  1. That's a really good drawing.

And yes... the skirt is a wee bit short... but who's complaining? Noooo. Besides... I know how good Missy K is with those legs.
  2. OK. now that we have so many people with the GvsE pass...

can we relocate the 'spawn point' for the VIP teleport to someplace other than the STAGE?

Cos, yanno, we might actually want to use this as a venue for an event (costume contest, pun contest, etc etc etc)... and having people spawning on the stage kinda messes with that in a rather intrusive way.
  3. Figured you put it there for critiques and 'volunteer' subjects.

I'd say, keep drawing, keep posting. Just because no one's knocking your door down is no reason to put a "We're Closed" sign up, neh?

Besides, I like your stuff, it's a lot better than my feeble attempts.

  4. Mmm. Yet another artist to put on the "watch" list.

This is a really good piece.
  5. A Wii???

    ye gods....

    /em doubletake

You can play CoX on a Wii?

  6. Oooo... niiice.

*adds Farlow to the list of potential commissions*

... what? I've a lot of ideas, and some excess cash in my pocket....
  7. The biggest thing you'll need to have is PATIENCE.

Especially with the big-name artists like GillBates or DarkJedi. Their queues fill up fast, and so a 'christmas' commish may take several months. The folks with not quite as big a following may be able to get to yours faster... but it still won't be overnight unless yours is the first one they get after a long hiatus (which in the case of pro artists equates to 'living off of ramen noodles'....)

That said, find someone with a style you like, and send them a PM. Or hit their website.

Be prepared to send some cash in advance - many artists work on a half and half basis - half up front, half on completion. Or they'll do prelim sketches first, then expect payment (or partial payment) once you've decided on a pose.

Also as much as you'd like to post the 'stages of completion' for public review, resist the urge, and ASK the artist if he or she minds you doing this, before you post. After all, they want to showcase the final product... and the WIP stuff isn't always what they want people to see. Most artists will be cool with posting pencils/inks/flat colors once the complete work is delivered, but again, ask before posting.

Whatever you do, do NOT air dirty laundry in public - keep any issues you have with the commission between you and the artist. Else you will probably alienate not only the person doing the work, but also the other artists who frequent these forums... and it may be difficult to get a commission once you've branded yourself as a 'prima donna' client. So, don't go there.
  8. I soo need to learn how to do that in GIMP... I've a sketch by Quohog that has been begging for color for a year... and then there's Jim Tessier's Torch Juggler sketch too...

Blitzkrieg looks GREAT! I do so love SHia's work, and your coloring looks pretty spiff so far too!
  9. OOooo.

    Only one nitpick.

Obviously they both jumped/slammed through a plate-glass window... and both have shredded portions of uniform...

and yet neither Warfox nor Brittannia have any cuts on skin.

    are both Invuln? or what?

Aside from that, man, gotta love the composition and the details.

When these two 'get together'... property damage ensues!

(Still wanna see a "Brit and Warfoxy at home" sketch, kind of like the Looney Tunes skit where the hound and fox clock out together after chasing each other all over creation for 30 minutes... or maybe Brittannia'd be serving tea and looking a bit miffed, while Warfox has her boots propped up on the coffee table and an insolent look on her face...)
  10. aw man, this is what I get for ignoring the forums while off playing WoW....

Cos, yanno, it would have been cool to get Betty Highside in on this...
  11. Soul Train

    Commission WIP

Wow... how do you get so much detail and depth into the preliminary sketch anyhow?

as for the PDA... hey leave 'em alone, it's obviously a Hallmark moment!

Mannn... I had my succubus all tricked out... and the game crashes! Something about her costume wasn't loading right.
  13. OO.

    Heather's lookin' good.
  14. (( "In" joke for those who played Red Alert 2 ))

An Electric Brute (or blaster) standing between two clockwork, who have set up an electrical arc between them and him. "A little more.. up the amperage a bit.. AH! Perfect... thanks for the jumpstart, guys."

Or some pedestrian approaching TA with a set of jumper cables... "Uh, mister... my car won't start..."
  15. Niice.

And yeah... always wondered why the object would be 'blurred' when your eyes are tracking it perfectly.... it's the BACKGROUND that zips by!
  16. Unlike others, Shia doesn't do 'work in progress'... shia is too FAST for that.

*blink* what you're done already?? whoa.
  17. Hoo-leee shyte... that is beyond awesome.
