    We actually have more vowels than English! A, E, I, O, U, W and Y.

Here in North Wales it's only really in the villages that you find fluent Welsh people. Also, the further west you go the more they speak the language so there will probably be a lot more Welsh speakers in Anglesey than Wrexham, for example.

    Also:

Mae hen wlad fy nhadau yn annwyl i byd
Gwlad beirdd a chantorion, enwogion o fri
Ei gwrol ryfelwyr, gwladgarwyr tra mad
    Tros ryddid gollasant eu gwaed

Gwlad, gwlad, pleidiol wyf i'm gwlad
Tra mor yn fur i'r bur hoff bau
    O bydded i'r heniaith barhau

    There's more but that's all that's sang.
  2. I'm not an expert on these things, but the word 'country' is often used synonymously with 'state' and 'nation'. The three terms do refer to different things though.

Here are a few quick definitions:

    State = Political entity
    Nation = Cultural entity
    Country = Geographical area

    Applying this to the UK:

The UK is both a sovereign state and a nation, uniting the four constituent countries under one state; each of these being their own nations due to cultural differences. Wales and the other constituent countries are not states because none of them have a complete administration and therefore are not recognised by the UN as separate political entities. However, each constituent can count as a different country as they all have their own borders separating the geographical areas.

This only matters if you recognise each of those three terms as their own words and not simply synonyms. If you use them as synonyms then no, Wales is not a country, nor is it a state or a nation. Neither are Scotland, England and Northern Ireland.

I've probably missed some crucial historical and political details, but this is from a semasiological perspective.
  3. Sorry Damz, but at least it went to another Welshy!
  4. Wimbledon distracted me.

    Well done though!

    Umm Codes?

Noooooo!! I got to 'Upgrade Account' I was a second or two slow.
  6. Then I may start trying again with the next ones. Doubt I'll get one though.
  7. I think I'll just buy it tomorrow. I keep on getting distracted by stuff and missing these.
  8. My finger slipped just before I hit enter.

    Umm Codes?

It came up as claimed when I clicked on it after 4 seconds.
  10. It was claimed at least 10 minutes ago.
  11. Sounds interesting. I'd probably make a toon or two on Union for it because Defiant is solely for the Karma Police.
  12. English - Fluent
Welsh - Mostly fluent but I'm better at reading it

I know smatterings of Italian and Japanese but not enough to have a decent conversation with someone who's fluent.
  13. Well I'm just using SOs at the moment... Or I was until I ran out of inf (laziness) and my enhancements turned red. I have plenty of stuff I can sell when I can be bothered though.

I very rarely solo anyway. I love the SG that I'm a member of.

Ever heard of something called concept? Obviously not.

The original poster asked for Earth so we're giving Earth advice. Plant is not Earth so therefore you can't read, or maybe the Seeds have gone to your head.
  15. I'm really enjoying my Earth/Sonic now I have the Golem. Golem's resistances along with those granted by the Sonic shields means that he will get softcapped resistance to, I think, pretty much everything and a lot of mez protection from, again, its resistances and from Sonic Dispersion. The resistance debuffs from Sonic go really well with the defence debuffs from Earth. Then there's Liquefy to go along with Quicksand, Earthquake and Volcanic Gasses.

Before lvl 32 I couldn't solo; it was almost as difficult as my Ice/Cold controller, but now I have the Golem it's easier even if it is a bit slower.
  16. For me it's a combination of concept and what I haven't played before. I also tend not to play anything except Controllers and Dominators because, well, I like it when they can't move.
  17. I'd like to see Poisons available to Controllers, Corruptors and Defenders. To be honest, the "evil set" argument doesn't really hold any water now we'll be able to make villains who can empathise and heroes who can exploit pain.
  18. Q. How many Illusion Controllers does it take to screw in a lightbulb?
    A. Two; one to summon the Phantom Army and a second to pick it up when it falls out a few seconds later.

    Q. How many Gravity Controllers does it take to screw in a lightbulb?
    A. Four; one to Propel it, one to Lift it, one to Wormhole it and one to put it in manually because the Propelled one broke it.

    Q. How many Fire Controllers does it take to screw in a lightbulb?
    A. One but the Fire Imps gain a perception bonus and attack a mob on the other side of the building.

    Q. How many Plant Controllers does it take to screw in a lightbulb?
    A. Two; one to put it in the ground and the second to point out that it's not growing.

    Q. How many Earth Controllers does it take to screw in a lightbulb?
    A. Too many because the first just used Quicksand.

    Q. How many Ice Controllers does it take to screw in a lightbulb?
    A. Three; one to use Ice Slick, one to use Frostbite and a third to complain that Ice Slick is now useless.

    Q. How many Mind Controllers does it take to screw in a lightbulb?
    A. One but you can't remember what happened afterwards.

    Any regrets?

This for me too. I remember seeing a copy on the shelf in Game and I asked my parents if I could get it. They refused. Then I saw City of Villains and asked again. Again, they refused.

Then I forgot about the game until last year and my parents couldn't refuse this time.
  20. Well we got Cold Domination in i16... I think that's the only new thing since Plant Control and Thermal Radiation in i12.

Edit: We also got a 5th Power in some Ancillary pools:

Fire Mastery: Rise of the Phoenix
    Psionic Mastery: World of Confusion
  21. As a fellow Welsh person I also get bored of the sheep gags.

The best way I like my sheep is roasted!
  22. In the case of a server list merge I would also stay firmly rooted in Defiant. The only time I click on another server is in the event of a misclick and it's usually Zukunft.

    A DP question

I'm not an expert on Blasting sets (or anything for that matter) but surely the problem with DP is the low damage and long animation times. Even if it is just 5-10% lower damage than Energy Blast, the animations are quite long which doesn't help the set.
