Quote:Nah, but last time I checked the search function still worked.Well whaddya expect? It's not we've been given much of anything in the way of specifics.
Quote:I don't think Vigilantes/Rogues will get their own SG... Vs will go with Heroes and Rs will get with Villains.
The same goes for PvP... Vigilantes are Heroes and Rogues will be Villains.
This is speculation on my part, but as cool as actually creating a third side would be, I don't think the Devs will do it. -
If it's alphabetical, I don't know what so special about my client (EU maybe? Can't see why that would make a difference), but it was ordering them based on date created. Definitely. My list used to be all over the place, alphabetically speaking. I've now re-ordered it in my own way, and it displays in the order I've copied the files back, which still isn't alphabetical.

Perhaps 'library' would have been a better word. I like to have all my costumes up there because when I want to work on a costume, around 60% of the time I load up something I've already got.
I was hoping for something like:
Storm - Original
Storm - Ouroboros
Storm - Vanguard
Storm - Cimerora
Storm - Suit
Storm - Winter
Storm - Halloween
Amy - Uniform
Amy - Original
Amy - Cimerora
and so on.
If anyone else is interested, after rummaging around the costume folder, I'm pretty sure the game orders them based on the 'Date created' tag. While there's probably some work around to change the tag, I think some deleting, copying, pasting, saving, and rearranging is in order. Thanks anyway. -
Does anyone know of a method of rearranging my saved .costume files? My list has got a little ugly as of late, and while I'm considering deleting the nasty stuff and saving some newer stuff to archive it, to know a way to reorder my costumes would be fantastic. I know that it orders them based on what order they were saved in, so how does it call that back? Is there a timestamp in the file I could change or something?
Anyway, any help would be much appreciated. -
I'm sure I've had plenty, although I can only remember one. And I don't even know if it qualifies as a 'WTF moment'. Perhaps more a 'Woah'.
Me and a friend had only just signed up, and we were running around Kings on our level six-or-so blasters. We'd heard from some players we'd teamed with that the Clockwork that we'd seen around the city would sometimes gather in Kings Row, and make a big clockwork named 'Paladin'. If you destroyed the construction, you got a badge. It sounded fun!
So when the team disbanded, we decided that we'd go and look for this clockwork construction. We climbed in and around so much of Kings Row that afternoon, getting excited every time we saw one of those little two-clock construction jobs. It looked like the clockwork they were constructing was at least twice the size of regular clockwork! We went around smashing up all these rooftop construction sites (At least the workers. It wouldn't let us target the construction for some reason). We were starting to get a little confused, as we'd destroyed so many constructions, but hadn't got the badge. We must be getting close to the Paladin one now.
I decide that if we're gonna carry on at this rate, I'm gonna need some fuel. I tell my friend "Brb. Gonna grab some coffee", and type '/afk'. It was at this point that a twenty foot-tall clockwork titan named 'Paladin' leaped up from the park just to the right and below the road I was standing on, bottomed out my health bar in a fraction of a second, and then jumped back down to his hiding place. My friend couldn't stop laughing for about ten minutes while I stared at the monitor in disbelief.
It was that day that I learned of both Giant Monsters' sheer size, and of the infamous 'Paladin Park'. -

If I ever got around to using my Carnival Mistress costume to make a mind/psi dom, I would kill to get the Carnies' [Psychic Visage] upon death. Even if I had some penalty like lowered max hp or more debt or something. It's just so pretty and the thematic goodness would make my head explode.

Quote:Oh, totally. Announcement, to me, implies they've got something they want to actually tell us, rather than another teaser. Which I loved, by the way. I'd attack people for more things like that.Right, but if they are even watching their keystrokes, we're not in for just another resistance screenshot this week.

Information is easy to get wrong if the topic's in development. If they announce something, they have to be absolutely certain that what they're talking about won't change before release. Imagine, (for example) they say "Praetoria will have content from 1-25! Rejoice!". We express our opinions (excited or disappointed). Then, in a month or so, they say "Sorry guys, if we want to release on time, we won't be able to do the 20-25 content.", people would be angry. There can be quite a bit of spite on the boards when there's been a misunderstanding, not to mention if information were to be revealed as false. This is why marketing are watching their every keystroke with their hawkish eyes, and why it takes a while to prepare announcements.
-
Quote:and thanks for all your efforts. I, personally, would be happy with any announcement whenever you can get it to us. Excited to hear from the team!Reading the responses, I'd like to emphasize the word "should". I can't ever promise anything for sure, because there's a lot that goes into making an announcement. We want to get info to you guys, but at the same time we need to make sure any info we get to you is 100% correct. When we don't get it right you folks get rightly upset.
So to recap. We want to get you info, as soon as we possibly can. You guys want info, but you want the right stuff. We're working hard to get it to you, and as soon as we can we'll share more.
Thanks, -

Quote:I hope you didn't expect any less. If so, you've still much to learn.I say something is ultra fun and we get a full blown rumor mill
I did say we should have an announcement of some sort this week, and I'll stick by that. What will it be? You'll have to wait and find out. I'd love to give it to you now, but we've got to wait until the appropriate time.
Looking forward to being able to give you more info, -
If you use the arachnos preorder helmets and the CoV Preorder cape (available for purchase from the AE ticket vendor. I think. The cape I'm only half-sure about), and stick to the black colour scheme, you can generally pull an arachnos-esque uniform off. This was my attempt at a Wolf Spider:
Using the Wolf Spider helmet, 'Armoured Pads' chest and legs, 'layered pads' shoulders, 'Enforcer 2' chest detail (Although an Arachnos one works if you have access to it), 'retro' belt, 'tai' gloves and boots (Ninja pack needed. If not, then most general armour can pull off the look), and the CoV preorder cape. While it doesn't look perfect, it looks like it could maybe blend in. -
My local Uni campus has a building called "Babbage", and I can't pass it without smiling.

I won't deny, I'm getting excited as hell over this. If it's true, and we do get a peek at testing Ultra mode in the near future, I'll finally get to see just how up to scratch my card is, read about how others' cards are doing, and then finally start looking into upgrading if I need to.

Q: How many Carnival of Shadows does it take to change a light bulb?
A: One to change it but at least ten to decide if the bulb should be red, black or strobe. -
Quote:Hadn't seen that before, and just listened to the whole thing whilst playing. Got a good few laughs out of that. Cheers.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=33ko78TeO5I

You- what? Why would releasing Ultra Mode early mean that GR wouldn't need thorough testing? I'm sorry if I sound patronising or anything, but I'm actually confused.
-
Quote:I'm the same. After a busy new year and then a little splash of GR info, now I only log in for the odd chat, to design a costume, and little things like that. It must be over a month now since I actually entered a mission.Quote:Im literally just logging in just to chat to friends really. Whenever i get close to an issue release/beta, i find myself playing less and less because i keep thinking i want my characters to level up via the new way to give myself a target while playing it.
Im wierd
Not that I'm complaining. Gives me more time for other things. -
I had this lastnight. Got a lockup, and if I left it for a few minutes, I'd get a "Cannot connect to DBserver". Only applied for my character in Sharkhead.
Edit: Can log in now. Odd. -
I agree with some earlier chimes; you're playing with the wrong players. I only get the "are you a healer?" thing once every month or so, and I normally reply with something like "You don't need healing if the enemies don't hit you", or something along those lines. Whatever fits the defender I'm playing.
But yeah, I'd start my own PuGs in your position. You can't get kicked if you've got the star. Also, if you haven't already, I'd stick my primary/secondary in my search comment. -
While you can design one in AE, for me AE is as it's presented in-game; a virtual experience that my character undergoes.
I would love a nemesis system where you design your nemesis exactly like you design your own character (power colouring included. Yum), but with the addition of a 'personality' tab, or something along those lines. Something that lets you pick between a few presets like 'Evil Genius', 'Mad Scientist', 'Vigilante', and this option decides what dialogue they use. (Or maybe you could type in their dialogue manually, if it could be abuse-proof). They'd then appear in missions (even if it's only radios and safeguards). It's something I've hoped for for some time, but I can see that it would probably be a little too much work for something that isn't that big a thing.
