  1. I destroy the self-esteem of the person below me in the most humiliating way possible: beating them in a video game.

  2. Scrappers are simple, fun, and effective. That's all there really is to it. Other AT's have flashier powers, or more complex team roles, and may ultimately be more powerful, but scrappers are simplistic, straight line, brute force problem solving at the most basic level.

After the responsibilities of playing a tanker, controller, or defender, it's extremely relaxing to just hop onto one of my scrappers and just kick the living **** outta guys. Hey, there's one of those guys that gave my defender all manner of problems! A few horrificly viscious kicks to the head, and I've avenged my defender.

Scrappers are fun, easy, and rewarding. It's not hard to see the appeal. Afterall, if brute force isn't working, you're not using enough.

    District 9

I give it a 5/10. Bland, forgettable, and underwhelming for most of the film. The ending firefight was very cool and the ending was moving, but the first hour or so of the movie was skippable. A decent rental choice, but not worth paying theater price (my wife actually walked out and got her money back, first time she's actually done that).
  4. Gladiator costume pieces are unlocked from finishing the Imperious Task Force in Cimerora.

Valkyrie costume pieces are unlocked with purchace of the 'Mac' special edition code (which can be used by PC users).
  5. I'll vote for Earth/Thermal. /Thermal does everything, turns Stoney into one mean, hard hitting son of gun, and even has a pbaoe 'self-heal' for soloing.

But what you really need is another Earth troller. The coolest thing I've seen in game is two Stoney's attacking in perfect sync, levelling Council soldiers left and right.

Other combos might do a particular thing better, but /Thermal is the jack of all trades, which appeals to me. It doesn't have a weakness.
  6. I triple-dog-dare the person below me to steal Sascha!

    Cry some more!
  7. Very impressive use of colours, and the poses are fantastic.

And on the chance you ever have free time ever again, it would be cool to see some art of Lady Fade (and more pictures for reference). Hard hitting, acrobatic hero by night. Hard drinking, tough as nails construction worker by day.

Welcome to the forums, and keep up the stunning work.

    They didn't. That's why it's "unofficial".
  9. I've always envisioned an Inv/SS tanker for an angel style character. The golden glow around your hands as holy power surging through you to smite enemies.
  10. Not a clue, everything's fine on my end.

    Wow! Sums that up nicely.
  12. My Fire/Stone tank massacred all the Faultline EB's pre-SO's. My Inv/SS is specced out as a ranged damage dealer just for kicks and does quite well at it. Tanks can do a great many awesome things, they just bloom late in the game.

Toughest tanker I've ever played: Inv/DM. It kinda feels like cheating, and he doesn't even have IO's yet.

    Martial Arts/

You mean aside from having to chase stunned mobs all over the place? Stuns are basically uncontrolled knockback. At least with knockback you can choose where the enemies fly off to. Stuns are pretty useless for scrappers/tankers in my opinion. They don't work on anything you'd actually need to stun, because it's either squishy and dead in a hit or two, or really tough and resistant to mezzes. If we're going to get a new secondary effect, why not get something that helps, rather than hinders, our killing ability: slows, improved damage, improved criticals, -res, etc.

I love that Eagle's Claw (here after referred to as EC) has 100% chance now, but I think it would give the set a theme overall, even if it is similiar to nrg melee.

I think this change would make a lot of players happy and try it out more. But with all the animation changes, even though very brief and untested personally, and the performance boosts, I'll take what I can get really.

I would have more than one MA toon, but I just live in fear that I would want to play it more than my main, and I love him too much for that.
Adding in a chance to stun would kill the set. I despise stuns. I'd rather they throw in kb than stuns.

Truth be told, I'd rather see endurance lowered, or damage raised.

That said, I love the MA set, currently having a MA/Regen, MA/WP, and a MA/Fire, all of which are a blast to play. I look forward to the day when I can roll up a MA/Shield and devote some serious playing time to it

    Dream Duo

One I'd like to try, Earth/Thermal troller and a Fire/Stone tanker. Not the 'best', but I play both of these builds and find both extremely fun and effective. Would be a blast.
  16. I pretty much play exclusively on Virtue. I use Pinnacle as my 'alt' server, where I go to try out new characters that very likely won't last. I've just always played on Virtue. Don't really roleplay, so I'm not sure why I'm connected to it.

Yes, Invincibility can be slotted with Taunt sets. One of, if not the only, aura that can.
  18. I'm currently a member of an SG composed of static RP teams. That said, we haven't been doing much of anything in a long time with the particular squad I'm involved in. One of the leaders took off to play with another sg all the time, and a number of people never could show up. Once the meeting day started changing, it was all downhill from there. Haven't really played in months. It's a shame too, when the whole goup was there, it was possibly the best fun I've had playing the game.

I'd definitely recommend giving it a try if you can find the right people. Can't say you'll be successful right off the bat, but when you find that solid group, it'll be a ton of fun.
  19. Make mistakes and asks questions. It's how the knowledgeable people learned in the first place.
  20. Little late to the party, but here's the new virtueverse page for Starflier.
  21. Inv/Elec Tanker. And I won't be waiting too long.

    Softcapped def?

The highest I've ever seen my defense was 115%, though I don't really keep track of it often. Getting to the hard cap would be ludicrously tough, and quite frankly a great big waste of potential.
  23. I'm only up to 32 on my Inv/DB tanker, but I'm looking forward to putting the BF->AV chain together. And it's always a good idea to slot up powers before judging them, as there are only a few (attack) powers that are at all impressive without slotting.

I do enjoy Attack Vitals on my stalker. The DoT on the end is nice when that guy just has a sliver of health left.
