    sg events are exclusionary to a great many people, removing the SG only aspect of game setup to allow intermingling of associated SGs and VGs means you may as well have an open event of find your own teams from the player pool as there are no locks in place.

    On servers as sparse on pvp numbers as the EU ones I fail to see benefit in an arena event that will end up being open to a small selection, there are far more pvpers in non pvp sgs than there are in them and their chances of rustling up a pvp team from non pvpers is slim.

    Just to get activity flowing again, I would like to do another Superteam sunday! I suppose this can go on all day, but personally I have to study during the day. However don't let that stop you! Log in and get a team going, our highest level member is 26, we need to catch up!

    At 7PM GMT I'll join in, and I hope to see a lot of Superteamers join me. If the level range is right, maybe we can do a SF. If not, there's plenty of missions to go around!

    Pre epic yes it can be but ive cold epic so its easy. snowstorm + web nade means they arnt moving fast anyway. After that you can trap them easy.

    Well thats one of the few possibly working combos that I can think of. Anyway, I'd be interested to duel /devs on defiant or test server to check them out. Cloaking device is pretty pointless in arena on its own however, and combined with smoke grenade the -percep lasts only a few seconds. (from my duels with Trix)

    I don't think the problem has ever been that /Dev can't be more than a Teleminer in PvP - especially not with a barrelful of HOs. Hell, I've even respecced my AR/Dev and found him to be 'useful' for hunting Stalkers and villain squishies, and general annoyance/amusement in Sirens and beyond - if you had a not-[censored] primary, I imagine you might even be able to make a 1v1 build, or an okay general support build. However, the sad truth of fact is that you're never going to be able to make a silk purse out of a pig's ear.

    Oh Im loving it now, superspeeding web grenading, stalker spotting insane damage machine, adding the virtually uninteruptable fire snipe into the attack chain is a thing of beauty. I have never felt so invincible on a squishy and hearing fire armour brutes complain about the fire damage hurting them too much is quite amusing

    Post 30 pvp I dont know how it will fare or if it will be so much fun but for now it rules the SC zone so long as I maintain my strength of will consumption.

    on a different note AR is sad at the moment, removing the draw root from it would help it a lot as its severly hampered by this and no other weapon sets have this issue now.

    Anyway, 2 thumbs up on fire/dev, its no longer the uber pling machine it used to be but it rocks in SC Im gonna make another for Union

    TBH you're far better off telkineses someone and use you're rrange damage, the telkineses will help people on you're team melee the target. what's better you might get a melee hit in or the two blasters will melee the heck out of the target? When we fought the pd's with a rad the raded targets started to run like hell, in a closed map it might have been good to go for tf for that extra damage but in a bigger one i wouldn't .

    tbh u dont know what you are on about, not being rude but its a fact, not discussing any fictional pvp team [censored] here, hes asking for help on an OFFENDER build as dictated by the thread title. And again no offence but you dont know anything about how the build synergises, I dont have a great deal of experience on mine but at least I can offer first hand information, there is a reason why every Rad/Sonic that PVPs is Rad/Sonic/Power on the US, you want TK? go roll a mind/rad and play to the strengths, total waste on this particular combo.

    Yeah, and I can testify that it is insanely good in duels. On the other hand, Im not sure if rad/sonic is a standard support toon anyway. If it would be, I guess psi epic might indeed work better in a team pvp situation.

    thats what i was saying, this shouldnt be considered a support toon, same as rad/psi shouldnt be, it weakens it a whole and takes away what makes it great. You should always play to a characters strengths.

    Its an end monster even when optimised and having leadership toggles will gimp the class to a far greater extent than tha team benefits it will bring (with the exception of vengence but thats essentially 3 powers, a ton of slots and end you cant afford without external backup)

    Theoretical PVP is all very good, "oh yeah I will have blah blah and blah blah" but the simple fact of the matter is that organised team pvp in the european circle is seldom and its far better to make your toon as self sufficient as you can. Stop thinking of rad/sonic as a defender and think of it as a blaster with debuffs and a uninteruptable self heal, I beleive the team will benefit far more from it, rad/psis and rad/sonics are pure offence on the US and from my own meagre experience this is right.

    Screech is a 10s mag3 stun. PB'ed and 3-slotted with dis dur it's still only 35s. You'd have to play in some sort of weird alternate universe when kins didn't perma-ID everyone, no one used break frees, and sonic/emps didn't use CM/clarity for it's mez aspect to be useful in a team pvp setting.

    Screech is great because it's another ranged -20% res.

    screeches strength is NOT in being another -20% res as your other 3 st damaging attacks will be all the stacking -res you can get before the -res effect starts falling off. Its strength is a ranged stun, simple as.

    dont, powerboosted screech is a thing of beauty and firing that off will mean cm blanket is a must detracting the opposing emp from healing. The ranged stun is the jewel in sonics set in pvp.

    Rad sonic is an offensive juggernaught not merely support and he doesnt have the end to run TK. Rad/sonics have more in common with blappers than defenders and losing power mastery means losing a 800 hit point total focus.

    as soon as someone notices they've got rad on them they'll be running all over the map so i doubt you will get in melee hit anyways, but with telkineses you cant set up the kills and help with the damage and let the blasers aid you in taking down the target. in team pvp you'll often have sb, ra, and ab.

    So u r telling me that if a target has rad debuffs on them then nobody on the team can get a melee hit on them? rad/sonics got can melee hit as easily as anyone else /em rolleyes

    rad defenders have inv scrapper levels of s/l damage res and a self heal, I won a SHW ffa yesterday on mine quite comfortably. Rad/Sonic is not a typical defender class and shouldnt be played as such, its not support, its in the same class as Rad/Psi, go watch some US matches or trawl the US boards and get an idea of its strenghts, the way you seem to see it he may as well roll a empath.

  14. get a 3rd end red in acro, trust me,

    put a second micro into ss, you can prob take it out of sj as u will be using hurdle and cj as your unsupressed travel

    put a 3rd jump in cj

    you wont be able to run leadership toggles with the rest and run the debuffs AND attack

    You NEED conserve power even without leadership unless you are going to be SBd or ABd

    on the herobuilder when u go to chose which enhance u r putting in, click the "Spel Enh" circle and put the HOs in the build

  16. I recently respecd my Fire/Dev blaster BlazeZen on defiant from her old spec of a flying ghost sniper into something a bit more dynamic and involving. Now I havent included the slotting here as Im on my laptop and my screen is too small to use the herobuilder effectively but slotting has copious amounts of HOs in it and the coupe de grace in my opinion are the 3 acc/dams and 3 interupt reductions in blazing bolt (fire snipe) This is now enabling me to use snipe as almost a standard attack, I can fire it off and as soon as I go into the "crouch" can run around during the rest of the animation and this has increased my attack chain damage dramatically. With strength of wills in use my fire/dev is pretty monstrous in sirens call and though I havent done much post 30 PVP with it I did duel a lvl 50 claws/regen and held off to a 0-0 draw today, smoke grenade + cloak seems to be pretty awesome and everyone should 6 slot web grenades

    any why assume the scrapper is a moron and isnt aware of what is going on in the battle or watching his buff bar for various incoming attacks? and after 10 seconds of running after its no longer the same game, landing burst damage is what a blaster is about and the window can be very small.

    I would duel regens all day long on my ice/cold and rad/sonic but V SR its not such a favourable match, its all a trade off and one Im happy to see in the game. The main thing regen has going for it is geas which seems purpose built to screw over def sets that much more, when people use it def is gone, when def sets use it its like a suicide pill, not really much of an accolade for some is it? Seems whoever designed that little accolade and the architech of the GDN would be one and the same and harbours a pathological hatred of defence.

    Depends what you're aiming for, really.

    If you want to be self-sufficient in your PvPing, go with Stalk's build. If you want to play kingmaker in PvP and be more useful in the RSF, take the shields and drop Medicine altogether. One of the key strengths of Corruptors in PvP is in the team buffs they can provide - I can't emphasise enough how awesome the /Cold Shields are in PvP, especially when coupled with other Corruptor buffs. A group of Corruptors providing reciprocal buffs will quickly chew through opponents, at least in Zonal PvP (having not played in a similar Arena/Raid PvP scenario). If you PvP with a team where you can trust on someone being around to provide heals, you won't miss Aid Self that much; if you're more fond of duelling, listen to Stalk.

    I play in all corr teams on the US servers and yeah, sheilds can be awesomebut as i found on the EU servers a reliable team buffing environment cant really be relied upon which is why I speccd out my recipriocal invis other for invisibilty and toggle it on my stalker. Its kinda annoying to have buffs and not be able to use them in the zones.

    though to put it into context, get 2 /colds buffing the team and you have a squad of SR+ villains, get 8 of them (yeah chance would be a fine thing) and its a team on elude

    I do like being able to go into any zone and be totally self sufficient though
  19. They are awesome, the slows are insane, I took mu mastery for epic as felt i needed the extra end rec of powersink, now I wish i took scorpion for the web envelope. Stupid Stupid cov no epic changes. I seem to remember them saying "you cant change villain epics but they will be more powerful than hero ones to compensate" my backside.

    hmm i much prefer picking on regens than SRs, a sharp SR will be well away when u pop pb/aim/bu and then dodge a good deal of incoming damage while a regen has to take pretty much all thrown at it. I destroy regens on my DM/SR stalker (all in the timing) my rads and my ice/cold where as SRs are the only thing that really can cause them any problems.

    SRs also have slow resistance which shouldnt be underestimated
