I think leaders vs others might be a good one. Im sure some of the bigger supergroups can form up some sort of team but we dont really want to exclude people. The purpose of this is not for bragging rights but just to have some fun and get more people interested into pvp.

I'd like to come along. I haven't done anywhere near as much arena pvp as i'd like. If it is a VG event i'll be there with the Violators.
What lvl would this be at? And when are you thinking of doing it?
Depending on time, date, and type of event, I'll see if I can get LoUD to throw something together - no point in me making suggestions though, because we're just not that organised.

well the point of this thread is to find out what tyope of evnt people would prefer and sort of plan a date that would best suite everybody
as for the non sg event im sure we can plan one of those to run soon after this one the main reason for this one is the raid system is so royaly screwed up it isnt funny so a nice lil bit of orgonised pvp well help replace that a lil till they finaly fix it

ok i do have a sujestion of my own to put forword we are making since this ones sg related some groups such as my own have both a hero and villian side what about being able to pout forword a best of team where the have there best toons from both side in one team

Maybe something like 8v8 knockouts. I only say knockouts as that can be done all in one night, and I'm sure most SGs can gather 8 members?
I know there would be atleats 5 SGs there with a team, if not more.
Maybe a few SG Rumbles to, these are always fun, fun.... and laggy 
This is an excellent idea mate, 6 a side ? and restrict it to 1 AT per team maybe.
we could throw a few teams each at it then, and those VG's that dont have SG's and vice versa could team up.
I havent checked yet but im sure The Horde and MoX will be interested in this.
I think Retribution + Associates might try and field a team.
sg events are exclusionary to a great many people, removing the SG only aspect of game setup to allow intermingling of associated SGs and VGs means you may as well have an open event of find your own teams from the player pool as there are no locks in place.
On servers as sparse on pvp numbers as the EU ones I fail to see benefit in an arena event that will end up being open to a small selection, there are far more pvpers in non pvp sgs than there are in them and their chances of rustling up a pvp team from non pvpers is slim.

the main thinking behind doing an sg event first is alot of us are missing the raid system as its so messed up right now its almost impossible to get one started but no doubt we iwll orgonise someting soon after for everybody and on that note i already have a simple idea
how about a king of the AT event this ones a simple one basicly we hold a series of last man standing matchs exclusive to one AT the winner gets braging right of beating down every other challanger in there AT

I agree rustling up a pvp team from non pvpers is impossible, but, rustling up a group of SG members for anything isnt. Youll find players will jump to attention for any aspect of the game, what ever it is, to represent their SG.
Just like the excuse, Cant team, doing SG stuff tonight. SG comes first, some may not agree :P
SG Events are exclusionary yes, but the point of this thread is to give SGs something to do, equivalent to Base Raids and SG Missions. As they dont happen much due to bugs with bases and SG Missions not yet being part of the game - tut tut
There a many PvP Events that are open to everyone, but would be very nice to have a few that are for SGs.

I like this Idea, but not for tanks

Some Ideas:
5v5, level 30 (Sirens Call Style) - 10 Man Domination
10v10, level 14 - Last Man Standing
Pentad Fights, level 40 - Timed
SG Rumble, level 12 15 Man Domination
Team Battle Royal, up to 8 SGs, 5per team, level 50 15 Man Domination
Just anything thats new, fun and team orientated.

PS. Would be nice to have this Thread in the PvP Section.
6 man teams.( can be hard to get every1 online at the same time sometimes. IMO 5/6 man teams can be found easy enough)
Test server. ( means people who have PvE builds can respec into PvP builds)( means friends from different SGs can make a new SG on test and take part)( means you get to beat on Defiant etc )
Type/length of match. This should depend on number of teams taking part. Leader of each team should have to PM Max or scotlands_bru with team name a week before event. after that you guys could decide on whats best. Either 2 small leagues with the winners meeting in the final or a knockout comp but like S4 where teams can be guaranteed 2 matchs.
ATs. Max of 2 the same works well. Might make it new/interesting if each team has to have at least 2 villains/heroes in it.
GL with this guys, hope it works out 
the trouble is in the EU u'll struggle to get more than 3 or 4 teams involved if the team size is more than 2

You know, we could do it like people did in Magic the gathering here. There could be a 'beginners tournament', which would be the same as a normal tourney with one exception. It would have a list of people banned from it, on grounds of being too experienced in PVP. Im pretty sure it wouldn't require much from the pvp community to come up with this list after a bit of discussion. Can use global handles even.
Naturally there would be another tourney open for all, but the idea with beginners tournament would be to avoid starting PVPers going against the 'professionals' and getting crushed.

something i found with my own group is the best way to event the scores in arena if experiance was aconcern is drop the lvl of combat to something relatively low it makes for some funnny as hell matchs and normaly a good laff but not sure it would fit this tourni idea but then this is why this thread was made for your feed back on the ideas put here

ok this is just a short update myself an max are working on the details of the event we are going to set up however still arent to sure what exactly it wil be yet

hello one and all its time again for some arena actoin myself and max khaos have been talking and wont to set up some sort of eg arena event our only problem is we have no idea what to do so im starting this thread to get some feedback fom you lot and find out just how many would be interested
so what type of matchs would you like to see how do you tihnk it should be orgonised anytihng else you can think of to make it interesting post it here
once we get an idea of the most popular things we will line up the event and let you lot know one way or another
