Quote:So do I, otherwise I wouldn't play solely Dominators and Controllers, but with slightly less damage even more often it'll see a lot more wasted power uses. There are powers like Heat Loss, with 360 second recharge, that can be easily wasted now if there are enough nukes available on a team to cover the downtime.Honestly I find Control sets to be pretty monstrous in their own element.
I'll still be soloing the majority of the time, but with these changes I feel there's even less incentive for me to team up with others. -
With melee damage being good already and ranged damage getting a lot better, where does that leave support and control sets? Particularly when the nukes recharge faster and have more impact than a lot of hard controls. It already happens with Judgement powers but at least they're level 50 only and the only content at that point is stuff where control is useless anyway.

In the same video that the nerf was announced, nukes have been announced as crashless AND up every 2 minutes (around one minute with slotting, of course).
Of course, I feel sorry for the 4 minute base recharge AoE Holds now. What's the point in them when nukes will be up twice as often? -
Bonfire/Tornado will have a chance of knockdown on each tick rather than 100% chance with the Overwhelming Force proc.

Quote:I knew about the others but not Tunnel Rat. I'm sad now. There goes my theory!Tunnel Rat has moved over to the other project Paragon Studios is working on.
This is the same project that Second Measure, Black Scorpion, TheDarkWatcher, Hero 1, The Television and Noble Savage have moved to as well.
There may be others that have shifted to the other project that I'm forgetting but these are the ones that come to mind immediately. -
I wouldn't put the ATO in Carrion Creepers. You'll get much more mileage out of the proc if you put it in Roots.
-
I have noticed that Honey Badger has been doing all the visually intensive powersets recently - he worked on Beam Rifles, Water Blast and Nature Affinity (not sure about Dark Control). Tunnel Rat must have been doing something! After all, she hasn't been frequenting her FX thread as much of recent.

It'd probably be more likely that a Fencing set is made than new animations from Broadsword.
-
Possibly refer to support pets as allies? I support anything that makes less used powerset types more prolific. Shame it'll never happen though.

Though I'd support more ATs using Control and Assault. -
Well Fiery Assault has access to Embrace of Fire which makes your fire attacks significantly more damaging. On the other hand, Dark Assault has survivability and a significantly better PBAoE whilst also allowing you to make your controls and debuffs more powerful.
-
In a Twitch TV chat Arbiter Hawk said that Drain Psyche wouldn't be nerfed because it's been as it is for a long time and there's no point nerfing old powers at this point in the game's life. This would extend to Hasten, Weave, Seeds of Confusion, etc.
-
I don't mind the animations of the dog, per se, but what I don't like is how the dog's basic model is very much visible. It would be a lot better if that was completely transparent and the dark cloud effects over the top of it were more abundant... And the barking silenced.
-
There have been sillier things that have had whole sets devoted to them... Like Beam Rifle, Street Justice, Axe, Maces and Titan Weapons. They could have all been customisation options.
-
Even if Illusion Control comes to Dominators I probably wouldn't make a serious one unless Illusion Assault is also made.
-
They could fix this by making Bonfire give a debuff to enemies so they become vulnerable to knockback. It wouldn't change the original power's purpose and it would make Bonfire less overpowered. The same thing could be given to Tornado.

What sort of arbitrary scoring system are you using? Mind has vastly superior tools available to it than Ice Control will ever have and at least Mind can set up containment with Mass Hypnosis or Total Domination - Ice Control has to use Frostbite or Glacier, the former of which can be suicidal, because Flash Freeze sucks compared to Mass Hypnosis.
I personally think that Frostbite, Crushing Field and Electric Fences should grant enemies +95% knockback resistance, much like the Overpowering Force IO. The latter two immobilises don't have any knockback resistance which can also prove to be a hindrance to the users, for example a Gravity Controller may be in a position where they can't mitigate Wormhole's knockback easily whilst an Electric Controller's Gremlins often stack their Jolting Chains together to cause chaos. It would make Gravity/Storm less chaotic, which some may not like, but at least they would be more team friendly whilst still taking advantage of knockdown. -

Better? -
Seeds of Confusion can last long enough and recharge fast enough that it can be pretty much perma, not that mobs last that long. It can miss but if it does then those enemies will die pretty soon afterwards anyway. Bonfire is all or nothing. If it's resisted then you're a sitting duck.
-
Bonfire is really no more overpowered than Seeds of Confusion. One stops enemies from attacking whilst making sure they take lots of damage and being up every mob, the other is Bonfire.

Get every Souvenir.

A glowing version of the Scanner (detail one) would be nice. It looks like it should glow, at least.
-
There's a lot more to Cold Domination than the three shields - there's Sleet, Arctic Fog, Benumb and Heat Loss. Lots of useful debuffs and buffs among them.

Play something without toggles? Problem solved!

I'd like to see more mutant-like costume parts. We have a lot of clothes and armour now so maybe sets based around aquatic or nature mutations. Lobster claws, coral reef shoulders/back details, etc for aquatic. For nature, things like branches, bark textures, gnarled root boots, shrubbery shoulders.
They're pretty concept specific but so are some of the stranger parts of the Cosmic Corsair costume... Like that back detail. What is it supposed to be?
