This thread must be impervious to death, it keeps getting revived.

I am disappoint.
There are very few people showing up for RtR now days. -
-
Indeed. I've formed/led many a tf in which I've passed the star before we've started so that the higher levels can keep more of their powers.
-
So, we got some people Task Force Commander (credit), and had a new player!
It was quite a speedy Synapse run, and as we were all tri-formers, we had a veritable nova brigade. It was pretty sweet.
Keen eyed observers will note that we made a Peacebringer sandwich with a little bit of shade in the middle. -

If they add any type of "Incarnate Travel," it will probably be via the current incarnate power system we have now. In other words, it'll be less of a pool, and more of a tree.
To that end, you'll want to take another look at your ideas and make a Core/Radial tree, with each tier being more/less the same thing as the previous version, but slightly better.
That said, I don't see a need for travel powers that are basically travels+destiny mashed together, or variations on what we already have. If you want to make an incarnate travel, make something different (yet doable with the game engine). -
Hey, if it's a comfy rock I'll give it a go. Maybe put it out on my porch or something. It'd be my sittin' stone.

And I need someone to talk me out of it. You know that feeling you get, when you see something online that you absolutely don't need to buy but you want to own it, just because? Well...
They have royal purple and pitch black chairs that I want to possess. I don't need them, and I really have no room for them. But I wants the precious. I wants them. Because they belong together. -
Along with the other issues you've listed, Ghost Widows nasty high negative energy resistance is a pain when soloing her. It's a small wonder you had difficulties.
Casually purpled ftw. -
Quote:While I'm not trying to say it's quite as neccessary as fitness, I disagree with the implication that "I'm doing something horribly wrong" for taking it on a blaster/dom.That's *far* from being anything like Fitness. (And I rarely ever take it. I don't care about softcap, hardcap, percussion cap, etc. either - and doubt the majority of people playing the game do, either, quite honestly.)
I've also taken Kick for the heck of it. (And laughed when getting a kill or two with a nice crotch kick when fighting a friend in the arena. One heck of a finisher...)
Plus, you're just odd Bill.
lol @ Aneko. -
I suppose you're not one for set mules, then? Or hitting the softcap on on squishy ATs?

Quote:Yeah, while I named the guide the way I did because of the more vocal complainers on the discussion threads, the fact remains that some people don't like the idea of tying some of the otherwise thematic powers to lore. It's good that some of that has been cleared up.I just want to point out to people something about this god issue. We are not gods!
Talk to Prometheus again. He has some new information about a whole level above incarnates called ascension. He says he can help us ascend, but that will take the potential from every Human or something like that and he will not help us do that until the Coming Storm has been dealt with. -

Quote:And this, folks, is exactly the reason I made the guide.I find it a bit odd to talk about the Incarnate Powers as something you have to flat out prove why the character can be so powerful... When my main example would be my Electric/Electric/Electric Blaster who gained Ionic Judgement, but could already release a much more powerful AoE of Electric devastation beforehand.
Some of it really is just... more powers/options for representing a character. -
I'd like to remind people that this is a guide. Not the discussion forum. You may have your opinion, and you're welcome to it--I have no issues with hearing them. But if you want to argue with others about what you perceive to be wrong with the premise of the guide, please do the respectful thing and do so somewhere else. Thank you.
I realize that this response is a bit late, but last I looked this thread was on page 2. -
I would think that yes, it would disqualify you. You should probably PM one of the devs or contact customer support to see if they can make an exception or work something out if that is indeed the case.

Quote:Translation: You don't think this test matters because the actual experience will vary from person to person?Just to put my 2 cents worth in,If you have the perfect build thats you are very good at playing then yes you have the ultimate build in your opinion, but if you give that build to someone who does not know how to play it well is it still an ultimate build, that person would most likly say OMG this build is pants. My point being that any build can be great providing the person playing it know,s what they are doing and how to play the said power set.For myself I read about how good Kelds can be but have never been able to play them that well,so if asked for my opinion on that set it would be a case of it,s ok I suppose. My first toon was a blaster took her to 50 and still play it now and then. But I,m also into brute,s some AT,s I play are very good some not so good but I put that down to the fact I possibly do not play them right or have the slotting wrong .What the OP is doing is something he wants to prove to himself he is not trying to convince anyone else that blaster,s are great.right that was my 2 cents worth will crawl back into my box till I get up the nerve to come out again

Quote:Wish I could help you out there Bill, but I find myself using Saturdays as a "Catch up on console games I haven't beaten" and "Go get stuff done" day. I usuallly miss the other Protector events that go on on Saturdays as a result.Rather wish it were, oh, Squiddy Saturdays... then I could actually join instead of reading about these things while at work.
Perhaps someone else would be interested in hosting such an event, though?
