Fawn Scout teamed up with (my) Moxie Danger the other night for some all-around good fun and Spider shooting/punching. Just as much fun to team with the Scout as it is to check her out in artz.

S/L is the way to go, as that will cover most melee attacks, many ranged attacks, and a pretty decent portion of AoE attacks.
Getting Hasten and a good amount of +Rech (for more Energizing and more Power Sinking...not to mention more Power Siphoning) is a good bet, too. -

Quote:Bear in mind that the PvP IOs are fairly easy to get these days, what with Alignment Merits and all. You also get the benefits of picking them up at whatever level you damn well please, as well as not having to rely on the market for the item to be available. If you're willing to spend the 4.5 billion Inf on those 3 Purple sets in your build, doing Tips and Flashbacks (for Reward Merits) over 20 days should be a piece of cake.I've been flipping through these builds for the past hour or so, and noticed something. The majority of them have the PvP Unique Glad Armor +Def.....I'm looking to maximize my DM/Shield without using that IO. I was curious if I could even come close to the high end attack chain without that IO? I've tinkered with Mid's as well, and seem to come up short. Any suggestions? This has me stumped for a change... :P

Oh, I remember lots of scrapper accomplishments; I just don't remember very many of them including Fire Armor.

Hey all. I've got a hankering for a KM/FA character, and I'd like to hear some arguments as to the pros and cons of running that combo on Tankers, Scrappers, and Brutes. As best I can ascertain, general consensus is:
Tanker Pro: Most survivability; Tanker Con: less damage (...duh)
Scrapper Pro: More benefit from Concentrated Strike Scrapper Con: least survivability
Brute Pro: More benefit from Fiery Embrace; Brute Con: less benefit from Concentrated Strike
Obviously, that's just a quick and dirty rundown. I tend to favor AoEs over STs, so I'm leaning Brute, but if I'm overlooking anything, I'm all ears.
Thanks! -

Apples and oranges. GMs have vastly more hitpoints than AVs (Kahn TF Reichsman excluded), which means that their Regeneration is far more powerful than an AV's. Corruptors, Masterminds, and Defenders are the most common GM soloers, because each of those ATs contain powersets which hinder targets' Regen. Then there are extreme outliers like Silverado's Fire/MM Blaster. I'm sure a /Psi Dominator or two has/have taken down a GM at some point.
But no...Brutes won't be soloing GMs. -
Oh, my mistake, you're right; I had forgotten that that build had so many expensive things in it. After tracking the markets for a few weeks, I realized that I'd much rather save 4 billion Inf than make fairly negligible increases in survivability.
The attack chains differ in that I have Boxing slotted as an attack, and can use it as a filler for gaps between Punch/Jab/KoB, while your posted build will have gaps. -
That's a pretty solid build, but...it's like 10x more expensive than mine. It's also lacking any kind of a single target chain, which is important to me. Definitely some food for thought in it, though. Thanks!

Sorry Twilight, I didn't even see that anyone had replied here. Your link won't open for me, but I'll take a gander at that build.
In the meantime, here's a different one I cooked up.
Build Highlights:
**46.7/46.7/46.5 M/R/AoE defenses
**2079 Hit Points
**Regens 27.57 hp/s
**Recovers 4.0 eps, 4.6 when you factor in Perf. Shifters
**Passive End Drain of .91 eps
**77.5% Recharge
**No Purples (does use the Gladiator's PvP, but 30 HMerits are like 3 weeks of work; no biggie)
If anyone can find any areas for improvement, fire away!

...what?
Do you mean you have all 6 pieces of one set of Kinetic Crash (it's NOT a damage set, it's a Knockback set), and you want to know which of those two powers to slot them in?
Uh...neither.
Unless, of course, you're using your SS/SD for farming ONLY; then I guess you could put them in Knockout Blow. But using your heaviest hitting ST attack as a set mule for, what, an extra 7.5% Recharge Time? Okay. -
...welcome back? I think? I feel like you've been gone for a long time. Or maybe it's just that there's been a Foo-shaped hole on the boards of late.
-
This here. Y'know how a lot of times, a team will wipe out a bunch of Sky Raiders, then get around to acing the FFG? That always makes me laugh, but it's a good way to go about DE. Let 'em spawn their buff pets, then get them the heck away from 'em.

These are crazy good. White and Mousey look like they came by your place and posed for their portraits.
-
That's a very excellent build, and I'll be basing mine on it. Much obliged!

I know, I know...not a Scrapper. But I wanted to repost this here since the thread was getting buried over on the Brute forum, and no one had yet responded. Since the Scrapper forum tends to be viewed more often and posts given more views and feedback...
Repost follows:
Here's a build I made tonight; the character's coming up on 32, which is when I usually start slotting the sets I want. Three things:
1. No Hasten: Already has 90% global recharge, and really only the attack chain and Foot Stomp benefit...Aid Self, too, I guess, but if I need another 70% of recharge in there, then I'm doing something very wrong.
2. Expensive: Which is fine; this is one of only 2 projects right now (along with a DM/SD), and I've been fine so far with affording pricey things for that one, between marketeering and Alignment Merits.
3. Resuscitate: The level 49 slot...really not much else to grab there. Totally open to suggestions (that aren't Hasten).
EDIT: Just wanted to add that I'll be grabbing the Cardiac Boost with this one, so the End Burn (a "passive"--i.e., without figuring an attack chain--3.1 EPS) will be even lower; by how much I'm not sure, because that's more math than I want to do right now.

Fire/Dark Corrs. Not that they're bad, per se, but it seems like there's a bot on the Corr forums which answers every "What kind of Corr should I...?" thread with "Fire/Dark".
