I'm sure Layla could see about hooking you up with one Z, just let her know.

Sounds like an idea that should be taken to the Playstation message boards, and not here.
  4. Oh, for the love of...

Listen, THB. I'm not going to debate this with you here. You hate knock back. We get it. It is your personal opinion that it is detrimental. I don't care. I. Don't. Care. What I DO care about is you making us look bad by representing Kheld Fridays in an event and then saying on a thread a couple inches away "Oh I think you guys that like to play PB's suck, and are useless."

I'm not asking you to shut up, or not express your opinion. I am, however, asking you to use tact.

For all the lurkers reading this--his opinion is not a reflection on the rest of us at Kheldian Fridays.

No, because stamina is an auto power, and works differently in that regard.

IIRC, procs only have a chance to fire upon the activation of a click power. Toggles are the ones where they have a chance to fire every 10 seconds.

So no, it'd be relatively useless.

    Yes, you.

I also ventured to a galaxy far away, but I didn't spend long there. I like it, but I can't escape the feeling I'm paying a subscription to play a single player game. I'll probably cancel it soon.

    According to Paragonwiki:

The Orange tower hardcaps his defense, so that would be a major obstacle to overcome. And apparently the red tower gives him 100% resistance to Smashing/Lethal/Energy (if I'm reading it correctly), but I see nothing that makes him impervious to all damage, unless it's a hidden gimmick.

Putting all that aside, I can think of a way how it could be done. It would be challenging, but doable. I think, if you give it a second, you could figure it out too.
  11. Dwarf will still be immeasurably useful (especially on builds like ours) on low level content (ie any point before Light Form is available), so that isn't too big of a problem. It makes sense that we don't need it much--though I found myself shifting into it the other day when I needed more heals or was smashing on a GM.

I just can't decide what I will want for destiny. I don't find myself needing extra survivability all that much--Barrier would only be useful on iTrials, really. Or, I suppose, if I decided to push the limit on difficulty levels whilst solo, or wanted to revive my squishy teammates. One doesn't really need Rebirth with access to 3 self heals. Ageless...is a possibility, but I don't find myself hurting for endurance quite that often. Clarion is unnecessary, though it's secondary effects are perhaps worth looking into. Which leaves...incandescence? A PB with a teleporting power. Awesome.

  13. The problem I've noticed with events in general as it relates to attendance and prizes is:

There are some people that won't bother to show up unless their personal payout makes it "Worth it" to them. What this number is varies, but it's generally mildly high.

And then there are people (namely the ones that join my events) that I get the feeling will generally show up even if there was no reward, just because it sounds fun.

I'd just as soon as focus on the latter, but if you want a large signup pool of people, it's something to keep in mind. Oh, and lots of shilling. For some reason most people don't visit the forums, so they tend to miss out on the what/when/where. Go figure.

I personally like Major_T's idea (about the less you bring, the more you get--with the obvious risk/reward that entails), and so my idea for an evil challenge would be a Speed STF, one minute penalty on each death, and leaving the "Power Towers" alone in the final LR fight. Of course, with something that restricted, your signup list might be limited.

Costume contests, on the other hand, is something that anyone can sit down and try so that's worth looking into. Perhaps something like Laylas Iron Tailor, but with certain themes this time?

I also like Zal's Gauntlet idea.
  14. *sighs*

I must say, both yours and Abes builds are far better than mine. Then again, mine is a shameless "Cheapo" build, so that's bound to happen.

Some day...I'll have something a bit nicer.
  15. Hm, the problem is, team events are mostly out. Unfortunately, a billion isn't enough to split amongst 8 people. So at the most, we can do tag team type events, or solo endeavors.

    So...

I would recommend a Scavenger Hunt, but the last time I tried that it didn't go over so well. Perhaps a (themed) base contest? Something that tests ingenuity rather than builds?

    New Zone/Area

This idea will have to get in line behind the Moon zone.
  17. I've also recently taken my PB tri-form myself. Perma Lightform makes it a whole different beast than the old days...I generally spend most of my time in nova form, blasting away at things while resistance capped. I drop out now and then to resummon my kamikaze fluffies, or heal up. I haven't had much of a reason to go dwarf, but then again I've been in a mostly team environment since the respec. Plus, the build isn't finished.

I can't see your build on my work computer, but I'll be interested in checking it out later.
  18. Adam, the reason one would take Earth Mastery is because one is trying to gain defense in Smashing/Lethal defense. Smashing/Lethal damage is the most common damage in the game, which covers everything from thrown rocks, to blades, to bullets. Getting the softcap in it, then, is widely valued because it boosts survivability. Mace Mastery is similar to Earth in that it has Scorpion Shield, which will cover Smashing/Lethal, as well as Energy defense.

As to your slotting of the Mu Mastery powers...you haven't given them enough slots to make them worth taking. Power sink is disgustingly redundant and overslotted (you have transference, why would you need another +end power?), and two of the actually useful powers (Ball Lighting and the Pet) have enhancement values so low, you may as well not use them. You will need to reevaluate your slotting choices and weigh pros/cons for each slot you put in the build that could be given to a different power.

You're going to need to ask yourself what you want out of your build before anyone can really help you. What are your goals? If it helps, check out my guide to making your own Mids' build in my sig.
  19. That's why I like phasing powers. It's always a nice little trick to play on jousting players.
  20. I'm gonna have to get me a t4 Lore pet. I was not aware that the gap between tiers 3 and 4 provided them with an almost magical ability to stay alive through incarnate trial stuff without outside heals/support.

Actually, depending on your veteran status, virtually the only difference between VIP and premium (paid and unpaid) is access to the new stuff. Namely, incarnate content. Assuming you're over (reward) level 7, the only other stuff you'll miss is the stuff that is released to be free to VIPs...but you can pay a one time fee for access to those.

That said, I don't intend to stop paying to play this game. For various reasons.

  23. Your data link is broken.

    1. Your tactics seem fine to me.
    2. It would depend on what the team consists of, but generally you can probably just keep doing whatever you're doing. You'll have the damage resistance and enough damage to keep most of the enemies occupied until they're dead.
    3. On a tri-form, not so much. Still, it's nice having some passive global defense. I got up to about 29% passive SL on my old triform build.
