  1. Spoilers ahead for the unwary!

    Like this "kiddo"-business.
Twinshot is a former member of the US Special Forces turned cocky superhero. I would be surprised if she doesn't call anyone short of Statesman or General Aarons 'kiddo'.

Its MMO Law: Thou Shalt Always Progress Thine Character On The Heroes' Journey. You're level 5, you're just a couple levels out of busting womprats in Beggars' Canyon. Storywise, you're not supposed to be a well-trained veteran, hence why you don't have access to the Leadership or Presence pools. There's nothing stopping you from saying that your character had a long and detailed heroic/villainous history, but the game as its been designed since opening day was not set up that way.

But it also goes to what I said above. Twinshot has been around long enough to not only get into the special forces, but to also hang with Eddie Poelstra. She's somewhere between John Rambo and Wally West. To her, just about everyone bouncing around Atlas Park is a junior hero.

With it's introduction any balancing done to broadsword is going to have to simultaneously avoid stepping on both Katana and Titanic Weapon's toes. I think it's more logical to assume that broadsword will remain as some sort of 'grand fathered' option so as not to upset whatever player base enjoys the set as it is, while Titanic Weapons is meant to replace it.

I'd be delighted to be wrong, of course.
I'm pretty sure you're right. Synapse said in a recent chat that he had ideas in revamping old sets that he's using for entirely new sets. Titan Weapons may have been what he had in mind for ol' Broadsword.
  3. The data link doesn't work, but off the bat:

    - Combat Training: Offensive is pretty much useless with as much Accuracy and To Hit you'll be getting. I'd dump that and maybe even Tactics as well.
    - Health is overslotted for an archetype with a base 1071 HP. Take two slots, use the Numina's and Miracle procs instead.
    - On those notes, taking Aid Self with an interrupt IO is better mitigation. Yes, you'll need Aid Other, but you'll want those heals ASAP when those natural 20s start rolling.
    - I guess its a matter of taste, but Swipe, Strike, and Follow-Up make for a nice solid chain with Slash and Lunge. Follow-Up also gives you a nice solid 30 to 60% damage buff in said chain instead of 80% every 30 seconds or so.

Both parts of Gambler count for the crit now, at least that's what Mids' is telling me. Spreadsheet answer: Gambler has better DPA than Sting. Gameplay answer: Gambler is faster, recharges faster, and packs quite a bit of a punch. Also because it recharges faster, it procs more, so its a perfect place to slot the Achilles proc.

Purple in Caltrops? That's going to be one of those "I'm doing this because I can!" things, isn't it? Still, it amuses me, and sounds pretty effective.
Ragnarok's proc gives a 20% chance for knockdown, and I'm fairly certain that procs every ding. So you can have great fun watching everyone stumble about like you just activated Banana Peels.

Here's the build I have planned for my ninja. His damage is a little behind, but he's capped to Ranged and AoE and is a DA away from capping melee. He can run DA-GC-GD-SD as a chain with Hasten up, has a bit of AoE to himself as well, and is built to take advantage of the Musculature alpha. I might switch over an extra slot to Caltrops just to keep it open in case I land the Ragnarok proc.

  6. Claws/Elec/Mu brute. Not a high AoE power count, but Spin is up fast, your taunt aura scales with Fury, and you have Electric Fences and Ball Lightning too. Very fun at high levels, even on SOs.

Night Widow / Mu. Again with Spin and the Mu AoEs, but you trade the taunt aura in for relatively easy soft-capping. I have a relatively cheap build that can handle at least 51/8.

And in both cases you can shred through hard targets pretty easily too, especially with the widow.

I distinctly remember heavy troopers. I think all the ones I ran were at 40 or close to it, though. Maybe its dependent on level?

I've taken a stalker, blaster, and brute through Sutter, and thoroughly enjoyed all three runs. You don't have to like it, you don't have to go along, but at the least you can take that condescending attitude elsewhere.

They buff the incarnates until you die 10 times faster than ever before because everyone gets in button mashing frenzy. The screen fills up with smoke, and you d/c 3 times from a memory leak that doesn't exist on NCSoft side but your computer tells you to restart.

The praetorians NPCs are unmezzable, have zero recharge on attacks, and the devs fill Atlas Park with them.
If you're on ATI, upgrade to 11.9. Its just that good.

As for the Praetorians, we rolled them like warmed over Council on Virtue redside.

    How?

I've seen one in the same corner on Virtue.

I busted him, of course. Keep City Hall clean!

From what little experience I have, I'd wager it performs better than decently. A lot of quick recharging attacks to make the brutes and scrappers happy, combo bonus damage to make the tankers happy, AoEs to make the stalkers happy, and debuffs and mitigation too? There's a little of something for almost everyone in the set. Its a nice toolset for all the melee ATs.

And oh yeah, you don't need the calculator either.

Both the original poster and the developers are at fault.

    Disagree.

If you disagree with the statement, how do you answer the complaints that the developers are not forthcoming with information that helps players make an informed decision?
Its not the developers' fault if the buyer was impatient and made an impulse buy before more information was provided. In fact, the fact that said buyer made the purchase without even having that information would lead one to believe they were ever interested in making an informed decision to begin with.
