and taking," He winks again, "and loads of other stuff. I always leave room for more. My plates are never full for that very reason."
Dislikes: The man's mood quickly turns, he becomes more somber and thoughtful. "There's a lot I don't like. Some of it makes me a hypocrite, such as fast food - but I eat it more than a decent meal. But what's there to say, I don't like jocks; never fitted in as one and I especially don't like being around them.

I drink on occasion, but I don't drink specifically to get drunk out of my mind. So I don't like being around people who do that. Heh'eh, when I said I liked swimming... I don't like swimming in the deep end. There's always that fear that looms in the bottom of your gut, 'I see so far yet what's beyond that which I cannot see.' Stuff like that. There's also kinds of people who over assert themselves into roles that don't suit them, or rather ruins the image they could pull off.

Drama! Yeah, lets just say week after week, 'I love you - I hate you - I want you - go away', yada-yada. Not stuff I'm particularly comfortable with. To sum it all up, there's a lot."

Contact Info: "You can reach me by cell, I'm sure co'workers can pass it along" (Almost forgot I changed my handle, you can reach me @BlitzW0lf, that's a zero not an O fyi.)

((I'm on a few characters but should an idea spring up otherwise, just holla and brainstorm with me! ))
  12. -enters wearing his Dante getup with the head of a rikti monkey in the form of a hat on his head- Morning, or should I say late evening.
  13. My October schedule is busy unfortunately. MoH comes out on Tuesday, New Vegas a week later, then I'm meeting up for the first time with clan mates who support various games and primarily TF2; we're having a pre-post Blizzard meet up where we're gunna hang out at Disneyland.
  14. ((haha tempting, very tempting.))

    Completely agree.

Ideally it works great on paper but it never works how you want it through practice. Someone will always find an "easy rout" and use it just for the lols or for the "I Win" button. Either you bump into some griefer who completely ruins and interrupts any plans you originally had, or things just don't flow in the direction everybody wanted. Of course there's also individuals who RP as they go, so the element of surprises may go over well with them.

For me, I like plotting the course before lifting off. Feels like a more concrete story full of depth behind it which can be explored in later installments and practices.

I let bygones be bygones, I textfight but I wont sit there and pick a fight with a person who PVPs and demand they textfight me. That's just asinine.

I think what really bothers people is the loss of control over your character's story. If you're winning a lot and for some reason that isn't consistent with your character's story, that's not a problem; throw a few fights and you've set things straight. If you're losing too consistently, though, your character's story is being altered by those events. Maybe only slightly, but maybe not. RPers in general are pretty strict about that, hence the sometimes excessive worry about powerposers and godmoders. When you say "OK, this fight's outcome is unplanned and will definitely, positively be a canon part of my character's story", you're taking chances with what may be a favorite character, and you're placing an awful lot of trust in other RPers to handle that RP in a reasonable and mature manner. That's not necessarily something everybody wants to do.

Pretty much my thoughts on the matter as well. It's like throwing open house only to find people raiding your fridge for products you wouldn't expect them to snag. In a sense, your character is your property and what I say about your character shouldn't always be obeyed. It's like what Labal said once commenting about how just because his character is dead, he wasn't going to delete it - in response to those constantly watching him come back from seemingly ultimate death every time. And in my opinion he's completely right.
  16. My turn here:

Seraph of course is a half breed demon - demon slayer, offspring to a Nephilim who despised humanity roughly 1800B.C and despite Lucifer and Michael's deal to leave the Earth realm (an exodus, detailing their war to continue in the nether realm), Morgana refused to depart as did many who remained behind. Some sought solitude and peace of quiet while others like Morgana plotted. She of course was hunted by a pure blood human who she ended up mating with and of course he would become Seraph's father. Seraph is charismatic, suave, cunning; the kind of guy who knows where all the pieces will slide to next on the chess board yet conceals his finding remarkably well. Though he has a strong sense of morality, not so much justice, that keeps him in line. Basically he's cliche to the max, but that's fine. Someone always has to fill that void - that kind of character that is just all around heroic with a nice large scoop of badass 'array

Saber Wolf AKA Agent Shepard, is an ex-spec ops professional. He's suave but bodes most of the time, a frequent one-night-stand kind of guy with a twist. He sleeps around a lot due to the loss of his wife; it effects him psychologically and he hides it very well. In truth he yearns for that level commitment but every time he meets someone he doesn't see his wife, who even after her death he loves dearly. This leads him to staying up all night with alcohol in his hand, or simply leaving in the middle of the night. Combat wise, he's just cold and vengeful if one happens to be his target. The whirl wind of sub conscious thoughts gives him frequent migraines so when he's in the D or somewhere he's most often holding his head and fighting through the mental stress... he considers himself a psychological-masochist because it reminds him that he's still human - since he uses nanites to build the suit he typically parades around in.

The Walking Grave was a recently new toon of mine since coming back. He's basically your *******, likes to pick fights or at least temp one to start one while being fully confident. Simply put, as long as a single ash of himself remains; he reconstructs himself. He was a powerful member of a mob cartel but was betrayed, cursed and arose back as a zombie. He's good with business, very conniving, and articulate. He's the kind of guy who finds the person he's looking to kill, locks them both up in a furnace, and watches the person melt in front of him while lighting a cigar. Simply put, he's a psychopath. Kind of like a voodoo artist, his methods typically lead him to enduring the pain, though he feels nothing, with his victim and finds it enjoyable.

Agreed to an extent. There's a certain amount that can be reasoned with and accepted. It's when that leads to OOC cliques that favoritism begins to grow amongst the people and then clashes start. I'm all for recognizing an SG first, joining it if it fits the concept of my character or rather they only want a particular concept to join their SG, but it's when those IC feelings lead to OOC behavior. That's when I start getting sick of being around people who follow that trend.

Otherwise I agree completely with the rest of what you said.
  21. Afternoon, evening, and goodmorning to everyone whoever the three terms apply to.
  22. Afternoon folks, how's it going.

-pops in like a ninja from out of sight and snags a plate only to sift back slowly into the shadows-
  23. Lots of friendly people, open opinions subject to change so nobody is acting like a brick wall. Personally the thing I don't like about SGs is many turn into clique supporters. Favoritism grows into being a large factor in swaying one's decision in what is accepted and what isn't or who can do what and when or why.
