You mean what Controllers also got (and do better with) and what all melee and ranged ATs have had forever?
-
I really wasn't expecting it to have a radius of 15ft. Usually splash effects tend to be 5ft. I'm not complaining though! This should make the power quite competitive with the Assault sets.

Propel doesn't have the splash knockdown and Dimension Shift doesn't shift teammates in the area.

Is this it? No thanks. I'd rather not take part in the purchasing of an overused stereotype that some Irish people find offensive.
Also, it's a complete rip off. -
Quote:I don't. The new Wormhole is really good at handling alphas. This is something Ice Control can only dream of doing but is instead stuck with Ice Slick. I like Ice Control but it needs to be looked at.On the side note, even with the recent changes, I'd rank Grav as the worst primary for Doms
Dealing with alphas whilst soloing the incarnate content on my Ice/Ice Dom consists of jumping in with Glacier and hoping for the best. -
Or just remove them and add them automatically to the contact finder.

Simply the Dominator archetype. Other factors include power customisation, all the costume options and alignment changes.

I have several assignments to do for early next week so I can't make full use of that time. I'm just aiming to get my Grav/Energy from 34 to 35 and my Dark/Dark from 24 to 28. Anything else is a bonus but I probably won't even be able to manage this.

Blueside: Any of the Shadow Shard ones.
Redside: Slot Machine. -
Forgot about Night Fall, but Engulfing Darkness still does sleep-patch-breaking DoT regardless of whether it's upfront or not
EDIT: Think I also forgot Midnight Grasp. -
-
I should hopefully get my assignment done by that time. Just another 3,000 words to go!
-
The powerset panel will just end up being another melee set.

From what I gather, the only benefit to having it in a slow recharge power is that you have a higher chance of it proccing. However, as Dominators should build for recharge your ST Hold should recharge in 3 or 4 seconds rather than 8 which means you can spam it so often that it ends up proccing anyway (as well as controlling multiple targets if you switch). I think the boost lasts around 30 seconds so you should be able to get and maintain three stacks of it quite easily.
-
Quote:The proc stacks three times. Put it in a fast recharging power and it's a lot better.I've been playing around with some of the ATO procs, and after a bit I think that this one is a little low on the strength scale.
I have it slotted in wormhole where it currently gives me a 14.19% boost to damage each time I use it. At a third of the set's Aim power's potency, I doubt that this increase in damage actually contributes anything. When paired with my strongest attack (lunge), it does only 18 additional damage, meaning that it has less potency than the interface damage proc.
Right now, I'm favoring the straight up additional damage procs to this one. Is it only me that feels this way? -
I'm assuming it'll only proc when you cast it. No idea if the Creepers themselves can benefit from it.
-
I will most likely make a Dark/Dark/Soul too, for thematic reasons. Then I will most likely make a Dark/Ice.

The Dominator ATO set doesn't enhance damage at all so you need to be careful where you put it. It will probably shine the most in ST Immobilises, followed by ST Holds because, unlike with Controllers, you don't need to slot them for damage. However, it requires taking and slotting the ST Immobilise in the first place, making the ST Hold more viable.
I'd say that it's not good in any power that does decent damage or has long recharge. It doesn't really matter if it's in an AoE or not so, as ST attacks recharge faster, it's better putting them in there. -
Well it would be nice if you could put them in the T1 blasts from Assault sets but I'm pretty sure they can only be put into control powers. So they're best in ST Holds, Sleeps or Immobilise.
-
I'd put it in the fastest recharging mez power, such as any of the ST Holds or similar. On my Mind/Psi, perma-dom I put it in Mesmerise (which has a 2 second recharge), then I spammed it and saw my damage increased by 81% (18% from set bonuses then three stacks of 21% from the Superior proc). It's also very easy to keep up. I'm pretty sure it works on cast rather than on hit, so putting it in an AoE doesn't make it any better than putting it in a ST attack.
-
I'd keep Bone Smasher. It's fast, has a decent chance to stun and does a quite a bit of damage so it's useful if something slips past into melee with you.
-
I'd say it's average or above average. The to hit debuffs add a nice bonus to survivability. So not as good as Fire (obviously) but better than Electric. I'd rate it around Ice.
