I wanna try Kinetic Melee.. eet looks fun. It would be a nice set I think for my kinetic energy absorbing brute... but I'm not sure that I want to re-roll a level 24 character.

Clockwork-Angel is the character. The RP of her is that she is a robot who absorbs kinetic energy, stores it and then releases it when she fights. She also has the mentality of an 8 year old due to incomplete programming, so to her it's not 'fighting' so much as 'playing hard until people get tired and stop moving'. The rage bar represents her energy absorbtion.. the more she has, the more hyper she is. Her powerset right now is Energy Melee/Invulnerability.
Obviously, given the powers, KM would be a better match than EM... I may roll a new version of her and see which I wind up liking best. Besides, she was never meant to be a 'bad guy'... She just doesn't understand the consequences of what she does. I had to make her a villain though to be a brute. Now that it's no longer necessary....

Ahhh I thought maybe there was another power set for kinetic absorption. I have long thought that would be a good one.

It would be nice.. and it is a pretty classic power set. I guess they figure it would be to difficult to implement, or to similar to other stuff. Invulnerability works pretty good really. That and rage to represent the 'absorbing and getting stronger' part.

True, though I wouldn't think it that hard to implement. Or a reflection armor, where some damage gets reflected back at the attacker.

hmm. So I tried KM. It's all sorts of fancy martial arts-y moves and stuff. It looks cool, but really doesn't fit the 'feel' of the character, who's more, run in shouting "LET'S PLAY!" and start flailing wildly.

I like bowling, but I'm kinda iffy on KM... I have a hard time understanding the appeal of a melee set that makes you chase after what you're beating up
