I like typing. There is something more elegant about communicating that way. (ok maybe this is only me)
I am usually disappointed when I hear a players voice, because it just doesnt match their toon or my mental imagery of 'who they are'.
I wont use it under normal play. However, for TFs or base raids, it does help to have voice with coordination.

nice Jad, ty. what lvl can you get into and what zone can you enter from? I have been on test but i have only been messing with some of the proliferation sets.

my kids are still too young to play the game, but they love to create the costumes. I have 2 servers dedicated to just my kids toons. They make the costumes and I will lvl them to 2. Then that toon is pretty much done heh.
I do have a friend that lets her kids play tho. She only lets them team with people from her friends list. That way she can control who her kids interact with. I think that is a pretty good idea. When my kids are old enough to play as well I will probably use that as one of my rules as well.
It is more restrictive, but it allows for teams and more peace of mind.

GJ peter, learned a couple things in all that and confirmed some things I experienced!!
I don't understand the people that DO NOT take part in the market. Even if they want to stick to the conventional system of enhancements you still need influence. What a better way to earn influence then sell all that stuff you collect but wont use anyway?!

I still dont see why everyone gets their panties in such a twist about the vet rewards. They arent game breaking or tip the balance of one toon versus another.
I regard them as any other perk that must be earned in the game. Sure I would love to have Atlas medallion, portal jockey, etc. etc. on a lvl one toon but guess what, those things must be earned thru game play.
Kind of makes vet rewards the easiest thing to earn as a player in this game, all you have to do is pay and play!

yea time cards SHOULD work. If you are paying to keep your account active then it shouldnt matter what form payment takes. It is time accrued on account.

This makes me also wonder about the folks who cant wait and simply want to BUY things instead of earn them like everyone else, are these the same people that use the gold farmers?? Somebody has to be using them or they would simply go away.

I find it kind of funny that one of the common responses to vet rewards is that the game will be short lived!! Really?? People wouldnt get all worked up about it if they didnt like the game! If the game is good then it will continue on. CoX has a future.

The vet rewards arent anything that shifts the balance of the game. It is simply a matter of haves and have nots. Period. If you like the game, play the game, if not getting your vet rewards NOW NOW NOW is really going to ruin your experience then that is, I am sorry to say, unfortunate for you. I havent been playing that long so I dont have all the rewards yet. When they announce the next vet reward it does not anger me that I wont get it right away. I look forward to the day when I can get it and I am pretty sure the game will still be here to allow me to earn them!!

the whole "vet rewards = unfair" argument is gettin old. they are here so deal with it. I am not sayin it is fair, just that it is the system we have and obviously devs arent gonna backtrack now. I wont get any of the good rewards for awhile, but it doesnt effect my game play and probably wont after i do receive them.

heh, Zhao, you can count me on that list. I purchased the game on a whim, and THEN read a little about it. I dont pvp much and so I have yet to even load the game!

Well Blazing, for starters welcome to the forums! I applaud your desire to help out other players as I feel that is the primary goal of this forum.
You can expect to get FEEDBACK on anything you post no matter how well intentioned. If you can avoid taking criticism personally and use what you learn here to make yourself a better forumite then we can all benefit from what knowledge you may be able to impart.
Memphis_Bill has a point tho. My suggestion is to look your post over again and try to make it:
1-easier to read
2-more comprehensive (realize this is your experience and not THE only answer, {unless you are dealing with more technical issues where quantifiable values may be discussed}).
3-keep up the effort, this is a community endeavor after all!

Did i miss a link to the costumes somewhere in this thread or are they no longer posted anywhere? I would like to see how creative peeps can be with the pallet provided by the hero/villain creator. I can usually be inspired by them.

Get your travel power as soon as you can! My first toon was always last to mish and I found that frustrating. I didnt realize, until he was 18th that what I needed was a travel power! duh, you say but as a newb I just wanted the next attack for my scrapper!
Furthermore on the OMG I am so stoopit! With that same toon running missions in the hollows (and remember no travel power) after being defeated I would always hit the hospital immediately. I was lucky to have some patient teams that would wait for me to sloooooowly run back. Finally someone explained that some other team members often had the ability to res me on the spot! How convenient!! Okay so that is REALLY basic stuff but I didn't know it right off the bat. Happy hunting all

dual blades will be kool looking I am sure. I was just hoping for something different considering we already have two blade sets. (still want staff set but in woeful minority here) But that was the list we had to vote on. New content is always welcome and I am preparing myself for the onslaught of dual weaponed wielding hordes. I will probably get around to rolling one up sometime in the future, after the fotm craze has waned.

Step 2 would be to broadcast availability of mish and go on to VICTORY! I always offer badge mishes up to the masses, after of course including friends and sg mates. I have seen them offered at a price and I don't think that is unreasonable, but I don't personally do that.

Very kool! I am happy they have finally added a function allowing you to check name availability. Can't say how many times I have rolled up a sweet alt only to have to revamp because the name I had planned to use was gone!! Gotta be a complete package to get any lovin from me, otherwise they linger at 8 for a very long time.
