"I am more than happy to join this alliance." His helmet tilted slightly to regard the glass.
"I am sure, however... You will forgive me if I do not drink" he chuckled. -
"I must say, the only point that I will not compromise on is that we will burn Paragon to the ground. It is too much of a stronghold, too much of a bastion, and too much of a hope to be left standing. If we don't, I can almost garentee that we will face opposition and rebellion from it.
All other points I am more than happy to agree to... Especially yours, Borealis. You seem to be a person with similar needs as mine." -
"I don't know about you, but i have plans, and plans withing those plans set out to conquer most of this globe." Adam began.
"However, even after a month of dissapearing, and laying stronger roots, even after defeating Back Alley Brawler and Requiem, I feel I couldn't take the combined might of Paragons heroes.
What we all want the world for is of course, the power. As of yet, I know I know I don't have enough power to take the world on my own. Perhaps with time, but I fear... Certain enemies would prevent me from doing so."
He gave a few moments for his words to sink in.
"However, united, we hold the same advantage as the heroes do. Remember the Longbow raid onto the Rogue Isles in an attempt to retrieve those who had escaped when Arachnos first stole "Destined Ones" away?
They reclaimed a dozen, at most, because the villians that had escaped were desperate to preserve their freedom, and willingly co-operated. The Longbow organisation is at least as strong as many of this worlds Militaries, so, if a concentrated effort to preserve could defeat one of the biggest superpowers-and i mean that in the sense of concentration of metas, rather than, say, America or China-then I don't see why an effort to destroy wouldn't succeed as admirably. I am, personally, willing to make a large amount of compromises to gain such power.
If we must fight towards the end, I would be happy to, but, if we want a truly stable society, it would be unwise to do so. To fight among ourselves would promote political unrest, and would lead to us waging war on our own citizens.
I am willing to share rule, in order to keep it." -
I know my Bots/FF has soloed AVs, admittedly, though, the bots have -regen. But surviving's no problem, it's just attrition, granite vs sandstone

Adam smiled under his helmet as Hatesman came in. He was ever so entertaining when he was like this.
"He is ineffecient in this state, Adam"
"Yes, but the destruction he causes is far more unpredictable, and done with greater ferocity and intensity..." Adam thought to himself and his AI unit.
XV gave the mental equivalent of a shrug and closed the mental link. He brought his mind back into focus from half thoughts, half programs of melee based destroyers in his mind to listen to Pistol speak.
"Oh, what do you propose we do?" He quizzed.
"After all, we won't get much done without a plans..."
XV loaded up the folders with the thousands of nanite infections, nuclear bombarbment plans, and full scale invasions he'd planned, as he thought to himself.
"Ah, thanks" he said to the unit. -
Adam smiled as the mansion came into view. The armored suit he wore completely encompassed his body, covered in thick plating. Two mechanical wings jutted from his back, and two forcefield amplifiers, designed to look like huge gears, one set on each shoulder One of his hands was covered in a bulky gauntlet, the other wasn't so easily removed. It was through that that he head heard XV speak into his mind via the nerves in his flesh and steel arm:
" I am quite sure that this is safe, nevertheless, i'd make sure you didn't eat" It intoned.
"I'll be fine" Adam said into his featureless grey helmet, the sound completely muffled outside, as if a world away.
"Let's see what Pistol wants, shall we?" -
Apologies, by "How?" i meant "How would they get to Earth?". IIRC, praetoria's dimension technology is almost exclusively in the hands of Antimatter and Neuron, and by association the evil FP. Just curious to know how you planned we get around that.
-
Personally, i think 3-slotted hover's pretty quick, plus it tends to keep you out of melee range for their attacks, and lets you pop in and whack them yourselves.
-
Well, i'm interested, as i think we've discussed... Only possible problem i can see is: "How?"
-
Adam stepped out of his lab, a seeker flying out above his head from the halls of the mechanical hallows. He had absolutely no idea where the girl was, but he needed to find her. Even if Rip had only left scraps, he'd be able to salvage something to tell him how to destroy them. He'd sent a letter of alliance to Rip, proposing they fight together until all of the frames had been destroyed. It was only until then, of course, Rip had been just as eager as BUO, up until he'd realised how much of a threat it was. The seekers were scouring the isles, he'd even dispatched a few to paragon. He sighed, hoping he hit lucky. He wasn't too fond of his other option... He turned his head to regard the line of Assault Bots. All were inactive, reserves for when his primary robot was destroyed, but, in dire need, he could mobilise them all.
Is something wrong, Adam? as always, the voice resonated in his head.
"If more firepower isn't the right way to handle him, i'm wasting all the robots for nothing" he replied aloud.
We'll find the girl. Or her corpse. It matters not what state we find her in, just that we find her. XV replied.
"Of course" said Adam, nodding and launching himself into the air and towards Cap au Diable.
"But can we do it in time?" -
Well put, Dante. Godmodding with it will still get a /ignore, and good plots can do whatever the hell they like with it, as far as i'm concerned, i mean, when's game canon ever spoiled good plots? (That and game canon has natural origins asking for enchies, and physical categories of "Blaster" "Scrapper" etc, so i tend to take it with a pinch of salt)

I've already got my alt's coz ready and his name reserved. He's from the far future, where a new threat from the dark heart of space has appeared, and their most devestating weapons are the chronobombs, things that supposedly remove you from the space time continum. But, as Blade's about to find out, they, more accurately, give a blast from the past...

Heh, my problem's sort of similar, this completely borks shydow's early history. He ran a dimensional organisation that stopped all the dimensions getting too similar and intermingling. I sort of ignore it now, but it's still there, and, uh... The menders do exactly the same thing, thus nullifying the groups existance. Good job i can now time travel and retcon it, eh?

Group Name: Arcane Conclave

You are evil because, I dunno, a hero stole your girlfriend and you're now trying to kill all the heroes in hope that you'll get a girlfriend (Bad example, I know

That's scarily similar to the origin of XV's all consuming hatred of all that is good and pure. -
Due to a few comp problems, i'll be rather late tonight. 8:00 earliest, i'm afraid!
-
I've recently got my Photon Seekers, and am loving them, even unslotted, however, i've heard that slotting them for damage dosn't do anything, is this true? Thanks for replies.
-
Is there any sort of Rikti ship raid that happens with any regularity? I'm aware defiant has one, but i can't seem to find one for union.
-
I actually like Havoc's idea!

The incentives could be tricky to get right. Putting a loved one in real, mortal danger could have the wrong sort of effect on some characters, especially if the scarcity of items to retrieve drives them to desperation.

This is what i meant about tone, and I am inclined to agree.
(Ps, that wasn't a critiscism, more a suggestion) -
Sneaking isn't the only weapon in Shydow's arsenal! There's also begging, borrowing, stealing... So long as it's in the general spirit of having a laugh. He's not going to actually HURT anyone... Tenebrous does that for him
-
I'm probably going to have to leave about 9ish tonight. Other than that, I'll be there again!
-
Like I said, Shy will most definately be bumbling around people's houses at night with a badly drawn map, trying to find where they keep their sword/gun/armor/shoes.
-
Then i'm bringing Shy back. Something like this is right up his alley. (If it were more serious i'd probably bring XV)
-
I was just wondering, what's the tone of the event like? Is it going to be deathly serious, or is there room for some Tenacious D like escapades to try and get some of the stuff?
