I would also like to see more purchasable character slots per server. Currently I have 31/36 filled on Liberty and the others already purchased in preparation for GR. I am certain that if more than 36 were allowed I would spend more money.

Quote:Yes, any team can complete any dev created contest as long as the players are pulling their weight. Imagine an all defender team on an ITF with no buffs or debuffs and the heals were sporadic. Will they be successful? Not a chance.
ANY dev created content is completable with ANY team makeup and ANY combination of builds, powersets, and powers.
Tauntless tanks, buff/debuffless defenders, "pure" healers, blasters that don't blast, scrappers that don't scrap, masterminds without pets, all four travel power anythings, etc....
Inflict your gimped concept build on players who know what they are getting. Having no buffs or debuffs is not compensated by a class that only does 55% of blaster damage. Blastfenders are gimped. I wouldn't want one on my team either. -
The market. The earlier poster's comment about it being 'a wretched hive of scum and villainy' is dead on. Newcomers and non-farmers need not apply.
Drop rates. IMO they've been borked since I-13 and even before that they dropped a disproportionate amount of mez, snipe, and pet recipes and not enough ranged, melee, targeted, and PBAOE damage recipes. Purples... I'm not even going to go there. -
Quote:I use Boost Range. I find it very useful for extending cone effects like Full Auto and Energy Torrent. I also find it useful for short ranged attacks like Cosmic Burst. It's also good for getting enough range to hit fleeing enemies who have normally moved out of range.QR
What about Jump Kick? I've heard terrible things about that one.
Hmm... Boost Range? Does anyone actually use this? Maybe it's a pvp thing, 'cause I don't do pvp, but this seems pretty useless to me.
EDIT: Oh yeah, I DID see someone using whirlwind the other day, a BLASTER, in fact, but he seemed like a fairly new player. -

I had a blast. I would love to do it again.
SundaySundaySunday! -
I wouldn't like it.
Can you imagine the sheer number of "Pandora" and "Mystic" and "Logan" characters running around? Or the frustration of having to type "Gunpowder and Lead@Steele Magnolia" and keeping that straight from every other "Gunpowder and Lead" toon? Or the confusion when you have two "Mystic" on the same team?
Good for CO. I hope it works out for them. -
Quote:This sounds good to me.Assuming theres enough people and those people have the time, could always run all three. Start the respec, let people get their builds right then hop into a Manti. All three TFs are pretty quick especially if someone calls out locations for the hunts on Numi.
If that doesn't sound doable, I'd imagine most folks have atleast 1 vet spec to burn. -
Fire/Ice Blaster 46-49
DP/Energy Blaster 4-29
Widow 43-44
All in all a good weekend for the amount of time I was able to play. The Sisterhood Friends Task Force Marathon was a blast. -
This was a blast! It was the Liberty that I know and love coming together for a good time. I did Positron and Citadel on my DP/Energy blaster Gunpowder and Lead. I regret missing Synapse and Psyche, but I had to go out for the evening. I wish I could have done all four.

Despite being up for half an hour according to the status page you can't log in. Blech.

l'm happily anticipating spending even more today. 3 GR preorders, for myself, brother, and mother. Woohoo!
-
My reccommendation for an good RPing SG is the Solus Foundation. Try contacting @Dalgrhyn in game to see if they are recruiting.
Definitely you should /chanjoin Sisterhood Friends -
Been playing since Jul 04, I think this is everything I bought. I've bought everything except the COV collectors and Architect boxes.
City of Heroes $40
City of Villains $40
Good vs Evil $25
City of Heroes Collectors Edition $50
New Computer in 2004 because my old couldn't keep up: $2700
64 months of paid subscription: $960 (5 months were free)
Wedding Pack $10
Valkyrie Pack $10
Cyborg Pack $10
Mac Pack $10
Science Pack $10
Magic Pack $10
Natural Pack $10
Server transfers $20
Character slots $120
Name changes $10
So over $4000 for my my own account.
I'm also paying for my mother and brother's account and until recently was paying for my husband's as well. I'm not going to add all that up since I don't remember how many months and extras I've bought for those.
This game has been worth every penny. -
Quote:I don't mind paying for Going Rogue. I don't mind paying for preorder four times (myself, husband's, brother's, and mother's accounts). I don't mind buying the more expensive, complete pack to get everything, that's what I was already planning to do.In short, you can either:
1) Pre-buy the regular edition in March, and get dual Pistols 5 months early and Demon Summoning 4 months early, then buy the Complete Collection item pack on launch day for GR. You miss out on the free month though.
OR
2) Wait for the Complete Collection, which gets you one month of free play (and CoH/V if you don't have them yet) in addition to the item pack. You don't get DP and DS until GR launches though.
So either way, you don't get everything unless you buy both. It depends on which you want more, a free month or early access to the powersets. Personally, I'll take the powersets.
I do mind having to physically hunt down a vendor to get the complete pack preorder or having to buy both versions digitally. That's a major PITA, unnecessarily complicated, and an obvious money grab. I am not amused. At all.
Edit: I love DP. It's the most fun set I've ever played in this game, in 5 1/2 years of buying everything right down to the last costume pack. This marketing nonsense, however, has me reevaluating how much I want it. It just leaves a bad taste in my mouth to be so obviously taken for a ride. -
Quote:I sure didn't!...so, who else didn't leave a single Nemesis soldier alive in *that* mission?
The RWZ arcs are some of my favorite in game, very powerful storytelling. I like repeating them and they're now part of my SG's canon. Sooner or later a friend and I will be writing up this arc in the RP section.
Lt. Sefu Tendaji is a friend, WMD... we're not exchanging Christmas cards. And I love fighting rogue Vanguard. -
Quote:I've played these and third these nominations, and would like to also nominate:
Teen Phalanx Forever (67335) by @PW
MacGuffin Delivery Service (1567) by @Lazurus
This is War, Part I - The Revenge of Hro'Dtohz (1356) by @Acid Zero
Hometown Rivalry (1460) by @Enderbean -
Thanks for the tip. I don't pvp much and didn't realize. I still had a couple of these left on a 13 blaster on Pinnacle I haven't played in 5 years. I didn't realize you could still get them.

Quote:Just because the items don't award anymore does not mean they don't exist. I still have a bunch of those things that don't award anymore, like 52 HOs, base salvage, high level TOs, and the old lavendar inspirations. I'm a collector, I collect stuff. The point remains this. Even if they pull out un-gettable recipies, there are still things on the market that no longer award that can be used for reservations of inf.
Argue that all you like.
If the level 53 recipes ever are taken away I have all this lovely old stuff just waiting for you. I double dog dare you to bid on them.
Go ahead, bid on them. You might just win. That's the way the market it supposed to work.
